They are horrible. It's literally the only place you can sit with your traveler before security and even though they are scheduled to be open u til 600P they would not seat us at 535 because they "were closing". So if you want time with your traveler my advice, stop ahead of time or bring a picnic. There are several tables on shaded areas around the exterior of the airport. read more

How wonderful to be back at Hollywood Burbank International Airport. The whole place still astounds me .....fantastic parking opportunities, yes pricey of course, but you know like the old saying goes ...."good things no cheap cheap things no good". I cannot tell you how much I love coming here ....and why not.... it is time to fly out and take a break from life ...but before I do that, I need some coffee.... so I came here to the Lunch Box, inside the airport terminal. I was served by Aylin who was extremely gracious, very welcoming and provided superior care and high class customer service ....for my coffee, which I must say was nicely, piping hot and was refilled in my opinion, dumping the leftovers and putting in a fresh cup or a fresh set up...either way, it was superb. It's a great start to my trip out of Bob Hope, this still is my most favorite airport (hello, only in California). read more

I ate here because I had some time to kill before catching my train out of the airport. It was basically empty at 4:50 on a Sunday. I ordered a smoked brisket burrito, and unfortunately it looks better than it tastes. It's pretty average, the cheese was not melted, and the brisket flavor was barely noticeable. On the flip side, service was very good and the staff were very friendly. read more

This is my favorite spot inside the BUR airport. There are so many options for food and it is a peaceful retreat from the usual loud and chaotic airport shuffle. I recommend to try the ice tea, it's a tropical tea and so delicious! read more

This review is long overdue - been flying out of Burbank airport for years and I almost always grab a meal here before heading through security - especially if it's breakfast! Their food is surprisingly excellent for an airport restaurant. Everything I've tried has been great - and their portions are massive! Their breakfasts absolutely rock! They have great eggs Benedict - that they serve with regular bacon and topped with a light gravy instead of hollandaise- it's fabulous! They almost always cook the eggs perfectly for that runny yolk too. It comes with home style potatoes and either toast or a pancake. I usually get the toast but this time I opted to try a pancake- it was absolutely HUGE! Bigger than my head haha! But I didn't care for the texture - unfortunately was very rubbery - so I'll stick with toast from now on. I've tried their avocado toast and chicken fried steak breakfasts- both are also excellent. My husband loves their veggie frittata and their omelettes. And for lunches, their quesadillas are absolutely delicious - I love them! Oh and the coffee is ok - not my fave but not terrible. They have regular and flavored creamers so that makes up for it lol. It's always hot and the refills are free. Staff are friendly and somewhat attentive. It can be hit or miss sometimes. Service can be a tad slow, even if they aren't busy so leave yourself extra time. The vibe is very casual and comfy - they have tables but also a bar area and you're surrounded by TVs playing any kind of sports shows you could imagine. They have an updated menu now (as of my last visit March 2023) with updated prices. Their prices used to be fairly reasonable for an airport restaurant- now I'd say they're what you'd expect to pay at an airport restaurant- definitely a bit higher than normal. But the quality and quantity is decent so I'll probably still eat here anytime I'm flying out of Burbank. read more

I had a terrible experience at Lunch Box in Burbank Airport. My server, was extremely rude and overcharged me for my order. When I tried to explain what happened, the manager immediately took her side without even being there when it happened. The manager kept repeating, "That's what you ordered, that's the customer's fault," even though I explained multiple times how the mistake occurred. I told the server exactly what I wanted, and she kept saying, "Unfortunately, I can't..." and making excuses. I order the same thing every time with other servers, and it's always been perfectly fine. The server even said, "Well, those servers do it wrong," which just shows how inconsistent and poorly trained the staff are. The manager wasn't present during any of this but spoke as if she was there. I pointed that out, yet she chose to believe whatever the server told her after she went into her office and twisted the story. Instead of hearing both sides, the manager instantly took her word and acted like I was the problem. The server stood right next to her trying not to laugh completely unprofessional. Then the manager actually told me, "Next time you should learn how to properly order." Who talks to a paying customer like that? I even left a tip, yet they made me feel like I was in the wrong for speaking up about being overcharged!! This place has zero professionalism or training. I had to ask for my receipt which they didn't give me until I requested it and that's when I noticed the overcharge. I've been charged around $9 and change for this same order in the past, but this time it was $18 and change. Total scam. I won't be returning here. Burbank Airport needs to do better you can't hire rude, uneducated, untrained people and expect decent service. The management here sets a terrible example. Avoid this place unless you want to be blamed for their mistakes. Deserves 0 stars read more

