Brittany is MY girl! She does a beautiful job with my nails: manicure and pedicure. I get gel and she is a real pro with it. Also, she's friendly, funny and very helpful with colors and styles that she's able to create. I have been completely satisfied with the service she provides and am also enjoying getting to know her as the lovely young woman she is. I originally found this salon on Yelp and contacted them because they were the only place I could find that stayed open past 7PM on weeknights. I'm so happy that I did. Lupe, the very friendly and helpful owner, set up gel pedicures for myself and a friend for that Saturday (this was Tuesday). I loved Brittany's work so much, I've been coming back to her ever since. read more

Luminous Nail Studio - Gel Mani - Nail Technicians Near Me - Lancaster, California

This turned into a bit of a long review, but here goes: So! I wanted my nails done because I'm getting married in three days (yay!) This was a super last-minute wedding, so I hadn't had a lot of time to get everything planned, but I had spent the whole week trying to find a salon or nail tech who could do a full acrylic set. I called/texted 8!!!! different locations, and either got no response or the answer that techs were booked at *least* a week out. I live in Cal City, and was trying to get a hold of anyone! I tried Tehachapi, Palmdale, Lancaster. No one was available for the weekend. I was resigned to accept that my awful, nail bitten stubs were going to be my featured look for wedding pics. Anyway, I saw Luminous on yelp and not knowing anything about them, gave them a call to see if there was any chance. I apparently sounded pretty dejected and honestly was close to crying by the time I called, but I told the receptionist my story of woe and how I was getting married. I was just so desperate to find a nail salon for an acrylic set. :( She was like "omg!! We will find a way to get you in!" and called me back within minutes for an appointment an hour later! OMG yaaas :D So, I drive the 45 min and show up and I'm immediately welcomed! Like, holy moly it was so friendly there! The nail tech was right on time and I told her I didn't know if I wanted to have red nails or black nails (I have a non-traditional wedding dress), and she's like "I have just the thing!" and explained that she had color-changing powder. I am a super novice when it comes to nails as I almost never have them done, but it sounded cool so I was like "sure!" I'm accustomed to mostly staying silent and maybe offering a bit of small talk, but omg these girls were amazing! Everyone wanted to hear my story about my engagement and we talked about my son and it was seriously like I was hanging out with a bunch of bffs. I told them that I am not doing any of the standard-issue pre-wedding stuff like a bridal shower or bachelorette party, etc. and the owner was like "well hey! This can be your bridal shower!" and I was like "omg!" it totally felt like a shower--like I was hanging with a bunch of friends--it was so cool. So after she said that, the owner (Lupe) disappeared for a moment and came back with a cupcake for me to celebrate! And as an *additional* wedding present, she comped me a pedi, which I'd never even had done before! My toes look so fancy now, my toddler son wouldn't stop poking at them, lol! :) Luminous turned my stressful attempt to hide my gross nails into a seriously magical afternoon! Like, I'm beyond stunned at their kindness. It's a new business that only opened in March, but for real the owner is super sweet! And all the other techs (and customers) felt like close friends by the end of my appointment. And finally, my nails! Holy crap I'm so excited!! They change colors just like she said! They can be red, black or both red and black!!! HOW IS THIS A THING omg I love it so much. My nail tech's name is Mady and she was super gentle and didn't over-file my nails or irritate my nail beds any more than they already were irritated (I don't have the nicest nails underneath) and it was so nice. I'm used to having my nails hurt the next day after getting a nail set, but my nails feel just fine! And I love that I can't bite them, lol! Ok, for serious. Hands down this was the best nail salon experience I've ever had! I know the comps were for my situation and not standard procedure, but the interest and care they took with me will never be forgotten! I don't normally have fancy nails except for special occasions, but I think I'm going to keep up with these just so I can hang out with them again. :) Oddly enough, I'm thankful that all of the nail places recommended to me were unavailable. I never would have found this gem of a salon! Thank you so much, Luminous!!! read more

Esmerelda was absolutely amazing. It was my first time coming here, and I needed my toxic af acrylics removed. She was so incredibly professional and helpful, educated me on so many things. I cannot wait until my nails are healthy and I can go back and have her do a nice manicure. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming, it was a great vibe. I don't like post bad reviews but the first the tech kept changing my appointment time then I get there and tells me to wait in my car, then if I'm going to pay a pretty good price I expect a good job well it hasn't even been a week and my gel x is lifting I paid 80 dollars and this happens never ever again going back read more

2/23/20 after reading the mangers message: I understand the salon itself " might" be great I'm sure she "might "be too. Her time management skills are horrible though and her texting me asking me if I wrote a review of her is very unprofessional then she changed my appointments again because she's upset that I wrote a review that's not good customer service . (She changed my initial Appointment from 1230 to 12 which I agreed for her to Accommodate her schedule ) but unfortunately I arrived only 10 minutes late : I asked her to return the deposit and she said no. No REFUND GIVEN . She has no guidelines what so ever regarding deposits. I'm not sure why she told you otherwise . The fact that she kept the money isn't the point she can keep that. Her unprofessionalism Is what I'm shocked by. I do not appreciate her text messages . This is a honest review read more

