Our group was debating if the ice cream was made in the store or not. Our party was pleased with the flavors we purchased; and their small size (larger than the kids' size) was plenty for dessert. Having all skipped on any toppings, with no visible pricing structure, it was a pleasant surprise to find it was around $11 for a party of five (when we were expecting it to be quite a bit more expensive). We would definitely be willing to return to sample more of the flavors. I tried the coconut pineapple. It was exactly that, also being very light and creamy; though I will say I was surprised at the lack of traditional / "safe" / plain ice cream types. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I STEP FOOT ONTO THIS PLACE!! THE OWNER IS SO RUDE! I didn't even go on for myself. I deliver for one of the food delivery places in town and I went on to pick up a customer order. Their was 3 things in this order and I had to wait for it which was fine I'm use to it BUT when she finally gave me the order after waiting on it for 15 mins everything was wrong. She handed me 6 items none of which were in my order. I informed her none of my order was right and I could begin to see her getting mad. She got all flustered and started blaming another girl (who wasnt even there so I dont know if she was even being honest) for taking down the order wrong then said she would remake it but it was going to take time. When I told her that was fine but I was going to have to get on the phone with my service and inform them of what was going on because now she was going to make me late for my set delivery time she lost her mind and started shoving her phone in my face insisting she just got the order right before I walked in the door. I looked at the time she got the order and it was literally at the exact time I got sent the order. Which by now was going on over 20 mins.When I proved her wrong she got even more mad at me and began stomping around the kitchen. As I waited for my order I looked around and this place is not very nice. It has a very uncomfortable feel. The ice cream is not home made so its just something you can go buy at the store. And the food is just reheated frozen food. I watched as they reached into the freezer for the food to put on the grill. So I finally got my order the lady cooking the food shoved the boxes at me and told me my order was ready. And when I asked for a bag to put them in so I didnt have to hand my customer a bunch of loose boxes she rolled her eyes at me and shoved the boxes in the clearly used plastic bag. This place is basic at best. I'd go anywhere else in town before I ever spent a cent at this knock off ice cream parlor. Work on your customer service and come up with some non frozen original recipes lady! read more

Ewwww! Went here for the first time. No one greeted us, whatever. Sat down to a dirty table, ok... Took my daughter to the only bathroom and was immediately disgusted. The bathroom looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The toilet was beyond disgusting! I'd rather use a gas station bathroom! Went back to sit down and figured that if their bathroom was that nasty, I could only imagine what their kitchen would be like. I didn't want to risk anyone getting sick, so we bounced! I rather spend more money than having to deal with E.coli! Yuck! read more

So I've got some family in Turlock and all they have been talking about is this Lulu's.. So one night in town we stop by and my hubby has the peanut butter pie and I have my childhood favorite bubblegum ice cream. My husband is IN LOVE with this pie! He actually let me try a bite which I will admit it is super delish! I had my ice cream and it was super yummy.. But it did make me miss Ice Cream Company in Modesto they had gumballs in their bubblegum ice cream. Lulu's has blue bites of bubblegum. Owell. It will do, can't wait to come back and try there pizza sticks that my sister said was super delish! read more

Love this little joint! Perfect sweet tooth craving the child's size scoop only $1!!! Only thing I would say is because they are located within walking distance of "school row" they get a lot of traffic around after school times and it's a smaller shop. Stopped in on a road trip based on Yelp reviews. The burger with carmelized balsamic onions and blue cheese had a flavor that rivaled much more expensive burgers we have had on this trip. Employees were pleasant and helpful - offering to cut the burger and plate it separately when we said we were splitting one. Hubby had a terrific root beer float and I had a shake made with approximately named Death by Chocolate ice cream. The shake came with the silver container with the extra. My only complaint is that the seating (chairs) isn't very comfortable. Next time we'll hope for a booth. read more

Stopped over at Lulu's after a trip to the Turlock Movie theater. Went in for ice cream. I ordered a 2 scoop hot fudge sundae. It was huge, and good. I love the fact that they have a "serve yourself" ice cold water cooler for you to wash down that ice cream goodness. No unsanitary drinking fountain like the ice cream chains. Friendly service at this local eatery. I will be back for a burger someday, and likely, ice cream. read more

LuLus is a fun and friendly ice cream shop. Always clean and ice cream is alwys yummy. Fun staff and work with near by elementary school for kids to win a cold treat as a prize for student of the month and various other achievements.
