I was in Saturday morning, no appt but was told over the phone they would take me no problem. I get there, service is quick, my nails are being done by a girl named Kim. I show Kim my inspiration photo & she says we can definitely do it without issue. So far so good, I like the shape, but the color was off. I didn't say anything, she seemed like she knew what she was doing so I didn't say anything the entire time. I thought maybe I was being extra since it's been so long since I've had my nails done. & a lot of it was subtle at first but I should have paid more attention before I left because these are the worst nails I've ever paid for. I called & they offered to fix them for me but to be honest, I don't want to waste my time or theirs if I don't trust this nail parlor anymore. When I do my own builder gel nails at home this is what they look like. I paid $80!!! I didn't speak up like I should have but regardless this is what I left with vs what I asked for. Took my wife here for a pedi and her tech did not provide a good experience. He we unattainable, rude and slacked on service. He was on the phone taking care of something seemed personal, left multiple times, left out to his car and reading something off to the side all in the middle of her service. He made her experience horrible. However 5 stars to my tech Amy, she did great. She we detailed and has strong hands when she worked on my calls. I had a gel pedicure and a guy came in today. He played his phone full volume with no headphones. It was so annoying and I was trapped listening to it for 45 minutes. Not once did anyone tell him to turn it down. It was rude and inconsiderate of everyone else getting their nails done. Not sure I want to come back. The girl that did my nails pedicure was okay. I went Friday to get a pedicure& a full set, and was at the salon for 4 hours. had a 5:00 appointment & wasn't sat till 5:40, to wait another 20 minutes for them to even start. During my pedicure, she was filing & I said "OW" and she laughed and said "nothing hurts", and then I started bleeding & she said "oh there's the blood" and wiped it with a towel and laughed .. Then to my nails, they were completely botched, to the point another staff member "fixed" them before leaving. I didn't get the original design I wanted because there was no way I was sitting there for another hour to have them fixed. Paid $135 (paid EXTRA for French tip & didnt leave with French tip) to be 100% disappointed. read more

The gentlemen that did my nails ("Michael") did a terrible hack job on my hands and needs to be retrained or stop doing nails altogether. Firstly taking off my acrylic, wanted to rip them off instead of soaking first "tell me if it hurts".. it should never hurt, he should be doing a careful job of soaking off the acrylic. Once my natural nails were in view he kept dremeling my natural nails without about 5 different drill bits I would be shocked if I have any natural nail left on top of my nail bed. He cut all my natural nails shorter than we had discussed when I asked to remove the acrylic. Then we move on to myself asking if he would please trim my cuticles before doing dip. He was very fast and not meticulously trimming my cuticles, he kept trimming at them very quickly without even looking, half of the time he didn't even get all of the cuticle/dead skin off as there was barely any coming off his tool, then he used yet another drill bit to drill over my cuticles? And cut me from it. When doing the dip he did not paint the coat thoroughly missing parts of my nail therefore not my entire nail is even covered in the dip, the dip came out chunky so he attempted to drill it smooth which did not work for one nail as it looked wrinkled. The top coat was not placed meticulously but rather sloppy. He seemed to be pretty careless about his work. At the end I let him know they don't really look that great, I'd be happy to pay if he takes off $5 since they were sloppy which they did do, the manager said she would talk to the owner about my experience and fix my nails but honestly I am hesitant to return if this is the kind of person they allow to work on peoples hands. He expected me to hurt while taking off my acrylics, didn't take proper steps or careful approach to working on my hands, drilled my natural nail to thin nothing left and they look sloppy and butchered after messy dip and sloppy top coat application. Every fear you have when going to a nail salon is what I experienced coming here for the first time. Although he was nice, he is not well trained in this work. read more

