After looking for a nail salon while my sister-in-law and I are out of town, a local family member suggested luminous salon to us as she knew the owner after we visited a few that couldn't fit us in on a Friday. My full acrylic set was $65 and my sister-in-laws were shorter and $55. I had a really great experience, I'd say my best nail experience as I was super comfortable and my tech was absolutely fantastic and did so well at making sure I was getting the shape and color I wanted. So we've all been there before: too scared to have anything done again cosmetically after someone screws it up. So I've been there. A lot. I have a horrible habit of doing huge hair changes right before an important event. Because I'm dumb. And it always turns out like crap. For years I've been overpaying for services that I'm never satisfied with. In walks Gabby. With all her spunk and honesty. So she lays it out for me: my natural lashes are suffering badly from years of mistreatment and heavy extensions. And my haircut/color needs help. Gabby explains how we're going to get from A to B to save me. I'm on board - do it! So over time she's worked with me to get my lashes and hair healthy again. All for reasonable pricing. I needed to get a good haircut, and a friend recommended this brand new salon. I don't need a lot from a salon, I'm very easy-going, and I don't have that much hair to cut! They don't need to wash my hair, trim my beard, or cover me with that fancy powder! I like to get in, get my haircut, and get out! I called to ask about availability, and Stephanie, the owner, found a spot that worked perfectly for me - right after I got off work! This is a very nice salon, at least it will be when it's finished. The entire salon is being remodeled. The former owner had a lot of mirrors everywhere and the walls were all pink! The new salon is white, airy, and open. It is very comfortable to be in! Stephanie met me when I walked in the door, and let me look around a bit. She let me take some photos. Then she seated me, wrapped me up, and started clipping! I was very impressed with the new remodel! Top to bottom, everything is being re-done! New paint, new floors installed, even the outlets are being replaced! It seems there are about half a dozen gals taking care of the customers. Everyone seemed very professional. Stephanie was especially professional, and took good care of me. Like I said earlier, I don't need my hair washed, but she washed it anyway! I can't believe how handsome she made me look! Ladies and men alike, will feel welcome here. Nice atmosphere, nice products, nice salon, and nice people! You probably want to call first to make sure there's a space for you, though it is not required. Stephanie told me that soon there will be spa water to drink(I think it makes you feel pretty!), perhaps a small selection of beer and wine also. What more could one ask for? She's such a sweetheart and will make the 3 hours pass by quickly since she's so great at carrying the conversation. Always super welcoming staff when you walk in, plus the owner is super sweet. I don't usually leave reviews but I HAD to this time. I had a TERRIBLE cut and color done elsewhere that left me literally in tears. What should have been a balayage turned into my hair becoming orange and I was set to go on a trip in less than 24 hours. After calling everywhere in town to try and find someone who could help me, I finally stumbled upon Jessica at Luminous Salon. She knew I had a trip to go on and squeezed me in at the last second, working nothing less than absolute magic on what was a tragedy of a cut and color and I could not be happier. I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review! I LOVE this place! Gabby has been doing my hair, cut and color and also eyelash extensions since they opened. She is meticulous, creative, and just so darn nice! She has gone out of her way to fit me in when I've had to change my appointment. The salon is always CLEAN, the music is good ( not too loud) just right. The whole feeling of the place is welcoming and relaxing. Stephanie the owner is professional, friendly and really takes care of all of the customers. They offer you coffee, water, wine along with just the right amount of conversation. I LOVE Galy's way of fixing my hair! I've had extremely dry hair and terrible split ends in the past, but she's healed my hair and restored it so it looks healthy again. I don't trust anyone else with my hair after my first visit with her. I've had highlights and have had some bleaching and it looks beautiful, every time. I've received plenty of compliments. NO STAR OK, I want to share my terrible experience with Luminous Salon. I bought a groupon voucher for 'one Keratin Treatment session' for $175 after 50% which was $350. (attached picture) For all of you who have used the groupon, this means that you are buying a service for $350 value, but you are paying $175. Right? I had an appointment today and I took 5 hours off from my work. I have already talked with the Luminous staffs, they told me that the express keratin is about $150, and the smoothing keratin starts from $200. I told myself, wow, since I am buying a $350 value of service it should be a perfect smoothing treatment. When I arrived at the salon and showed my voucher to one of the staff. She told me that I must pay the $75 extra for the smoothing. I showed her the voucher and told her this voucher means I have already bought $350 of your service. Then she said, that voucher is only for the "EXPRESS" keratin. I asked her again, is your express keratin treatment $350? And she said "NO! it starts $150. And since you paid $175 you are eligible to use your Groupon for the EXPRESS"!!!!!!! WHAT?? PEOPLE! if you want to use a Groupon to trick the customers to get them in your salon, I am not the one!!! Groupon means you have a promotion to get more customer not to trick them. NOT to LIE to them!!!!! I don't mind paying $250 for my hair treatment. But, I rather pay that money to someone not lying to my face!!!!!!! Luminous salon, you are not going to attract customers with lying and tricking them. Be honest, and don't use the Groupon if you don't have a knowledge of how to apply it. I don't recommend this salon at all. They were not helpful. After talking to them nicely they just canceled my appointment and told me that they can't do anything to help!! They wasted my time and my money!!! Not professional! Update: After reading the Luminous comment: your reply doesn't make sense. let me explain with an example when you buy a voucher for a restaurant for a value of $20 and you pay $10, they don't ask you to pay $10 extra!!! However, you can order food for $20. When you are selling a service of $350 value in a Groupon voucher, it means you have to provide $350 service value to your customer. If you don't have control over the price that Groupon put on your service, you need to cancel your offer.! "practically" it is not an offer. read more

I have been going to Luminous Salon since they opened. Stephanie has fit me in with short notice and has stayed late to fit my schedule. The salon is clean, organized and uses great products. Long overdue review here, but let me say that Luminous Salon is a really awesome spot to get all the beauty services done. I get my hair done by Galy and she is amazing! She never cuts more than I tell her and when I have had her do my color she gets it EXACTLY like photos I show her! She is always personable, friendly, and professional. The visits are never dull or awkward with her and as an added bonus her scalp massages are thee best! The salon itself is very cute, inviting, and mellow, they are full service and all the stylists are friendly. I believe they use Unite hair products which are great and smell amazing, the prices are very reasonable and like most great salons they are busy so your best bet would be to make an appointment rather than walking in. These ladies have definitely outdone themselves with their salon, it's a great spot with great staff, they make sure the guests are happy before leaving and that's always a plus, it sure beats the cookie cutter places who seat you, cut your hair then take the next guest after 15-20 mins. I'd rather have an awesome service with a good consult making sure we are on the same page before anything gets done to my hair! Galy has been my hair girl and I'll keep it that way. So I've been going to Natalie for almost two years now where she was originally stationed at a different salon, in February she relocated to Luminous Salon with Stephanie and the atmosphere change was just awesome! All the stylists and technicians seem so much happier here. I went here when it first was opened amidst renovations and now that it's complete the salon looks so modern and chic. But besides the salon Natalie is a super awesome hair stylist, I saw some of her hair styles on Facebook through mutual friends and was able to set up an appointment with her, she's always super welcoming and is amazing at what she does. When I first started going to her I had a super long mane with grey hairs and since then, she's cut off 12 inches and gave me an amazing hair style! We've also recently started playing with colors and I'm so happy with how my hair looks every time. She's done blonde, purple/red, and recently red/blue.
