AMAZING salon! Two months ago, I had the WORST haircut I have ever received from The Edge Salon, so I went in for a consultation a day before my appointment to have Charlie (AKA The Hair Surgeon) look at my hair situation. My layers were all uneven, choppy and disconnected but she said she'd be able to salvage the mess. Today I had my hair cut and fixed and I have to say, my whole experience was very satisfying. First and foremost, I was greeted by name from the gentleman that assisted me yesterday (I was very pleased he remembered). Secondly, I appreciated how knowledgeable Charlie was with her craft. She told me what her plans were with my hair and gave me options as well. She had a student sit in while she corrected my cut, so it was nice to hear her explain her methods and techniques as she was evening out my hair and making sure she was proving me the best cut to accentuate my wavy hair. She had great product suggestions as well and even gave me a First Time Client goodie bag to go! Overall a wonderful experience and a great salon with stylists that love what they do and know what they're doing! I've been a patron at Hair-Do for years. Even since I moved from Gilbert to Chandler, I continue to make the drive to go see these lovely ladies for all my hair needs. Over the years I've had so many fabulous haircuts. And occasionally a hair service that I've been less than enthused over. However, any time that I've woken up the following morning (rarely) feeling even the slightest pang of "this isn't how I was envisioning my hair" they've been more than happy to take the time to make me satisfied, which is a huge part of why I keep coming back. Their customer service is great, as well as the professionalism of all their staff members. I've seen 4 different stylists here: Dani, Brittany, Camee and Kat and all of them have a different affinity. Hair-Do does a great job of matching you to a stylist that fits your hair needs (and type). Make sure to call them up, or use the "find a stylist" feature on their website before your first appointment, so that they can refer the best stylist for your needs. I've always felt listened to, they frequently ask clarifying questions, so that you have a say throughout this process, as well as give you feedback and tips for when you're styling at home. They really want you to look good every day after your haircut, not just the day of your appointment. As someone that went in with very little understanding of how to make my hair work in anything other than a ponytail, I now feel confident in how to use product, and style my own hair-- which I never thought would be something in my repertoire. Please avoid this salon. My stylist was awful, one of the worst haircuts I've ever had. All I asked for was several inches cut off and some layers, and I ended up with an awful, uneven, and poorly blended cut that I paid a lot of money for. I am so disappointed with how my hair turned out. I guess all I can do now is wait for it to grow out. read more

The customer service needs improvement. The hairstylist Brittany is great. The color and cut was beautiful but the people at the front desk are like a group of mean girls. I waited an hour watching a sub stylist curl the owners daughters hair while I waited. The male at the desk laughed in my face. For over $200 for a cut and color at least wait till I leave before you act caddy. Edit: I'm not sure why you can't look me up. I have been going to the salon for 2 years. I looked online for a salon near the RV park we are staying at all month for spring training. I saw the good reviews for Hair-Do and made an appointment online with the first available stylist. Christin was great. I showed her a couple photos I had of what I liked and she cut my baby fine hair into a great fun cut that has lots of volume and is easy to style. The salon has good energy and is set up so you can watch other clients getting their hair done, which I love to do. I also bought some great product (which wasn't pushed on me but I liked it when Christin used it on my hair) that I had never seen before. My first time here today with Cammy. I came in by referral from one of her clients. She listened to me, understood my lack of ability to use my left hand for styling and cut my hair and styled it perfectly! She took the time to show me how to use product to style my hair using one hand and she was amazing! The salon was busy but the employees were friendly and made me feel comfortable. I've been coming here for about one year and I am very happy with my stylist! I've been growing out a short bob that I hated from a different salon. Now I fear any blunt edges! My stylist understands that my hair is naturally wavy, which I love, and that I want movement during the growing out process, not layers with blunt, straight edges. Can't review hair styling capabilities but customer service leaves MUCH to be desired. Left a detailed message for Kim explaining my needs, call never returned, waited a week, called back and was simply told "nope, not accepting new clients." I understand when you have too much business to keep up, but not returning calls and then ignoring future calls is no way to do any type of business. I was warned of her attitude but thought I'd give her a chance anyway. My search continues..... Hopefully I will find more polite businesses in my new home that at least has a front desk that will return a call. read more

