We visited this place for a party just a few months after they opened. I remember coming here in March 2020 and covid had not yet been declared a pandemic, but this place already had sanitizers out. This may have been our last public event sans masks before covid hit. This place is great. The wife and I wanted to open a place like this, but it takes a lot of commitment. The space is huge for a kids playground and really loved the layout and attention to detail. There are a bunch of party rooms in the back for the requisite birthday celebrations. Stay away from this place LUV 2 PLAY. I am feeling cheated so I will never recommend this place for birthday parties to my friends and neighbors. Don't book your kids birthday party here and do not buy their annual memberships. They messed up my daughters birthday party. I spent more than $1500 for the birthday party here (including cakes) and $450 for the annual membership for my daughters. The staff did not put enough tables and chairs and when guest came then I put the chairs with my wife for guests. It was really a shame moment for us. Their staff left during the party and I have to go outside every time to tell them to fill the water and lemonade jars. They delivered tasteless horrible Pizza 30 mins late and because of this some of my guests were upset. Kids were playing after the party and we left our gifts inside only. We were watching the kids outside and one of the staff put our all gifts pack and put that on the trolley outside of the room. Someone stole my daughters 4 gifts pack included 2 gifts cards worth $150 to $200. I spoke to one of the staff Kurt that you can see that in the camera recording and she said we will call you back as she will compensate this amount later as manager is on leave and she never called. I went there after 2 weeks and spoke to the lady manager and she said I will talk to my owner and we will pay your loss and she never called. Later on the next visit the manager told me that I can give you a free Pizza and $25 gift card. I said I am not interested in this so she said I can't give you cash $200 but I will speak to my owner and I will call you and I will give you $200 games card for your kids so I said that is ok but she never called. Now I got a response from the owner here that I am threatening her staff. If your staff made false promise with me and I just want to share with everyone what happened with me and you are saying that its threatening. Last week I took my kids there to play and I just spoke to one staff that this happened with me so I want to talk to your manager regarding my loss and your manager and owners are not replying back on the call. She said ok, I will tell my manager to call you back but no one called. I agreed with your manager to accept games card for my gifts which was stolen in your place even then you are not fulfilling your promise. If you are not full filling your promise then I have a right to raise my voice. I am a CEO of a reputed media company and $200 is nothing for me, while the monetary value of the stolen gifts is not significant, the principle of the matter is important to me. I value honest communication and hope to find a fair resolution. I wanted to solve the issue from the 1st day but I got false promises only. I never asked them to pay me $200 cash. I am still ok to accept $200 games card but if they will not accept their mistake and will not provide the games card then I don't want to continue even my annual membership and I would prefer to get my membership money back. When I attempted to address the issue by writing a review, I was accused of threatening their staff. My intention was simply to resolve the matter amicably, but my efforts were met with false accusations and unfulfilled promises. While I understand mistakes can happen, the lack of resolution and apparent dishonesty from the owner (claiming I threatened the staff, which is untrue) were extremely disappointing. My aim is not to cause trouble, but to share my experience and hopefully reach a solution. Additionally, I would appreciate a sincere apology for the problems encountered during the party. If they will not solve this issue then I will ask all my friends who attended the party to write a honest review of the party arrangement feedback next week here as they all saw that me and my wife were putting chairs and tables. If LUV 2 PLAY fails to rectify this situation, I will not hesitate to share my honest feedback on other social media platforms. read more

The place advertises to have an infant/toddler space, which is why I decided to bring my 1 year old. I even called the day before to confirm. They do have a space for 4 and under but nobody enforces that rule. We had 5,6,7 year olds constantly running into that space, throwing toys, balls everywhere. My one year old was petrified and didn't leave my side. When I went and told management, they said "there's not much we can do. We can try to make an announcement". If you're unable to safely maintain a space for infant/toddlers, please don't advertise it! Absolute waste of our time and money, and we had a very scared 1 year old to calm down after. read more

