    Salted Oreo Crepe Cake
    Elaine W.

Stopped by and ordered a salted oreo cake for myself and a durian cake for my parents. The flavor of the cream was alright but I wasn't a fan of the cake texture as it felt very frozen/hard and brittle. There is a price discrepancy but I'd still stick with Lady M for crepe cakes. Service was also really slow despite the place being pretty much empty -- it seemed like there was only one person working there on a Saturday which could be pretty rough.

Decided to try this cake place in San Mateo, but it was a little on the disappointing side. Cute interior, but the cakes are a bit over priced and have too much cream. Might be better for someone who prefers much sweeter cakes

Cute dessert shop in Downtown San Mateo. I ordered the durian crepe cake- I really enjoyed it. The flavors were on point and not too sweet. There is a kiosk to order so pretty minimal service. Overall, would be back if I was in the area!!

Small little dessert shop in downtown San Mateo. There was only one person working, and the lady was very sweet. The crepe cakes were very tasty, not too sweet, and the flavors were pretty on point. Would definitely come back again to try the other flavors.

It's the first time I try a cake that made from crêpe. I actually forgot to take a picture of the one I ate because it was so tasty and I finish it very quick. I ordered passionfruit cake .

Had to stop by this location to try their cake. Per sister in law, their cakes are so good. We ordered: matcha slice, tiramisu slice and black sesame slice. I know their slice of cake is not cheap. It's a bit expensive per slice $13. But Omg. It was worth trying. Of all the 3 slices, my favorite was the black sesame slice. I don't know how to explain it, but it was just like eating black sesame dessert. It even smelled like black sesame. Would I come back. Yes. We even ordered 2 cakes. One with half matcha and tiramisu, and one whole black sesame for a birthday dinner.

Strawberry Millie Crepe Cake Slice $14

Lil' Wayne dedicated his songs to a milli(E) a milli(E) cakes. I was so excited to try this place out but I was slightly disappointed .:: Cake ::. Strawberry Millie Crepe $14: it LOOKED very good, the colors were very pink, and it seemed very yummy. However, the slice we got was half frozen. Millie crepes cakes are layers of smooth silky cream sandwiched between thin layers of crepe. My slice was not enjoyable as it was frozen in between. We ate these in store. .:: Service / Ambiance / Parking ::. Self order at kiosks. Cakes arrived shortly after. The place was cute and minimal. About 4-5 tables inside. Parking was easy as with most of San Mateo. Street parking or garage available.

Great service and cute, minimal interior! Salted egg yolk and pork sung was really unique. I would want a little more pork sung sprinkled on top! However eating this, I couldn't tell the cake had layers, thus giving this review 4 stars. The lady at the counter was really nice! She gave my toddler extra strawberry and cream since he wasn't really touching the pork sung slice. So sweet. Will definitely be back to try the black sesame and matcha!

I was excited to try this place out since I love mille crepes. Ad we enter, the interior is spacious and clean. They have a self order kiosk which is really handy. One thing to note that I didn't see others mentioning is that there is an additional fee/service charge when using the self order kiosk. I had ordered the black sesame cake and the durian cake. The cakes do come frozen and it took more than a hour to thaw out. The black sesame was really good and the flavors were strong and nutty. The only con was that it was still frozen in the middle after waiting an hour and the cake layers were really thick and hard compared to other mille crepe cakes that I had before. I was really excited to try the durian and forgot to snap a picture, but I had high hopes after trying the sesame. I love durian but their durian cake lacked flavor. There was minimal durian smell and taste so if you are a durian fan I would pass on this. For the price point of $15-18, I would expect higher quality cakes but it just doesn't meet that. I would maybe give them another try and get a different flavor, but the quality and fees make it hard to justify revisiting.

Passion Fruit. The sourness from the passion fruit blends brilliantly with the soft sweetness from the cream. 9.2/10

Let me start by saying this: HATERS NEED TO STOP COMPARING THIS TO LADY M. I swear you guys be trying too hard to kill a hard working entrepreneur. The decor of the place is very clean and welcoming. Good for small groups or a quick get together. I've had three crepes here--the Oreo, strawberry, and passion fruit. All of them were perfectly balanced--not too sweet and not overly creamy. The owner genuinely cares about her business: I asked her if she had a Tiktok or an IG for her shop and she said not yet. Reason? She wants to properly grow the business without compromising the quality of the product she puts out. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Nice to see a mille crepe cake spot other than Lady M, and Anton SV Patisserie. Cakes are a bit frozen so you have to let them thaw out for a bit before getting into them. Pretty nice place that gives a bit of Lady M vibe with the clean white look. The cakes after you thaw them out I think are pretty good. The black sesame was really good if you like black sesame. Strawberry had a nice layer in the middle with chucks of strawberries. Matcha is similar Lady M's. Durian one def has the durian flavor, with is a love or hate with most people. Would def like more of it in the cake. The passion fruit one was okay, I think it was just their original with a layer of passion fruit jelly. I say it's comparable with other mille crepe cake, pricing is a bit more but you don't have to drive as far.