I should have known it was going to be a bad experience when the nail tech applied the tips and shape the tips, the file knocked off the tips because he didn't apply enough glue. He took almost 2 hours for what I believed should have an easy set. He left me when black nail polish on my hands and didn't clean up the corners of my nails. The shape is not what I wanted, filing is uneven and the design looks ok from afar. He also put too much too coat that caused peeling hours later. First impression: This particular nail salon is pretty big, bright, and spacious. I believe all the techs were wearing masks which they usually do even before the pandemic. I'm glad they took me in without an appointment and had to get my nails done for an upcoming trip. Experience: my nail tech was decent. She was quick. Rushed it which caused some discrepancies on her work which a new tech from a new place I went to had to fix but she was quick. Could go without their side conversations in their language. I feel it's prob why I stopped going to nail salons and I'm Asian! It's just weird to me especially when you know they speak English. What makes it even more cringy is when Even saw a tech make a gagging motion and sound. Could be that she felt sick or could be from doing someones pedi .. just odd I haven't done my pedi in a long time so I was already insecure about having someone touching my feet. It was weird that not all of them know how to do designs as well. One tech had to transfer his customer to my tech to get a design done... never seen that before. I love leaving with the positive so what I can say about the place though is that they have great selections of polishes, the place is clean. Super clean and bright. Absolutely incredible experience! I went to lush on a whim after walking out of a devastating nail experience and they not only fix the mistakes from the last salon but had the best customer service. The salon is extremely organized and clean, the employees are friendly and accommodating and never once did I feel bad for asking questions or being particular. Lynn, the manager, worked on my nails and I am so incredibly happy with the outcome. She offered suggestions for design and was extremely patient with my indecisiveness at first. I'm not sure his name but he's the shorter older guy that works on nails on the right side when you walk in. I've never had a bad experience there really until today. I've been going to this place for years However he threw a giant fit because when I told him I would like them shorter he had already started putting on powder, 2 nails. He never asked me if I wanted them shorter and to be honest I zone out when I get my nails done. He flipped out and got extremely agitated and started being verbally aggressive. Talking crap I'm sure about me in his language. At least the two women employees on either side said something to him - it appeared they were telling him to shut up basically. But again not in English so not sure. As they are rolling their eyes at his behavior. Like no one gets to throw a tantrum when you are asked to do your job. It's not that deep. I was mortified and he was throwing a tantrum. Embarrassing for him and the rest of the staff. I'm not one to complain and I will pay for whatever I ask for but if you don't ask it's fair to think I might not know when you are supposed to do whatever it is i would like. Your job is literally to ask me what I want and do it? Is it not? I shouldn't feel so uncomfortable in an establishment that I am paying good money for a service to be provided. One of daughters made an appointment about two weeks before going with her sister to get their nails done . Not only did they have to wait for an hour before being taken but they were treated poorly . The technicians were very rough and in a hurry .One of my daughter's toe looked very red and irritated , within three days it was was very infected , her other toe looks infected now as well . I called the salon to talk to someone there knowing that there wasn't much they could do but thinking that maybe this could be prevented in the future . I made an appointment three days prior, (for two of my friends and I). My daughter decided to join us. We arrived and were told we may not receive the services we had appointments for due to being busy! When I let them know we had appointments and had made the appointments 3 days prior, the manager got very snippy with us. I asked for a very simple pink and purple French manicure. I was told by the manager that her tech did not have the skill set to do it! I said "your tech can't do a French manicure?" She replied again "She doesn't have the skill set!" I said "Okay, we'll, have her put on the pink base color, and, I can do the rest myself." She told her tech, then went back to her client and said (I KID YOU NOT!) Well, if you can do it yourself, then why don't you just go home and do it?" This was overheard plain as day! Also, for my daughter, the time before the male at LUSH made my daughters heels bleed. The manager refunded hers for it. This time, the same guy was going to do it again. She requested quietly that someone else do her pedicure. So then the techs started treating her badly! I paid for all of our services and even tipped. I shouldn't have, but, the manager wouldn't come out of the back. I'm not new to mani-pedis but since I'm new to AZ. Worst ever experience with a manicure! Jenny did a great job on my pedi. While I relaxed her the chair she massaged my feet for at least 15 mins. She took about 90 mins with my pedi. Very nice! Not a big deal except I did not plan to spend over 2 hrs on a mani-pedi. I started to notice Jenny really did not understand any of my requests. Every answer she gave me was a yes or "sure." Sometimes she gave a wrong answer so I started to catch on that she really does not understand English. Jenny had me move to a different chair for my manicure and from here things went downhill! I wanted a few tips added because two of my nails broke off and were a lot shorter than my other natural nails. Jenny did not know how to do this. She never really understood what I was asking. Lyn came over and quickly added the two nail tips. I felt concerned that Jenny May not be licensed to do nails. I've never had a manicure where the person could not add the tips to a nail. It seems like a typical procedure for a manicurist. I wanted the dip mani but got a gel manicure. Jenny definitely did not understand anything I was saying. I'm an American born woman so I speak clear- concise - understandable English. Jenny started to add a 6th coat of gel on each nail. It's now almost 3 hrs later and I was not happy. Lyn the manager told Jenny to just add top coat and let me go. My nail polish is sooo thick! The gel polish did not go on smoothly. Either the gel was old or Jenny globed too much on each nail....6 coats! I have never seen 6 coats of polish applied to nails during a manicure. In the end I felt like a guinea pig - that Jenny did not know how to do nail tips nor add polish to my nails. I told Lyn, the manager, about my dissatisfaction. Lyn told me it was $80 for my services bcuz she would give me a 10% discount for my dissatisfaction. Then Amy, another manicurist, who had nothing to do with my mani or pedi got into the conversation speaking in Vietnamese to Lyn and I was now told it's $100 with the 10% off. Once Amy got involved the price for my services went up by $20! Lyn said if the gel nails come off in 5 days they'll replace them for no charge. I will never go back to Lush. Very unprofessional. So disappointed. I am one who 90% of the time writes rav reviews. I'm writing today because you should not go to this nail salon. This is a warning. Worst mani ever! It's unprofessional to speak Vietnamese in front of your customer and then raise the original price by $20! read more

Decided to go to recently opened Lush Nails & Spa salon. It's located right between Bosa Donuts and Dairy Queen. After an amazing pedi, I decided to get a gel manicure. The person who did the mani was different from the person who did the pedi. She initially was paying lots of attention to detail. However, once I was paying I noticed a fuzzy that seemed to have dried within the nail. I asked if it could be removed. The person taking my payment got a buffing block and scratched it off. It's not visible from afar, but it's noticeable enough. I understand they were busy, but for first impressions, and recently opened, I would have hoped for better quality service. read more