My son loves coming here I've been taking him here since they first opened. My son has a lot of energy. This is my go to place for him to let all of his energy out. I like how there is a seating area where the parents can sit and relax while the kids play. For me the membership is worth it because we can come here as many times as we want. Very overpriced for what you get. $18 bucks gets your kid admission to play on the play structure, but that's pretty much it. The play structure is impressive, but not $18 impressive. There is an area with a machine that sucks up balls and blows them out the top, on the rare occasion it works. While there it was constantly jammed. Additionally there are 4 very impressive ball shooters above this area, but not a single one was working (as other reviews have noted). There are a number of arcade games (Chuck E. Cheese-style), all of which are not included in admission and cost (a lot) per game. There is also a food area with pricey food (but at least they sell booze for the adults). Both kids and adults are required to wear the Luv2Play grippy socks at $2.50/pair. (It doesn't matter that your kid has nearly identical Kids Gym Berkeley grippy socks, you still have to buy and wear Luv2Play's socks, which is silly...) And requiring and charging adults is unnecessary and feels like a shakedown. I mean, every adult signs a waiver upon entry... And if you're going to fully close for a period during the day to clean, I would expect to see the play structure clean... For the admission cost, at least some of the arcade games should be included, and all the equipment should be properly maintained and operational. And this place desperately needs something like a large trampoline or a bounce house. Mel's Play Place (RIP) and Kids Gym Berkeley (RIP) both had a better selection of activities/options to keep kids entertained for a long time, at a reasonable price; Luv2play does not... 5/9 Update in response to owner's reply: 1) I never took issue with the number of adults admitted with a child (I was the only adult with my child on this past visit), I took issue with the fact that you force adults to buy your "special" socks (and that you require your brand of socks for the kids even if they have nearly identical socks from a place like Kids Gym Berkeley (that have been worn once). 2) I saw no reply regarding the layers of dust on some of the equipment. We luv 2 play and have come here since they opened . My daughter is now 5 and looks forward to come here multiple times a week. The facility is nice, the food is good , the bathrooms are usually all clean. The lady that people talk about in the reviews " yelling at children" is actually more so when kids are running up the slice, throwing balls down the slide or bigger kids in the play area under which is suppose to be under four ( parents tend to not watch their kids so she's get on them about following the rules ) which rubs people a wrong way but she's a gem . Overall we love it here , some of the employees who's been here the longest are the more nicest compared to some of the newer ones . read more

Literally half the employees start gossiping with each other about customers and the kids who are there right in front of you. They're so unprofessional, it's ridiculous. Welll you get what you paid for...pretty much sums up this place. Me, the wifey and baby girl were planning to go to the Oakland Zoo and when that didn't pan out, for driving almost 3 hours, we felt bad for our daughter that we wanted her to have fun. I found this place on yelp having a 4 star review thinking oh, let's take our toddler here so she can play. Well as I said, you get what you pay for... The cost was surprising not bad but afterwards, you would know why. You have to know that your going to have to buy their proprietary sticky socks that they make you buy; knowing full well that's how they make 1/4 revenue when they charge a high amount for socks that the owner gets at least 5 cents from China. After paying, me and the wifey and baby girl go and see that are many issues: 1. There is no AC. The place was disgusting hot. For being a knock off Chuck E. Cheese, John incredible pizza place; at least have a strong AC for the parents that have to watch their kids; not power blowers in each of the corners of the place to substitute it as AC. I know there are a lot of bodies with kids and parents; but at least invest in a powerful enterprise AC; you got the money for it. 2. It was dirty and filthy. Go around the place with my toddler, I saw so many dust bunnies and big ones that were at least their for 3 months. Trash on the floor when you enter to pay and put your shoes away. And there even was puddle of pee by the shoes area that my wife almost stepped on, in which the employees didn't even bother to sweep or clean up when they had down time and there was plenty of. 3. The employees. Now I know there must be child labor laws cause if your employees are just high school kids, I think you might get into trouble? The employee if I can call them that were rude, lazy and not even caring to be there. At one time they were huddle up in the front chatting about their plans after work and gossiping who they were going to hook up when I asked them if they had any hand sanitizer for me and my daughter when the front was empty; even being IGNORED and walking away to go to the side of the bathroom or not recogizing me. To the owner, if you hire kids; please don't cause I know it's cheap and looks good on your books, but not even having a uniform to distinguish that they work there, at least a tshirt; wouldn't cost you a thing. I would give it 0 stars as me and the family won't come back as we're not locals but my daughter who is 2.5 did have fun and that's the only thing that matters. But as a parent and a customer, BEWARE what your getting yourself into...like I said; you paid what you get. read more

