I was referred to Ari for a curly haircut in summer of 2024. I went to book on a Monday which was a holiday but her Gloss Genius books were open so I booked an appointment and a few days later received a rejection text with no explanation, mind you the salon website did NOT say they were closed either. I had to text Ari to ask why, she said they were closed, no sorry for the confusion nothing. So I rebook for a few days after that original date and got in. Jump forward 4.5 months later same experience different day. Now her Gloss Genius books are open for Xmas eve which is not unusual in this industry BUT because of last time I called the front desk and they said they'd pass my message on. At that point I just decided to leave it alone and book for 1/6/2025. I get a text AFTER I booked via her site and she asks what service I wanted!? Like girl how do you not know, look it up! You have my name and number, that's what online booking is for and I told the receptionist what service I wanted. I responded with I booked online for January and not only did she not respond she didn't confirm the appointment sooo today 2 hours prior to me thinking I have a haircut, I call to see if she's working because I didn't receive a reminder and they said yes. I told them what was going on, they put me on hold to talk to Ari and the girl comes back to say, "she can get you in at 5:30!" So what you're saying is she's so kindly squeezing me in when I made an appointment for this online 12 days ago. I said never mind because I'm over it. The unprofessionalism is mind boggling. My first appointment was a cut and all over color. I paid cash and tipped 20%! If you can't figure out how to work Gloss Genius they have a tutorial and customer service. The thing about all this is she rents a chair at this Salon so her behavior makes everyone look bad. I was planning on bringing my mom for a curly cut and getting some nail services as well. I've been in the cosmetology industry for 31 years and I'm self employed and not only would I have apologized via a phone call, I'd have comp'd the service with no question! I was also going to shell out money for a foil too but now I've found another stylist who will take my money.

This is what my hair looked like two days after I got my hair done.

I got my hair done by Taylor Woodward I had two different appointments with her. I have red faded hair with no previous color underneath. I asked to go blonde. After spending $600 and having two appointments not only was I not blonde but she didn't do what I asked for. There was an understanding it might take a couple appointments to get me fully blonde, but after two appointments, not even half of my hair is blonde. After spending another 300 the second time I left the salon I had already looked like I needed a touchup. My red hair was even more faded looking and all she did was add blonde highlights on top of it and try to lighten my ends. The tone was uneven and did not even blend well or match my natural hair or the red, on top of that was about 4 inches grown out. So I spent $600 total to look worse than when I came in initially. . After asking if she could fix my hair and do what I wanted she told me she would not take bleach to my hair again because it would be a waste of product and didn't want to damage my hair. My hair is EXTREMELY healthy. she didn't feel the need to refund me any money or give me a discount on my next appointment. I'm also a cosmetologist and just prefer not doing my own hair. I got second and third opinions from other cosmetologist and they all agreed I should have been blonde after spending $600 and the hair does not look good. Taylor also agreed the day after I got my hair done that she did not like the colors either, but she was not willing to fix it the way that I wanted it done and she was not willing to add more blonde When she could had. I am not a Karen and I'm not one to just write reviews or complain but look at the picture below and tell me if you think that is $600 worth of Service to get to blonde.

Britnie is absolutely the best stylist to walk to planet lol. I adore her and the work she put into my hair. I came in with a blunt bob haircut and she blended 20" extensions into my hair perfectly. Her assistant as well was extremely sweet and made sure I was comfortable the entire time and taken care of.

I was referred to Holly at Leidan Mitchell Salon by my mother-in-law who raved about her. Being new to the area, I still didn't have a hair salon or a person just yet. I have been struggling with my hair for a while both with the color, and overall health/condition of my hair. I decided I wanted to go back to my natural color and chop off all of the dead hair which was pretty much more than half of it. I was able to make an appointment with Holly, easily. I texted her and she works great off of text. She also asked for some inspiration photos which I sent her both of cut and color. She said no problem. She was always really easy to work with and a great listener. When I showed up I told her that I had somewhat of a direction but then I was also open minded to anything that she had to say. She had her assistant, Katelyn who is super sweet helping her out the whole time. It was really nice to see them working so well together. The salon itself is very nice, clean, and big. Located in a gorgeous area in Chandler. I enjoyed the whole experience and I thought that the price was extremely fair for what I asked. I got a cut, color, and treatment all for $175 which is a lot less than I'm used to paying. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience and I've already booked my second appointment. I highly recommend the salon and Holly.