If you have really long hair, Emma is the stylist to see! She is awesome! I absolutely love my haircut. I like to keep my hair really long (almost to my waist) but it gets heavy and I've been to so many stylists who just want to chop off the length. What? No. Emma kept the length of my hair minus a few inches of dead ends, but thinned it out and added long layers that had grown out. I'm also picky in that I like a rounded shape at the bottom of my hair and not straight across. Emma knew exactly what I was talking about. I walked away with a beautiful haircut! I've been to Rolf's, The Edge Salon, multiple Toni & Guy locations, White Lotus Salon, and several other pricey salons in the East Valley in an attempt to "find my girl." After many years of searching, I have found everything I have wanted in a hairstylist in one wonderful package at Hair Do Salon: Charlie. The last haircut I received was by the owner of a pricey salon in Gilbert who left my hair an uneven mess. Ironically, I went with the owner assuming that after "15 years of experience" he would know what he was doing. Charlie, being the "Hair Surgeon" that she is, worked patiently with my hair to reverse the damage of a bad coloring job and an uneven haircut, and I have to say, that the result was THE BEST haircut/hair-color I have ever had. Which is HUGE for me to say as I am extremely particular at not only the haircut itself, but the level of customer service, the quality of the hair products used, and the method of coloring. What I love about Charlie is that she takes her time to focus on each individual task. She's not like most stylists who babble away while waving a pair of shears in one hand and a spray bottle in the other. Charlie let me know up front that she wasn't much of a talker because of her need to concentrate on the job at hand, and that statement alone proved to me how much she cares about the quality of her work. She didn't rush through the coloring process; she patiently explained the state of my hair and how we could reverse the damage without compromising the health of the hair. The result is a beautiful, rich, multi-tonal bayalage paired with a V-shaped haircut. My hair looks and FEELS better than it has in years. I no longer have to spray half a bottle of detangler in order to brush my hair. I no longer have to douse my hair in conditioner to get it to a state of just okay. My hair is soft, shiny, EVEN, and rich in color. Charlie is an amazing colorist and hairstylist who I would highly, highly recommend. Though part of me wants to keep her my little secret as I don't want to her to be completely booked up when I need her. If I ever become a famous celebrity, I will pay any price to have Charlie fly half-way around the world to wherever I might be (in my dreams!) read more

I went for the first time to Hair-Do and loved it! Paulsin was fantastic over the phone! I called for a same day last minute appointment and he managed to squeeze me in to there schedule. Because I was a last minute appointment, one girl colored my hair, one cut, and two helped to style. While it could have been overwhelming, they were all so sweet that it felt more like I was a VIP guest and was getting special treatment. I have thick and long hair, so I am always nervous with how much my bill will be when I get color added. But with a cut, color, and style, the price was more then reasonable, and the quality of service great. I will be back! read more

What a cute place! I have been going here for about a year when my stylist switched salons and started working here. The place is decorated nice and has a fun energy! I just went for a cut this weekend and as soon as I walked in, thought I might be in the wrong place! They extended it out so it is much bigger and looks fantastic! I have been to Hair-Do salon thee times now, twice for a cut and once for a color, and I've been to 2 different hair stylists. This place is amazing. The front desk staff is awesome, and both hair stylists I've been to have done a great job. What I love most about Hair-Do is that they continue to get hair education to keep up on the latest methods so they give you the best cut of your life. It's also very community based so there isn't ever really any "stealing" of clients. In fact when I came in for my first appointment I was encouraged to feel free to try different stylists in the event the person I usually go to is unavailable. No one deserves to be hounded because the stylist cancels . Today I was suppose to go in for a Brazilian blowout . A little after 8am, the manager/front desk Paulsen texts me saying Erika is sick and he went ahead and booked a later appointment with another stylist . First off , ASK. Do not assume I want to go to a different stylist at a different time . I texted back, no thanks- and that time would not work with my schedule and I didn't know the substitute's work. And texting that early on a personal number is unprofessional. He persisted on texting and calling me and trying to convince me the time and stylist is what I needed. Then Erika texted me saying I should go to the substitute . Then more phone calls from salon. Then a text reminder I scheduled the appointment today . ( I didn't sign up at that time why am I getting text reminders?!? ) Then a voicemail from the owner asking if I was coming in. I do not understand why such the confusion & persistence when it was clear I said no thanks . I am at work and I thought no thanks means no appointment ( I can't keep looking at my phone for calls and texts ) A simple - "okay no problem , call us to reschedule " would of been ideal . Last visit I was very pleased on my hair , I even talked to Erica and the owner what my needs were for a Brazilian blowout for awhile. Erika had my trust she was going to do a great Brazilian blow out in future. I even sent my good friend in to get her hair done this week . Erika was booked, Charlie was her stylist . My friend enjoyed her services, but noticed salon was pushy to book next appointment . This salon needs to take a chill pill and respect no is no . I will not be returning even thou Erika did a nice job on my first visit . Shame on them for giving me such high anxiety & interrupting my work day -- I need a drink lol. I just went to Hair Do for the first time yesterday and I was sold. Brandy did my hair and she did a great job. I was so happy to get the hair cut for half price since I was a first time guest. I will definitely be back. The only drawback I saw was that things seemed cluttered and even dirty in some areas. i dont think they dust very often at all.
