This is my absolute favorite lululemon store in the entire world! Every time I come in I feel so welcomed. Every staff member is kind, listens, is super manageable about the products and always steer me in the right direction! Whether it be in-store shopping, dealing with an online return, or getting something hemmed, the kindness and incredible customer services are consistent across the board. The manager is a blast to chat with and always has the best insight! (I wish I could recall her name in the moment! She got me hooked on the Wundermost Nulu Longsleeve!) There are at least three lululemon stores in my area, and I would choose the downtown Portland store all day, everyday! read more

I came here last night to exchange a pair of leggings that were starting to give out and I was blown away by the service. Everyone was so helpful, happy to exchange my pants and even gave me helpful recommendations about which style to get instead. I got the HR I still tights this time and they are comfortable, movable and very flattering! It was hard to pick out a new pair because all of the pants and styles seemed fantastic. The pants here are the most comfortable ever! I only had to pay the different for the new pair and I didn't feel pressured to upgrade if I didn't want too. Staff was very VERY helpful and friendly! If Lululemon thinks I am dumb enough to spend $200 on a pair of leggings ,they are absolutely and without a doubt 100% correct . I have long tried to stay away from cliches but this place just does it for me .. love love love the fits, color choices and comfort. When they say the leggings are buttery , I can completely agree with the choice of those words . This store is small compared to a few others in the city but for me its convenient and closest . It's a little jam packed with items but still well organized . I also think they don't have an exhaustive collection like the one in the Washington square mall and sometimes don't have a good inventory for sizes either . Came here with my girlfriend and we both had relatively new pants (a month and a half or two) that the threading was becoming undone or the material was wearing. The employee that helped us out was amazing and she helped replace both of them. She said that "you made a $128 investment when you bought the pants and so we'll take care of you" I really liked that. She said if there was anything wrong with these new ones to not hesitate in coming back and that gave us even more peace of mind. Visit 2, after waiting as the only person in line for 15m for a changing room I had to leave for another appt. Will just go to Bridgeport for their changing room and hemming. read more

TLDR two employees were nice but not the most helpful, one employee was rude and definitely not helpful, and they overall need to work on customer service and doing their work correctly- go somewhere else if you do not want poor service. I rarely write bad reviews for places but I really needed to write something for my poor experience at this store yesterday to warn others not to waste their time. I just found out that healthcare workers were being offered 25% off for the last year and half and that's about to change so I came to this store out of convenience. First, I came in to buy a yoga mat and some shorts. They did not have the shorts I wanted in my size so a male employee said he could order it for me which I appreciated. I asked about yoga mats, and he pointed me to a girl who told me that the reversible and arise mats would be the exact same with feel, grip, use etc. I am giving the store two stars because of her patience and kindness in helping me choose a mat. At one point the guy came over and asked "you're still looking at mats??" and started to offer unhelpful suggestions. I did not like how he seemed to be pressuring me and judging me for spending time to make sure I was buying the right (super duper expensive mat). However when I went to check out, a different girl helped me out. She was very nice and friendly but did not do a good job at checkout. She rang me out for the mat first with the discount after I showed her proof that I am a healthcare worker, then she had to order the shorts on her handheld. I literally brought her the shorts so she would order the correct ones (she even asked low rise or high rise and I specified low rise.) She asked for my information, then my card. After she rang me out, I asked her what the price was and I was surprised she forgot the discount given the fact she had just applied the discount to the mat. The male employee said I could cancel the order online (which I find out now is untrue). Also, whenever you ring someone out and they cannot see the price on your handheld device, you should tell them the price before you scan their card! I decided to just order it again with the discount, and let them know that I am in a hurry because my parking meter is nearly up. The guy says "well then why don't you just extend the parking session?" I told him I already had extended it once since this transaction took so long and I also had somewhere to be after this. Again, I did not appreciate his unhelpful comments. During my wait for her to ring me out a second time, I check online and see that unlike what the first girl told me, the arise mat does not seem to match up to the reversible mat at all based on the reviews, so I have to exchange the mats which is another inconvenience but I would do this at another store because it would take way too long here. Finally the girl gets the second order done and I walk out just in time when my meter expires. I check my email later to find out she ordered high rise instead of low rise for both orders, even though we had gone over it twice and I brought the shorts over to her to make sure the correct ones would be ordered. So now I have two incorrect orders, one without a discount, one with the discount, but both for the wrong pairs of shorts. I will be going to another store to place a third *correct* order, and now I have to wait for the packages to arrive so I can return over $200 worth of merchandise that I did not mean to buy. Excuse my long rant, but this store really just wasted my time and added unnecessary charges to my card since I am not keeping anything that I bought at this store. If you want a regular retail experience with better trained employees, I would recommend you go to another store. read more