My experience was great! The whole process of booking was simple and easy, Katie even made sure that our schedules would line up and was incredibly helpful! When I got there, it was a different but lovely experience from any other salons that I've been to. The vibe was cozy, nice, and had me feeling relaxed the whole time. Of course, it can be loud, but that's what you expect from a hair salon -- nothing too bad. Getting my hair done by Katie was amazing and she understood exactly what was best for me and what I wanted. She even helped me with any questions I had to take care of my hair and how to style! The vibe - I had a bad experience booking my reservation but have heard no one can find good help nowadays; receptionist was rude upon arrival and clearly doesn't understand the difference between ombre, partial weave and or highlights without bleach. Let alone quote an estimate. Salon Service - gossiping about customers between the stylist and receptionist was obvious and unprofessional. Seriously. Quality of service - it was okay but not what I wanted; tried this place five times with two different stylists. First stylist was part-time and unsure of herself so I booked with another stylist who appeared confident but does not follow instructions and wanted me to return if I did not like it. Hmm I just spent 3 hours sitting in a chair to find out you did what you wanted to do because you don't have the heart to admit you don't know how to achieve the look a client wants? No, no, no -- I will not return, you had plenty of time to figure it out. If you don't know or you too are not sure how to do what a client asks for, ASK someone experienced to step in. Geez the nerve. It's not even about the money. It's about the time I took to be there and wait time to look forward to seeing the results I wanted. Last thing I want to hear is come back and let me try again. ‍ 4-stars is generous considering I will not be back. They won't ruin your hair but they will not do what you want either. read more

Absolutely gorgeous full salon and day spa. High end spa products. Professional stylist with five star customer service. The service from the moment you are greeted you feel like a VIP. The large windows give the entire place a very bright and uplifting feel. Its a nice touch to be offered a beverage while your waiting. WIFI is available as well as a lovely patio. The full service day spa offers massage, facials, nails, hair extensions , color, children and Mens cuts. Definitely a family friendly place. Perhaps the experience of the mother & daughter that commented on my review has been different and Kaylee W. had an off day when she did my hair. Perhaps she lacks the experience to know how to color "senior hair" with some gray coming in and was out of her depth. Or, as I believe and the hairdresser that fixed my hair believes, she should have known better than to coat my entire head of hair with foamy brown dye and then to weave in blond while the dye was in--and should never have left it all on for TWO hours while she took other clients. She acknowledged that she has only been doing hair for 4 years and while, as I said previously, she does a nice cut, I feel she is out of her depth on color. At least in my experience. What earthly reason would I have to write the review that I did for someone decades my junior who I do not know except through this one encounter? Feel free to disagree and write about your own experiences with her but please do not stoop to impugning my character. That type of bullying says more about the character of the person making the allegations than the person they are making them about and serves to make others reluctant to give reviews which undermines the mission of Yelp. read more

The facial was canceled, but the massage was supposedly still on. Nobody told us ahead of time that we would need to come back later. After driving over an hour to get there, we were told to wait another hour and a half for the next available massage time. At that point, we simply walked out. No one followed up afterward, and the manager never returned our calls despite leaving messages with the front desk. If you value your time and want to avoid disappointment on a special occasion, I'd recommend booking somewhere else that actually values its customers.

She also didn't apply the chemical peel in some areas of my face and I had to return back and have her add the peel in that specific area. Upon my arrival she stated that she had just purchased a new bottle of this specific peel because a previous customer complained that the same peel applied didn't work. She mentioned she was unaware the chemical peel had a shelf life. I left feeling uneasy and disappointed at spending over $100. I've been starring at my face all day and the only thing changing is 3 red spots on my right cheek. The rest of my face is exactly how it is any other day. There is no tightness or redness or flaking. Absolutely nothing. Needless to say, I am contacting the owner of this establishment on Monday and will expect a full refund on my Amex because ripping people off and trying to blind them is against the law. I picked this place based off of the reviews I found on Yelp. Tiffany told me that she has persuaded people in leaving reviews by offering them discounts. That's not very authentic. Edit: 5/23/17 I was looking through my past reviews and realized I never came back to let you all know that I got my money back.

When I finally received my massage, I had booked and paid for a service that was supposed to include hot stones, but the hot stone portion was never provided. Additionally, the massage was not the full hour that was advertised. The quality of the massage itself was also disappointing. The therapist immediately began using their elbow for deep pressure without first warming up my muscles, which was uncomfortable and not what I would expect from a professional massage. Despite my dissatisfaction, I still left a tip and moved on. However, when we informed the staff that the hot stones had not been included, they offered a refund but then said they would charge the tip again, which was confusing and made little sense. To make matters worse, they charged my card an additional $24.50, which was not even the amount I tipped. Several days later, they refunded the $24.50 charge, but I still have not received the original refund that was promised. Between canceling my appointment at the last minute, failing to provide the service that was advertised, providing a subpar massage, and mishandling the refund process, this was a very frustrating experience. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service make it difficult for me to recommend this business to others.