These pics are the morning after my appointment. I selected this place because of it's reviews, I'm giving it two stars because they were nice and the place was clean and welcoming. But the quality of work was prob the worst I have ever had. I was there for 3.5hrs, it was crazy lost half of my day. The girl that did my mani and pedi had claws on life 1.5inch nails on and you can tell she was struggling. The tools kept falling, she was hurting my hands gripping them, she lost control of her machine it ripped through her glove and it caught my finger. She was nice but just very poor quality work for $90. On top of that she only used her tools, never soaked my hands to soften my cuticles, didn't file my nails and didn't trim my cuticles. Wort manicure I have ever had read more

I Just had the worst experience of my life. Nail Tech Amy is so unprofessional. Which is sad because in general I think she's good at what she does. But the unprofessionalism of it all was too much to take! She has rescheduled my appointments more times than I could count. I tried to accommodate her in her overbooking but the disrespect "IS REAL!" Today I texted her to confirm our appoint. She confirmed and I proceeded on. Takes me 30 min to get there, so in that time frame she texts me back stating NOW she cannot do it at 12pm and can I come back at 2:30 or 4Pm. I show up at the door, they tell me she will be right with me, please wait in the car and she will text me After 30 min I thought that's a little excessive. I reached out to her, and she tells me "I texted you I can't keep our appointment". Even though I have a text confirming that we are still on, one hour before our appointment. I don't text and drive, so her follow up text was unseen. But the disrespect of it all! She pretty much told me I can go to someone else. No respect for my time at all. I guess I was just supposed to sit in the car from 12pm to 2:30pm. She even screenshot the text to me as if that justifies her flaking on me again! I try to tip well to show my appreciation and always be on time. I guess my money is no good here and I will take it elsewhere! If you want professionalism Don't go to AMY! I'm sorry I haven't written a review sooner! I have been going to Luminous Nail Studio for over a year now. Jen is my nail tech and I will never go anywhere else as long as I am living within driving distance. The studio is always clean and comfortable and has an open floor plan. The nail techs are always hospitable asking if you want coffee or water to drink. Everyone is always friendly and smiling. Jen is amazing. She is always accommodating to my needs and of course her own. She is wonderful. She has always understood if I need to reschedule my appointment due to emergencies or last minute work needs. She is so talented. I always get so many compliments on my nails. I send her some outrageous requests that I see on Instagram, and she always blows it out of the water! I have attached some of my favorite nails I have had done by her. She never says "no" to a design, color, shape, accent, what-have-you, she takes on the challenge. You are doing yourself a disservice for not going to Luminous Nail Studio. read more

I'm new to the Antelope Valley and was looking for a new nail salon. Based on the reviews I thought I would give this place a try. First impression wasn't good because they keep the door locked and have to let you in plus the place wasn't all that clean. I was in a bind so went with it. Brittany was my tech for a pedicure and gel manicure. The pedicure chair was up on a high platform and they bring in a tub of soapy water for your feet to soak in (like something you would wash dishes in) SO WEIRD! The gel on two of my nails started peeling by the next day. I contacted Brittany and was told she couldn't fix them until the following Wednesday which didn't make me happy because I had an event to go to the day after I had my nails done. I said I would accept her opening on Wednesday but she never confirmed so I had them fixed at another salon. I will never go back to this place! If I could give ZERO stars I would. Don't waste your money! read more

I have never seen a nail salon go so far and way beyond to make every single client feel special. The girls are all very talented and so welcoming. The salon is SUPER clean, and yet so comfortable and inviting. The owner, Lupe, is the most appreciative business owner I've ever met- as in, she asks every person how they heard of the salon and she personally thanks them for their business. The other nail techs are the same way- so friendly and sweet and funny. Isabelle does an AMAZING job and will not disappoint. read more

Beautiful studio! I have been here before but about 4 years ago to get a pedicure. I said to myself I should probably get my nails done here as well because I loved the experience of the pedicure! I had some like 'ptsd' if you will, about nail drills. I have been cut by them before and just hate the feeling. Then the pandemic hit. So now it's been like 3 years since I've had my nails done because of fear and then the pandemic. I thought why not give it another try, it's been some time. I see Shannon's work and loved it. I messaged her and set up an appointment. First of all, easiest communicator ever. She responded same day with the date I needed! Second, she did not hurt me whatsoever. She uses like the best drill or something and has the best technique idk but it was amazing! Third she NAILED the design I wanted! No upselling which I love. She is a very chill person. Thank you Shannon I love my nails! read more

I received a new acrylic set with gel painted tips by Maribel. My nails began chipping the next day and have continuities chipped since getting them done. My nail tech is amazing, and the other girls that work here are nice. Especially, Amy, Marisol, Alyssa and Esme. However, the owner is very rude. I've been going here for years and you can tell the vibes are always off when she's around. She also doesn't make sure clients are comfortable with temperature - she refused to put AC on in the summer and doesn't put heater on in winter. She said "if you're cold, buy your own heater." It is also very awkward when she discusses their payments and business in front of us clients, plus I've seen her ignore or get sassy with some of the nail techs. It's just very weird when she's there... which is unfortunate because she owns the place. read more
