    Side of onion rings

Took my girls here after cheerleading and gymnastics. We ordered the patty melt, onion rings, kids grilled cheese, a smores sundae and two kids waffle cones. The patty melt was much smaller than expected for $12, but the flavor was decent. Nothing comes with sides for that price and you have to order them separately. The onion rings were your run of the mill onion rings. The but was not worth the $10. One someone normal slice of tomato on one half and a super tiny slice on the other. The bacon was hard and small and looked like precooked microwavable bacon. Wouldn't have ordered if I know that. The kids grilled cheese was just a slice of american cheese on white bread thar was hardly melted. My husband chose the smores sundae because he was craving hot fudge, but it looked like maybe a small squirt of chocolate sauce instead and he actually had to add hot fudge himself at home. The girls cones were both good with rainbow sherbet and cotton candy.

    "Double scoop"

The location is Lulu's best attribute. The service is decent. The facility isn't the cleanest and the smell inside isn't very pleasant. I would consider myself a bit of an ice cream connoisseur, and this ice cream is bottom shelf (think dreyer's or thrifty). The price however is top shelf. Today was $14 for a double scoop and a shake. The scoops are definitely the smallest portions compared to other ice cream shops. The spoons are the cheapest money can buy. Overall, not impressive at all.

So the review is not about the food. I rather enjoy their food. My review is about the facility itself. Seats are torn and worn out, table is broke. The place was dirty. Now one would say the place was busy but there was only two other customers in the place. No reason for this place to be dirty. We had to clean our own table. You would think the employee would step up and say they would clean the table but they didn't even bother to help. Who is running this business? This place is dilapidated. Not good for business.

This is a decent ice cream parlor. I try to stop in when with my kids in this part of Turlock.

Bernard was our server and he did an excellent job at helping us during our time. The bartender made our drinks perfectly, and the food was beyond expectation! We are from the city neighboring so we have never made it here, but we came for our 10 year anniversary and were so glad we decided to check it out. Myself and my partner have worked in restaurants for a couple decades and I will say the food, drinks and service were all so good. We were so impressed by the entire experience and it's been a while since the food, drinks and service have measured up! Thanks Bernard and staff!

We decided to get out of town for a date night and ended up at Roth Social. After reading some Yelp…read morereviews mentioning unfriendly or inattentive staff, I have to disagree. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away and promptly seated (I had a reservation, but honestly didn't need one around 8:30pm--there were several tables open). For drinks, I ordered the 1915 Elder Fashioned ($20) and my wife had the Peaches and Dreams ($20). Both cocktails were perfectly crafted and absolutely delicious. We started with the Argentine empanadas served with bone marrow and chimichurri--two good-sized empanadas for $24. Great flavor and a solid way to kick things off. For my entrée, I ordered the hanger steak cooked medium--it came out perfect. It was served with Roth Fries, which might honestly be the best garlic fries I've had in a long time. Fresh garlic, Parmesan, parsley... just done right. The steak was topped with chimichurri and came with two dipping sauces--everything worked. My wife ordered the Kung Pao Street Noodles with grilled prawns ($36), and she loved it. Overall, great atmosphere, friendly staff, and a standout experience. Our waitress, Janet, was amazing--super attentive and helpful. Whenever I asked about dishes I saw coming out, she was more than happy to explain them. We'll definitely be back.

I have been to this place twice. First time, I ordered the "Take Em to the Station" Burger…read more Surprisingly, the burger was quite good. I would order that burger again. Even though the restaurant wasn't busy, the service was VERY slow. Luckily I was not in a rush. After my first experience and a few weeks later, I decided to go here for a steak dinner. I figured service would be slow, but I didn't care. I wanted good food. The burger was good the last time I was here, so I figured the steak couldn't be bad. WRONG. Ordered the Prime ribeye ($36). The ribeye quality was poor. If i had to guess, it was not prime but was more like a low quality choice steak. It was chewy. There was a big chunk of fat and it felt grisly. Honestly - if I had to guess what cut of steak it was, I would have said it was a "choice cut of chuck." (Note: I am not accusing them that it was a chuck steak, but felt like I was eating a chuck steak.) Then for dessert, I ordered the creme brulee cheese cake to go. I rarely order dessert, but I love both creme brulee and cheese cake. Back in my hotel, I opened up the desert and was disappointed. It was basically a cheese cake there they had a THICK hard caramelized sugar on top. I guess it was the caramelized sugar that mad them call it creme brulee. You couldn't eat the sugar because it was HARD. Disappointed in the dessert. I would go back there for the same burger. However, I don't think I would ever order anything else from this place. If I had to rate this restaurant, I would have given it a 4 on my first visit but a 1 on my second visit.