My experience here has been nothing short of horrendous! Do not go to Ashley Grubbs. She is extremely immature and unreliable. In the last two months she cancelled my appointment 3 times. Twice due to illness and once because she forgot. Which I might add I discovered after sitting in their lobby 30-40minutes until she finally responded to calls from the receptionist. She managed to turn my original strawberry red with golden highlights into something that resembles skunk stripes in white and dark brown. I am not kidding! She had no patience (began throwing a tantrum) when I the client requested she correct her mess even though I patiently looked past her three last minute cancellations. She herself will charge you 1/2 the $$ of the service if you cancel at the last minute as she did. After posting my original review she proceeded to have three friends private message me on yelp. (yet another indication of her lack of maturity and gossipy nature) She even continued to harrass me here on yelp herself via private message after I blocked her from texting or calling me. This woman child needs return to her backwoods hometown and quit trying to hurt and get even with people who have more than she does, with her lack of manners and cooth. This I know because of her many comments about being annoyed with clients who waste their husbands money gettting weekly salon treatments. The salon itself is outdated and in dire need of a remodel. What more can I say than avoid this place! read more

* I've been to my fair share of esthetician's and Brittney is the best!! I have already recommended her to everyone I know. Here are just a few reasons: 1. Hand Extractions (No more facial injuries from metal pore popping instruments) 2. Massage, Brittney does a great job of incorporating massage into her facials, score! 3. A nice-smelling spa (I know this is minor but I hate that chemical smell spas can sometimes have like a doctor's office) 4. A friendly face (I've already met my fair share of esthetician's with attitudes, thank goodness Brittney is not one of them) 5. A follow up. Who takes the time to do that anymore? I absolutely love this salon! For the longest time I had no idea that it is FULL SERVICE! They have a beautiful spa tucked away in the back where it is incredibly serene and they offer facials (Brittney 480-612-1824 is incredible!), massages, and injectables! Leidan Mitchell is beautifully decorated and always uber clean! The staff is extremely professional as well! As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by the friendliest front desk staff I have encountered in quite some time! There is a beverage and snack bar where they have water, lemonade, tea, coffee and ... WINE! I have always been a loyal customer of my esthetician, Brittney. And this has slowly become my go to salon for everything! I now have my hair and nails done here (Leslie is great for gel nails) and my massages as well! Check this beautiful salon out! I have been to Leidan Mitchell three times and I think it is a great salon! The staff is professional and the salon itself is beautiful. I followed my stylist, Karin Boyle, from her last salon. She is the BEST stylist/colorist I have ever had. Karin has over 19 years of experience and is extremely knowledgeable about the latest styles and trends. Going to see Karin is always the highlight of my week! She is always super friendly and has great ideas and suggestions. She is a wiz with color and always knows what is going to look great! What I love most is that she takes the time to show me how to style my hair myself so I can have that 'just from the salon' look all the time. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. Annabelle happened to have some time, she fixed the hot mess that was my hair and I have been coming to her ever since. That was three years ago and wow I lucked out. You know that feeling you have when you completely trust your stylist? It's hard to come by, but I found just that with Annabelle. I have sent several of my friends and coworkers to see her, and they too wont go elsewhere. Not only is Annabelle amazing but all the stylists are terrific. This salon is clean, stylish and provides high quality services and products! I see Brittney for my skincare and Melissa for my eyelash extensions. Brittney is amazing! I have been seeing her since 2006 and have never been disappointed. She is incredibly knowledgeable and has helped me with every skin care issue I have ever had from finding skin cancer to helping me with hormonal acne issues and sun spots. She's great about customizing a home care regime just for me. I absolutely love the products she carries! The really deliver results and last quite a long time! I highly recommend Ashley Grubbs for hair, she is completely accommodating. She frequently engages workshops and continued education. I love her ability with color, it's some of the best work I've seen. She does an amazing job with my 8 year old son hair too, and he loves being able to socialize with her during his haircuts. You just can't go wrong. Leidan Mitchell also has a great Nail Care department. Some of my favorite girls are Mandy, Leslie, and Codou. These ladies between them have combined 40+ year experience. I love getting my nails done by the most fantastic nail tech, Leslie Cooper. She is so creative and I always get complements. This salon is so attractive and full service too. My only frustration when getting my toes and fingers done are the very uncomfortable chairs that are provided for us to sit in. The cushin's are broken down and my legs get the circulation cut off while sitting there. It seems that client comfort would be important yet it's been over a year with the same complaint. read more