I really love matching sets. I had tried to order online and had not found items that fit well and matched each other. I came in and Mallory helped me so much. She helped me find sets I could buy together that would fit me well, and when they didn't have something in store that I wanted to try, she'd bring me something similar to try on and then add the actual item to my online cart. Came here to go on a shopping spree with the wife. As a person of color, I was followed around the store the whole time. Employees would not leave me alone. There was a moment where I was standing in the middle of the store, holding a pair of shorts, and looking at more, when a female employee walked up to me and asked "are you going to buy that?" I promptly grabbed my wife and left the store without buying anything. Frankly, they were also out of a lot of inventory and didn't even have a lot of sizes I wanted. And I'm a large with a 32 waist. I don't mind if I go into a store and no one comes to me to ask if I need help. Lululemon usually goes above and beyond. Bought a couple of skirts that ended up being too big and I needed to exchange them. Before showing up I showed up I contacted the company and informed them that they had been worn and that I just really wasn't happy with them. The man I chatted with was so helpful and told me to take them in and they should exchange them no problem. So when I arrive they told me it is "store policy" that they can't take back worn clothes. SO, 1. Why did the lulu rep tell me you did? 2. Why have I been able to do it at other lululemon locations? All in all they pretty much told me to kick rocks. Just had the most wonderful experience at this store, thanks to Sidney, one of the managers here. Had a problem with some defective underwear, that were made of mesh (avoid mesh undies). Brought them in an expected to be told nothing they could do, but Sidney provided exceptional customer service. Swapped out for new non mesh. One happy customer! read more

I honestly don't know why I went to the NW Couch location, may be it was for convenience, but not for their customer service. I had several items that I ordered and bought from a different location, and needed to exchange or return them. There were 2 ladies that formally greeted me, but their tone of voice and body language shifted as soon as they started talking to other customer. Which they were a lot friendlier towards them. It's a very small store, and it was the first hour of opening, so surely the store can get busy pretty quickly, but their customer service was not equal. On the 2nd encounter with one, the lady working the fitting room and/or leggings section backed away and put her hands up when I turned to look at the leggings in the direction where she was talking to other customers. At some point, I was looking at some of the hoodies folded on the table near the leggings, checking for available sizes, then got up and went through my bad to look for a hair tie. During the middle of my search the same 'hands up' lady, walked quickly straight up to me and said "whoa whoa what's going on?!" as if she was trying to sneak a peek in my bag and scare me off. She did startled me. I responded to her that "I was looking for a hair tie." Apparently, she was "trying to help". *Hands up again* I just walked away from her. But yep, she most definitely thought I was a shoplifter. Well the entire staff during that time may have likely thought I was one as well, but the lady was something else. I would have appreciated a different approach or you know, actually wanting to help me find what I was looking for based on the items I had already purchased and needed to exchange or return. The only person who I thought was the nicest was the person helping me order a hoodie a size down, since that location didn't have that particular hoodie. Otherwise, I will not return that location again, even if it's the most convenient location near my home. When I fell for Lululemon last month, I fell hard! Like sad bank account hard! HAHAH! Lucky for me, there are two Lulus in the Greater Portland metro area and I have hit them up several times. As for the Pearl District store, it's great! Parking can be a hassle (which is to be expected visiting the Pearl District), but I have been lucky enough to snag a parking space for the price of .40 per 15 minutes! You may be able to park in Whole Foods for free if you get it validated. Anyhoo ... the store is your standard Lulu store. It's a bit smaller than Bridgeport, so navigating on the weekends will allow you to practice your agility. The selection is par for the course; however, I did find some awesome tops and sports bra on markdown. Located throughout the store you may find some sales merchandise located with the full-price stuff ... so look for that purple tag and remember it's yours for keeps (no returns/exchanges!) The employees are very friendly and helpful! I have heard some people say that are intimidated by Lulu employees in other locations, but I must say, I find the Pearl District employees to be approachable and genuine. read more

I love gear, particularly sports gear, specifically well-designed and stylin' gear made of soft fabric that have all the right technical specifications, therefore I really love Lululemon Athletica. This place is a hidden gem that I'd walked by a few times but never noticed. They carry everything from high-impact sports bras, to bathing suits, to sweats, to sports tanks & shorts, and the largest and best selection of the cutest damn yoga pants I've ever seen. All the styling is simple yet highly functional and the fabrics are soft & wicking. I really love their stuff. Employees were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (the perfect triumvirate). Prices are higher than I like to pay - but they are on par for what I would expect to pay for goods of the same quality. Best of all, they have the yoga mats I've been unable to find anywhere else in Portland: 100% biodegradable and extra-thick! read more

