I recently had an appointment, Friday, March 27th at 4:00. A…read morefew days prior to booking, I called to confirm whether your salon could accommodate a specific request. I explained that I have pink extension hair pieces attached to a hair tie and wanted to know if they could be braided into my hair for an upcoming event. I was told this would not be a problem and was instructed to book a braid service online and add an extension. I was also quoted a price of $48. When I arrived for my appointment, the stylist informed me that she had never worked with this type of extension before and that they typically only use clip-in extensions. While I truly appreciated her willingness to try and her kindness throughout the process, it was clear there had been a miscommunication with the call center. I would have preferred to be told ahead of time that this was not something the salon was familiar with, rather than proceeding with uncertainty during the appointment. Additionally, I was ultimately charged $65 for the service. At no point during the appointment was I informed that the price would differ from what I had originally been quoted. Being charged a higher amount without prior notice was frustrating, especially given the circumstances. Again, the stylists were very kind and did their best, and I appreciate their effort. However, the experience overall was not what I expected due to the miscommunication and lack of pricing transparency. I've written to your business when I was texted to review my experience and I've yet to receive any kind of response or reconciliation of the issue.

I love coming in to Shenanigans for a few hours in the seat with Jennifer. My hair always looks & feels amazing afterwards! If you need a color, a cut, or one of the other Kenra fantastic treatments offered I highly recommend Jennifer. Jennifer is an amazing colorist who does spectacular things with reds. She is also a very friendly, warm person who puts the client at easy as soon as they walk in. I have been in the salon many times while Kenzie was also there. I have seen her work with children (a little guy who wanted an awesome mohawk), an elderly lady, and a few women in their twenties. She also is very personable and all her clients look wonderful when leaving her seat. I recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a fantastic hairstyle at a reasonable rate! read more

I dont trust many people with my hair before coming to Jennifer I hadn't had a haircut in 7 years and have NEVER done full color. Now I'm Purple (which I love) with Jennifer's magic hands of course, my hair always feels AMAZING after and I cant keep my hands out of it. Highly recommend worth every penny. I also get pedicures and gel manicures with Lauren who is equally as amazing! I love all her ideas, and her personality is a bonus! Jennifer Anderson is amazing!! She listened to everything I had to say about the look I was going for before she started. She made my visit comfortable and did exactly what i wanted. She posts unprofessional anti-mask rants and conspiracy images on her public business page. Final Update: An additional 3 clients (totalling 6) reached out to me with their stories after this post. The pictures of her personal instagram are from these clients, as I unfollowed her weeks ago. I have not been seeking out information, it has been sent to me by scared clients because they're afraid of speaking out on their own. Their fear is understandable, considering the owner's response to this review. Furthermore, I have reorganized my inital review updates below. I will not be updating this review unless more information is sent to me by my fellow former clients. I admit, the review is very long so I understand if it is not read in full. That said, it is important to speak out against harmful misinformation and behavior, even at personal risk. Review Update #1: This is an update on the review I posted almost a month ago regarding Heather's anti-mask and anti-vaxx posts on private and PROFESSIONAL socials. After that review, 3 customers of hers reached out to me and said they were also uncomfortable and wouldn't be going back. Another said that Heather refused to wear a mask during a recent appointment despite being asked to do so. Heather has since doubled down on these posts, saying that people asking for masks are throwing "tantrums" and "chipping away" at businesses. She originally posted that no one had to wear masks (falsely citing HIPAA and the ADA) and now claims she only meant pregnant women don't need to wear masks. Asking people to wear masks is not "ableist" despite her insistence that it is. If you can't wear it, take advantage of the curbside pickup, delivery, or one of the other reasonable accommodations being made available. Spreading misinformation regarding masks (and vaccinations!) is EXTREMELY dangerous and something that actively harms people. I will NEVER support Heather again, I hope that others who read this will join me and the aforementioned others in leaving. She clearly doesn't care about her clients. Attached are photos of her professional and personal social posts. She has a story section dedicated to anti-vaxx falsehoods, regularly rants about masks on her story, and complains on FB about being "discriminated against" for not wearing a mask (where she's friends with many clients) Review Update #2: Heather keeps falsely claiming it's ableist to request people wear masks in businesses but is now posting horribly ableist things about an autism "cure" needing to be given the same attention as COVID-19 treatment because, apparently, autism is the same as a deadly virus with life altering effects on survivors? This is a whole new level of hypocrite. I'm actually mad. To imply autistic individuals are suffering and need to be cured is just... the worst. Pic attached. Additional photos have been added.

She put me back in the bowl and it wasn't much better the second time. Every time I said this is not what I asked for, my statements were ignored and masked with "it looks soo good!" After 4.5 half hours being in that chair I cried because my hair looked terrible. No one offered to fix it or make the situation better- just collected payment. I could not get out of there fast enough. The technique was definitely not balayage... It was a messy job at highlights. I now have an appointment somewhere for a correction.
