Excellent service, friendly, and great staff! Will definitely come back when services are needed. Also if the cute brunette who mentioned to me that she brings a lot of clothes there to get tailored, is looking for a +1 to an event, I would definitely be interested! read more

Professional, timely, reasonable rates, and very nice person. Phone messaging and ways to leave messages needs improvement.

Doña Lupe is a gem. I came to her with my wedding dress, a complex creature of intricate lace and an astounding train. The dress needed to be let out but had been previously taken in by another seemingly less talented seamstress before the dress was mine. There was barely any material for her to work with, but she managed to peel off each piece of lace by hand, let out the sides, and then place the lace back on piece-by-piece. She also masterfully shortened the lace shoulders, adjusted the bustle placement, and hemmed the bottom of the slip into a perfect circle so I wouldn't trip on it. We spent several appointments getting everything just right, including shoes, veil, and even the mother-of-the-bride dress. Lupe was always incredibly kind and talented. Though she is tough to catch over the phone, swinging by her little shop in person usually does the trick. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

I needed a quick hem for a mother of the groom wedding dress. Timed slipped away and I was leaving town and needed it done asap. Lupe to the rescue. She met me and had the dress hemmed ready to go in a quick turn. Lupe was so nice and understanding from the time I placed the call to picking up my dress. I would highly recommend Lupe for alterations. She saved the day! read more

Excellent service! Reliable, affordable and very friendly. I will definitely use again.

Address is not the correct address, I called to figure out where they were located but no one ever called me back

Made all my high end clothes fit like a dream! She is lovely to work with and very reasonably price. Would def recommend!

I found Lupe after being unsatified with a bigger, better-known alterations place nearby and decided to try her for -2 items. I was pleased with the outcome so have been returning since. Even when I needed an alteration 'pronto' for a family wedding out of town (because I had lost weight since buying the dress & had not tried it on again sooner),despite the busy holiday season, she squeezed me in, all smiles, had the job finished when promised, and saved the day. Lupe is a pure delight, totally understands what is needed, prompt, and accurate. And her prices are very fair. As an aside, I've been reading some of the other reviews, and wondering why so many people with major events like weddings, wait until the last minute to schedule alterations! read more

Good price and on time, easy access to parking very convenient. Personal very informative

Lupe is a fabulous seamstress. She recently did the alterations on my daughter's wedding dress which were quite involved. It turned out wonderfully well! She also did a great job with the alterations on my dress for the wedding and my husband's suit. She was delightful to work with and finished everything on schedule. I highly recommend her! read more

I found Lupe by accident and I am SO glad I did. I have two dresses that needed to be taken in since they were a little loose on the sides. I was nervous because I've had a similar dress taken somewhere else and due to the material the alteration did not turn out so great. Lupe exceeding all my expectations. I will definitely be coming back to her in the future if any alterations are needed. read more

I had bought a wedding dress online to save some money on wedding costs, and I absolutely hated the way I looked in it, and with only 3 weeks from my wedding date I didnt have time to fuss around online to buy another dress (I bougjt it from China and it takes FOREVER to be delivered). It of course needed some alterations. I originally took it to El Paseo Tailors right accross from Lupe's shop, the quote to take in my dress, and replace the zipper was nearly $400.00! This was WAY out of my budget (and 4 times the cost of my dress). My mother suggested I see Lupe and I was not dissapointed. Her alterations made me feel beautiful in my dress and her kindness and affordability ($65.00) will have me returning amd reffering her service for days on end. Thank you Lupe, you truly saved my day, and my wedding day! read more

Lupe went above and beyond all my expectations! I took in my dress to get some alterations done and she suggested some other does on the dress! It looks amazing! She's a very honest person I thought the dress wasn't going to look as great but it looked even better with the changes she made on the back of my dress. I loved it!! You will not regret going, very affordable and fast service. read more

I lost 60 lbs and had 4 pair of jeans from Nordstroms that I could not bear to part with. I went through yelp and looked for alterations all over the net. I discovered Lupes Alterations. Lupe is a true DIAMOND and treats her customers like family. She does all the work herself and takes the time to do it right. I had 2 fittings. One for the waist of each pair of jeans and then a second one for the hem only if the waist was correct. Lupe had literally taken apart the jeans in the seat and waist and cut fabric where needed and then sewed them all back together! They fit perfectly and looked like they were made for my body! She then did the hem and again perfection! I have had many items of clothing taken in or hemmed over the years. NEVER HAVE I FOUND SOMEONE SO THOROUGH AND INEXPENSIVE FOR THE WORK SHE DOES! Her Phone is 760-776-4261 and she is located just behind HWY 111 and Portola in the parking area behind 111. She Does Everything and is amazing at her craft! read more

I dropped off two brand new items to be hemmed with Lupe. She told me they'd be ready for pick-up last Tuesday but no one was there and her shop was locked. I've left many unanswered phone messages and visited her store three times this week. I'm leaving for the season next week and need to pick-up my clothing, repaired or not. If anyone has another phone number for her or information I'd really appreciate you contacting me. Thanks so much, Cecily emailcbs@me.com read more

Lupe is a lifesaver! I needed a full length velvet dress altered for a wedding I was attending in three days. She had the dress ready the next day and it was perfect! Lupe is very reasonably priced, unlike many other places - especially in Palm Desert. I will definitely visit Lupe again and refer anyone who needs quality alterations. Thank you Lupe! read more