I didn't expect much from this place inside Burbank airport. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad which turned out to be quite delicious especially the chicken! If I could give this place -minus 5 stars I would. I had a breakfast sandwich here a week ago in the early morning. It was supposed to be a Panini, but it was not a Panini. It just showed up like a regular sandwich, which was fine, I was hungry, But I only ate half of it thankfully. I got on an airplane and I had a layover in Las Vegas. When I got off the airplane in Las Vegas, my stomach was at its worst. I've never been so ill. I've been ill for a week. I called them and spoke with the manager, Patty, who told me they would not refund my money that it must've been something I ate before I came there. When I had called the restaurant to tell them that I was feeling ill and that I had gotten gotten food poisoning, They put me on hold and I could hear the people in the restaurant laughing. I'm furious about this actually. It ruined my week. I was trying to enjoy the SUNDANCE film festival...instead I spent most of the time hugging the toilet. I was stranded for four hours at this airport and so I headed over to terminal A and the only restaurant available. Is this one. Physically it does not look good and there was no air conditioning, but I was hungry. What a little gem! We stopped for lunch before a flight and we're really glad we did. The staff are super friendly and the menu is large. It reminded me of a diner. The food was delicious! I enjoyed the Wet Chicken Burrito with a giant cup of hot tea. My wife had the house smoked brisket tacos, initially thinking she was going to save one for our trip, but she ended up eating them both. Lots of tables and we were not rushed at all to leave. Please if you decide to eat here I need you to know what they are offering as a California Burrito is not in fact a California Burrito. This is the only place to eat in the airport that is before going through security. We were not flying out today, just buying tickets in person. We had to waste about 45 minutes and didn't want to leave and re-park, so we ate here. This place is not a destination restaurant. They have a guaranteed client pool. If you're flying out, check out your options on the other side of security. That said, it was fine. We went into the place expecting sub par food at airport prices (meaning expense). All as expected. The service, however, was friendly and attentive. The place was not crowded and we were seated immediately. The food still took 20 minutes though... If you're in a hurry, keep that in mind. 4/5: Onion Rings - better than everything else we ate 2/5: Chophouse Burger - just okay 2/5: Red Wet Carne Asada Burrito - "charred green onion, pasilla black beans, cheddar cheese & spanish rice". The spanish rice is not very detectable in the burrito, but the mixed vegetables in it were. That was kind of weird in a burrito. The red sauce was mediocre at best. I mean, it's airport food so this was not unexpected. Food was 2 1/2 stars (ouch). Service was good but cooking was slow. I have to choose 2 or 3 stars, so I'm going to choose down. Next time, I would leave the airport. read more

Showed up early for our flight trying to beat rush hour traffic. We sat in here to have breakfast. The atmosphere isn't the best when you first walk in but once seated the two young ladies that were serving us were very attentive. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, man was it good! The ladies kept my coffee mug full and the food was great! Not too bad value for being in an airport either. Giving 1 because Yelp won't let you give zero. Looking for food? Don't bother. Service is almost non-existent. We waited 5 minutes to be seated (no hostess in sight) and 5 more at the table before we realized no one was coming. Never saw a server. It was NOT busy - just us and 2 other tables. Neither of which had food or any indication they had been helped either. This is an airport restaurant so people do not have all day to wait. I know help is hard to find but seriously, don't open if you can't even to manage to do the bare minimum. read more

Ok , I found a little gem. I absolutely would recommend this sports bar/ restaurant at Terminal A inside Burbank Airport. I decided to try an airport restaurant when I got to the airport two hours before my flight. This place was empty on a Wednesday afternoon. I walked up to the podium and was greeted right away. The hostess asked if I would like to sit down . I asked to see the menu and she immediately told me to take my time and let her know if I would like to sit. I looked over the menu and decided to try a sandwich. My expectations weren't high because the restaurant was sort of an old school sports type bar/ restaurant. It was a little outdated with the furniture. I was greeted by the waitress. I asked her if she had iced tea and immediately told me she would bring me one. I ordered a turkey club sandwich which comes with house made chips. The food came out in 10 min and I was pleasantly surprised. The sandwich was big enough for two to share. The food was excellent, service was even more excellent. I would definitely recommend if your traveling through Burbank Airport and need to grab a good meal stop and try Lunchbox you won't be disappointed. Great job and two thumbs up for this restaurant. read more