I'm Canadian so I of course love this store! I've been to the one in Whistler, Santa Monica, Kitsilano, and Calgary. I think the girls that work at the one in Portland have the best sense of humour! Not like the snotty yogis in other places. I just bought some underwear there, if you're small and tiny like me the underwear wont fit!!! They are way too big and keep falling off. Theres a cute pomeranian that will greet you at the door! I love the clothes and probably own the most lululemons of anyone here in portland. There sizes are kind of weird so dont think what you normally wear will be the same size at lululemon, but that's ok.. the clothes will make your ass look great any day of the week! read more

I had a fantastic visit here! I almost didn't go because I read the preview reviews of terrible customer service, but I was craving some lulu and I much rather go in a store and try stuff than order online and have to return. As soon as I walked in 3 staff greeted me right away and were SUPER friendly and helpful. One of the guys was from New Zealand was very sweet. I took my time shopping through all of the stuff and tried a few things on no problem. The only thing I didn't like about the store in particular compared to what I'm used to is all the sell items on one rack. They were scattered throughout the store so it was a bit harder to find and I didn't like that they were mixed in with stuff that was not on sale. I love love love lululemon and I shop online for it all the time, but this was the first time I stepped into any of their stores. I was not impressed. No one tried to help me or tell me about any current sales. Walked around for about ten minutes and no one even attempted to helped us. I had to ask a fellow customer to help me find what I wanted. I got a dressing room, got undressed and one of the workers banged on the door asking for my name and what I had brought in. I shot my clothes back on so quickly because I thought she was going to open the door on me. Hands down lululemon has the best workout gear. I couldn't run without there amazing running crops, sports bras, and thumb holed tops. Love em'! So far I haven't run across a sales associate who isn't anything less than a workout junky who knows their stuff and always seems to be training for the next race. I think it's way cool that each shop offers free yoga sessions and access to weekly group runs. Seems like the company is really following there mission statement. Came here to take advantage of the duty free shopping in Oregon - the staff were friendly and patient as my family tried on a million items and even had the staff try on some jackets for size. High quality yoga clothes for both men and women. They offer free yoga to customers. Also, there's a big section for local businesses to put there fliers, brochures, cards, etc. in case you don't have a yoga place or want to try something new. There's other yoga varieties, too. They have information on sweatshops, where most clothes are made, a reminder that it is not in the yogi spirit to buy yoga clothes that someone made in extremely poor working conditions. The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic. They are very helpful without being overbearing with sales, allowing you to peruse the store yourself. They have several varieties of pants for yoga, dance and lounging. They are super comfortable, putting Lucy to shame. Same goes with the tank tops, jackets, yoga mats, bras and other goodies. They are definitely on the pricey side but are really nice quality that holds up in the wash. They also have shorts and skirts for hot yoga and running, depending on the season. read more

I love lululemon. So much so, that I am the Mayor of this place on Foursquare. I can't help myself. I have a thing for clothes that make me look thinner then I am, and make cellulite disappear. I also love the thought of workout tops with bra cups. Especially since I now workout at the Pearl 24 Hr,,,I need all the help I can get. Everyone is always really friendly here. They definitely want to help you find the right item and its just inspiring to be in here. Lulu is worth every penny. I workout 7 days a week, and beat up my workout clothes. Lululemon clothes inspire you to work out and live a little bit healthier. Isn't it sad that I need clothes to do that? Yes it's ridiculously expensive, but man do the pants make you look great. I've been trying to avoid coming here because of the damage I know will happen to my wallet, but I finally bit the bullet and gave it a try recently. Picked up a few items including a sports bra that is so comfortable I've been trying to wear it as much as possible every day. Poor customer service! The employees working on Sunday around 3:30ish made the entire shopping experience uncomfortable. Especially the gal in the white Lululemon workout pants. She kept circling me and not once asked me if I needed help. Felt like she was sizing me up. I finally had to ask for help from one of the other floor associates. Again not overly helpful. Yes, I'm from Vancouver but came to Portland to buy Lulu... it's so wrong, but with tax free shopping and our dollar above par again, it was silly to replenish my running clothes back home. That being said, this isn't one of my favorite Lululemons. It's quite small and the selection isn't great... seriously, all the cool racerback colors I liked only had size 2 or size 10 and up. And the shorts... there were no size 2's to be found! Ugh. Customer service is less intrusive than most Lululemons - yay... must easier to shop in peace. I can see it being a problem if you don't know the products already though. Needless to say, I didn't come out of the store with as much as I was expecting, but I still plan on coming by the next time I'm in town to restock and hope the size selection is better next time. read more