This is a beautiful, little dessert shop. There are a few tables right by the window so you can people watch as you enjoy your dessert. I don't believe the items offered here are suited for everyone's tastes, but I believe everyone should try it at least once. The matcha mille crepe cake was delicate and not too sweet. A nice cup of tea would have been perfect to pair. The service was quick and friendly.

We tried their black sesame crepe cake and it was just ok. Not too sweet but overall it had an interesting texture to the crepes that I can't really describe. On the scale of best crepe cake I've ever had to not good I would say it's about average as well as including the price. It's a small cafe where you can enjoy in store but no bathrooms available. Not bad but not amazing.

When I expressed this to the manager. The manager refused to even give me a decent discount on this gigantic mistake. Her options were you get a 10% discount ($ 4.00) Don't take the cake at all. (Ridiculous option considering I ordered it the night before for a morning pick up for an afternoon party.) Or come back at 3 for a replacement. Make it make sense, cake cutting is at 1pm. Hence the early pick up time. So understandably i'm angry. Mostly because the actual manager could care less and only offered up a nonsense discount or go home with nothing. Customer care clearly doesn't matter here. I only wanted a reasonable discount for this huge mistake and she absolutely refused. I hope the owners are reading this. This is my go to location for all special occasions and this manager is doing a great job of not taking care your loyal customers. Safeway is up the street with 20 dollar cakes and they get the order right. Her employee who could not follow directions is also at fault here but she seemed well insulated by the manager. I was treated like I was the problem even though the mistake was theirs. My advice to you the customer. Any custom cake you order there make sure to take the slip where the order is being jotted down and double and triple check it yourself that it is correct. Because when your special occasion cake says happy birthday instead of happy anniversary pucker up. Because the manager will just tell you tough S**t.

She was definitely a drive from San Jose to San Mateo but well worth it. When you pull up to her house, it may be difficult to find parking as other customers are picking up-- I ended up waiting for 1 person to pull out of her driveway so that I could park. The street is pretty packed with cars. Can I first say what a pleasure she is in person? Claire is super sweet and she's the reason I love supporting small business. We ordered the Mocha Crunch cake. Current prices are $50 for an 8". It's cash only so be prepared. The cake itself is on the light side (not as light as Asian cakes but I wouldn't call it dense either). Unlike some other reviewers that found it dry-- I highly disagree as it was not the most moist cake I've ever tried-- But it wasn't dry either. It was right in between and good enough for us. The Mocha flavor was lightly infused in the frosting and filling. It wasn't super overpowering but it was definitely there. The crunch topping was perfect and so unique. The only other place I've tried a crunch topping is in a latte from Kamurocho in Pleasanton. They have a "Honeycomb Latte" that is amazing. We served half the cake at one gathering and we ended up bringing the leftovers to another gathering. The cake was devoured. We had a party with 10 people and we couldn't finish the cake! The crunch was really good and special, the cake itself doesn't really present the mocha flavor, as a result, after a few bites, the cake became too sweet. We were all hoping the bitterness from the mocha coffee flavor can balance out the crunch but we were disappointed. Interestingly, we then moved onto eating a chocolate cake from Marvel Cake and the chocolate was able to balance out the sweetness and cleansed our pallet a bit. We all felt that a cup of coffee would be perfect with this cake. The cake inside could also be a bit more moist. So all in all, the crunch got the thumbs up but the overall cake not so much.

I'm also not a huge frosting person, and I believe the cream was buttercream, which was probably the biggest downside for me. I do wish there were more fruit in the filling. It was mainly cream and a few berries. We sliced the cake on Saturday, and by Monday the exposed part of the cake from where it was cut had become pretty dry. I ended up cutting off the dry outer layer, but thankfully the inside was still moist, so I was able to enjoy the rest of the cake. Ordering through Square was easy. I ordered the 4-inch cake with a marble design, matcha cake, strawberry cream, and strawberries. One thing to note is that if you order the 4-inch cake, there wasn't a section to add custom text. You'll need to email or call them with your order number to let them know what you want written on the cake. Overall, the highlight of the cake was definitely the cake itself. The moisture and strong matcha flavor really stood out and were my favorite parts. If I were to order from this bakery again, I'd probably try a different filling and cream because the buttercream just wasn't for me, but that's more of a personal preference.
