They insisted on putting a toner on my hair when I REPEATEDLY told them that I don't like toners AND when they finished my hair was now brassy with orange chunks. When I pointed out the orange she told me it was "still lifting" Then I asked for a trim and they woman said okay then took my cape off and told me to follow her to the register. NEVER cut my hair. I've been to Jenna once last year and I'm here to tell you, this place has the best customer service I have ever seen. I found it using a Groupon coupon and since it was a first visit , I was getting 20 percent off anyway . (1 coupon /discount per visit) Jenna squeezed me in sooner then I expected , got a slot open, and called right away after trying to fit me in between a few other slots. Gotta love the no shows . I needed a color and cut bad and she not only stayed cheerful but smiled the entire time. I'm from Minnesota and she out did any hair stylist I've ever met from Minnesota nice country . When I returned to AZ this past winter it was in my plans to look her up. I didn't have too, she called me. Talk about great timing and I could feel her smile through the phone I swear . I've been trying to find a stylist that doesn't charge $80 a cut here in Arizona since I moved here and have had lackluster results until today. I called in at around 3:00 and they got me in last minute at 4:30 which was amazing. I arrived and the whole staff was super friendly and fun; they made me feel comfortable and very welcome in the salon. Tiny cut my hair from about shoulder length (super thick) to a very short "pixie" cut and I am absolutely in LOVE with this cut. She replicated the picture I showed her practically perfectly and I couldn't be more happy. She's got a great attention to detail and listened and gave suggestions throughout the cut. The shampoo, cut, and style ended up about $40 which is a great price for great work. Needless to say I've found my new home for haircuts! read more

After yelping for a long time and reading all the reviews I could possibly read I decided to give Mane Obsession a try and I couldn't be happier with the way my hair came up. I got my hair done with Tina and she is amazing! She listened very carefully to what I wanted and was able to get my hair done very similar to a picture I showed her. I used to have highlights and and it was really bad. I decided to get a glaze and balayage only on my ends and my hair looks beautiful and healthy. I also got a hair cut which was just the perfect length. I watched Nina working on other girls and she did an amazing job on all of them. I have been getting my hair done at this salon for 10-years.. I will have to admit, I haven't been faithful to Miss Nina only for financial reasons (that's usually what the early 20's will do to some people). HOWEVER, you can not beat the service and expertise no matter the cost (which is still moderate). I have gone to other hair cut locations from the least expensive to higher-end businesses (like Toni&Guy or Regis) and every single time I have to return to Nina to fix my mane. She is a blessing and has saved me (as I tell her) every single time over the years. Miss Nina will not spare your feelings with her tactful, honest opinion and refuses to let you leave looking silly with the wrong hair cut. A true professional, she will even coach you through using the correct products in your hair to extend the haircut's look (if you're wallet seems tight at times and you can't make it in every 8 weeks). Nina only uses products in her store and that she really believes that work. Nina is at a very high demand, however, she employs staff that are just as professional as she is. They also allow walk-ins at times for emergency situations. read more

Absolutely awful first experience here. Sherry I guess was her name? I came in for a gel removal and gel manicure and pedicure. She was nice at first until I wanted the polish off my toes completely off. It looked like a 5 year old painted my toes(I had more polish around my toenails) she kept telling me it looked good but it looked quite embarrassing. Plus I asked her to ONLY file my toe nails- instead she cut them down to nothing, super super short! Then she still wanted $30 after she took off the polish off my toes. Absolutely NOT! She was very defensive and argumentive. She smelled like a pure ashtray- she took a couple breaks outside to smoke her cigarettes. I came here based on the reviews and I shouldn't have. I'm glad everyone else has had a good experience but mine was FAR from it. If she ever leaves maybe I'll come back but first impressions are everything. Found this salon online and since it was close to my house I thought I would try it. Called and scheduled an appointment with Stephie. The first time she cut my hair was ok. I went back in and had her cut it short. She left my sideburns way longer on one side than the other. When I asked to purchase a texturizing product they were out of it. They said they would order it and let me know when it came in. Never heard from them. Scheduled again with Stephie, hoping it would improve. This time there was a strand of hair that was left super long, way longer than the rest of my hair. I tried one last time. ( Yes, I am a glutton for punishment)!!!!!! While Stephie was cutting my hair, she informs me that 4 weeks will land in March. Since the date was February 19th, I was rather confused. She then informs me that she will be out of town from March 20th thru the 26th. Ok fine, no problem. When I got home and showered and saw what she had done, big problem. She had literally butchered me. Obviously the fact that she was going to be out of town for a few days meant that she had permission to cut my hair down to nothing so that I wouldn't need a haircut while she was gone, right???? WRONG!!!!! I have had bad haircuts before, everyone has, but I was so embarrassed by my haircut, I literally had to wear a hat to work. I would strongly recommend that you do not use this salon.