Okay, let's remember that we are in an airport restaurant in Burbank, CA. (subtle eye roll right about now). That said, my wife and I had time for a sandwich before heading back home to NJ. TLDR; Okay place to get decent food at airport prices. Because Spirit Airlines doesn't have an online way to buy multiple seats for the same person I had to go the the Hollywood/Burbank (Bob Hope) airport to buy the tickets in person. The counter person didn't know how to do it and asked if I could come back in 45 minutes. Putting aside that this would cost more for parking I said okay and got lunch at the one sit-down restaurant on this side of the security checkpoint. The lunchbox is pretty large, but only the first section with about 15 tables was open. I opened their online menu and found a burger that I could buy. The service was great. I was directed to an available table right away and they got my drink order going in about 5 minutes. Tip: It's a Pepsi establishment which was ideal with me so I got a diet Pepsi and ordered the chop house burger. It comes with fries, but I ordered mine with onion rings. The wait was a little longer than I figured it should be with the small number of customers so I wouldn't expect to grab a quick bite before a flight, but it's fine if you've arrived a couple hours ahead of time and want to get something to eat before you board your plane. However, there are other places to eat on the other side of the security gate so it's up to you. The burger was fine. Nothing special and the bottom was a little burned. I, however, like that so it was good for me. The order was wrong and it came with fries, but I didn't really care and hunkered down to eat it. There some sort of sauce on it which keeps it moist, but doesn't intrude on the flavor of the burger. The waitress noticed about three-fourths of the way through my meal that it was wrong and brought the onion rings without my having to say anything. She also refilled my drink while I was visiting the men's room. Everyone was friendly and so I'd say the service is very good. It was pretty much what I expected and I don't have any complaints especially because the error was corrected without me having to say anything. I've flown out of this airport many times and never dined here. Not sure if I would again just because the prices (about $25 for a burger with fries and a soda) seem steep. The time for food prep makes it someplace I probably wouldn't want to chance before a flight so there's not a lot of reasons to eat here, but there really isn't anything bad to say about it. read more

So sweet! The service is amazing, especially Caroline! Absolutely loved the food! Thank you! Perfect spot, highly recommend!

I was stuck at Burbank airport, and I didn't want to walk all the way to the neighboring restaurants (it was hot outside). So I peered into this place (airport restaurant??), and saw that they quite a few TV's, so I gave it a shot. I ordered a kale, chicken, cranberries salad and hoped for the best. As I sat and waited I watched a continuous flow of airport employees come by and pick up food to go. There was probably over 15/20 ppl that picked up food while I waited for my food to arrive. I realized that this was a very good sign - if employees were eating here, than the food couldn't be that bad. My salad came, and wow. It was a huge salad, everything looked fresh, and the chicken was even warm. It was a salad I would expect at a very nice restaurant. It was delicious! My only complaint was, that it took quite a long time to get it - but it was worth the wait. It was so good, that next time I'm at Burbank, I'm going to get to the airport earlier, just so I can take the salad to go! Give the place a try. read more

House-made chips were overly saturated with grease and lacked flavor. The chicken sandwich was not what I expected at all. It was literally chicken, sauce, and avocado. The bread was dry, and there were no additional toppings. The chicken was disgusting. The server didn't care about the uneaten food, even after telling her it was gross. We had to ask for our water to be filled and for napkins. The restaurant was kind of warm, and nats and a fly were bothering us. Service could have been much better. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. read more

Not sure why this place has 3 stars. I've been here a couple of times and this spot never disappoints. Friendly staff, good food and fast service. I like to eat here before I go through security (when I have time). Had the feta omelette this morning with egg whites, potatoes and sourdough toast. Delicious! Perfect portions. You don't need a big meal before you fly. As far as the prices, ummmmm you are at the airport. I've paid 11 dollars for the same meal here priced at 13.50. Extra 2.00 for egg whites. Everything was good! I recommend this place if you have time to stop, sit down and eat before your flight. Enjoy! read more

My friend and I both had the Tequila Lime Halibut Tacos and were both underwhelmed. It is listed as one of the "favorite dishes" on the menu, so perhaps our expectations were higher than they should have been. The best part of my tacos were the jalapeños. Otherwise, there wasn't much flavour overall. The worst part was that the meal cost me $16. I may be too frugal for my own good, but I hope for a tasty dish when I pay more than $10 on myself. On the plus side, the staff members are nice, there are a variety of sports on the tvs, and the meals fill your belly! read more

Overview: eat before you get to the airport this place is too expensive with small portions and basic food. We got to the airport way to early expecting it to be hectic because it was two days before Christmas. Little did we know you can't check in more then 4 hours before your flight. We were hungry and the only place to eat before security is this place. The prices here are outrageous, however that's to be expected at a restaurant in an airport. The cheapest thing on the menu (excluding the add one) is $12 for a bowl of fruit. The food tasted alright, but bland and not worth the price. The staff was friendly and helpful. They did not care that we had our luggage with us since we hadn't checked our bags yet. The lighting was a little dim, but not terrible. The Soda was $3.50. read more