Absolutely worth the wait!! Given on grand opening day, the lines were long - but what do you expect from a place that everyone's been waiting for? I wouldn't expect anything less. The check in process was a breeze! You sign a waiver for you and your little ones, check in and get socks if need be.. and get ready to have a blast! Not only was this place super enjoyable for the kids, but I especially enjoyed the food options for adults as well. There was plenty of seating for adults to watch their young ones smile and laugh. My first instinct of this place is that it is CLEAN! And organized. The staff were beyond kind and our whole party enjoyed our time here. They nailed it with a place like this on the Tri-valley and then some. I'm not a mother that's nursing, but the wow factor for me was that there was a dedicated nursing room for those who needed it. This was our first time here and it was really crowded when we walked in. I filled out the waiver online, so checking in was easy. My husband, my grand daughter (2yo) and I went and it cost less than $18. Even though it was crowded our grand daughter loved it and it was fairly easy to keep and eye on her. So happy that Luv 2 Play has opened in an area near us! We had a play date here a few weekends ago and our babies loved it! The service was great and prices not too bad either. - 2 parents admitted with 1 paid child. - Prices are a couple dollars more on the weekend but still not bad. - Socks available for purchase $2. We went on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy until later in the afternoon. We stayed in the toddler section for a while and then played a few games. A few older kids came in the 4 and younger section rough housing but there were attendants walking around who were quick to let them know that they had to play in their age area! When a business says "we can't discriminate" or "it's best to have the child come in when it's slow, so everyone can have a good experience" you are already showing me that this place is not in fact welcoming at all! This is a fun indoor playground that gets packed on weekends due to their cute birthday parties. Our daughter has been here a few times and she actually loved it. We decided to have our daughter's birthday party at Luv 2 Play and chose the private party option. Racquel did an amazing job communicating with us, telling us what we needed to provide, and also preparing the venue for our guests. Everything we asked for, Racquel did for us. Needed a certain playlist? Done. Wanted a particular menu? Done. Needed a reminder to send out the waiver to our guests for faster checkin? Done. 30 minutes before our party started, the staff closed down Luv 2 Play to sanitize, sweep, and clean up after the other people who were there earlier. They also made sure that only my party's guests were admitted, helped us get more food when we needed, cut the cake, and helped us with our announcements. We had our party room decorated with banners, table settings for all the kids, and enough food for all our guests. Some comments from the kids who attended our party: "This was an EPIC party!" "Best birthday party ever!!!!" And the parents had fun at the party. Several of them commented that it was very well organized and clean. I would always smile and couldn't take any credit, because we had some amazing hosts running the show. :) read more

We went to the Grand Opening on 1/20 and it was packed! I didn't think I was going to stay and even told my kids that it was ok if we leave, but I am glad we stayed! This is meant for kids of all ages! Infants have their own area, toddler have their own area with slides. Big kids and tweens alike can enjoy the rest while parents can sit and enjoy a drink. Actually, this place is great. When I arrived, I was surprised by the many activities for kids. The pictures online don't do this place justice. My son hasn't done very much since Covid. This was a treat for us. Adults can participate on the play structures. This was great especially since I didn't know how my son would fare since he'd never been to a play place like this before. Covid messed us up there. Also, the lady at the cafe was the sweetest lady I met this week (she was there in the afternoon June 24). She genuinely seemed to care about my experience. I've noticed that so many people that come out of this place have such huge smiles on their faces I just had to try it with my daughter. So many of the comments are such a waste of time to read because I understand going into a place ran through by kids is not going to always be the best but I love how much these employees clean the business!!! They understand kids touch EVERYTHING so you'll see them cleaning everywhere at every chance. I think the windows were even cleaned 3 times in the time frame when I went because of all the little finger prints Great service with smiles loved it so much the people want to make sure they take care of you so you can relax and have fun with your kiddos. Tasty food yum!!!! The wings were sooo crispy and yummy and the pesto chicken pizza is my new favorite. I especially love that you pay to stay as long as you would like AMAZING. My lil one really enjoyed this place. She just turned one and loved running around and this was perfect. They have a toddler area for her age and it was perfect to let her energy out. Everything is pretty much padded so no big issues worrying about that. Very safe environment and still accessible for adults if you need to get in the areas and grab your kids. No slip socks they give you are nice too so you walk around with no shoes and especially with my daughter she falls a lot so having any grip helps. Definitely bringing her back here read more
