Hiking Boots
Jenelle B.

Needed work boots immediately but also something I can use for outdoors/hiking. Friend recommended Danner and I'm glad he did. Of course I did my reviews on the shoes I wanted to try prior to coming to the store. Tried them in the different colors they had available and everything went smoothly. They have a tester ramp kind of thing with different types of flooring to walk/climb on which is always a good thing to have. I ended up buying a pair and happy to know it comes with a 1 year warranty. Something you would think a shoe so expensive would have. I'll be coming back to get my boyfriend some boots.

Just managed to stop myself at the $200 mark no pun intended. For the last 7 years this is my boot brand of choice. Danner 600 mountain have been my everyday wear for 7 years. They are the forever boot and covered by our local Portlandia factory for life. I have never had but one issue in all my 7 boot pairs not to mention all my USA made socks and boots Danner produces. So the PUN is I delt with an awesome employee named Mark. I had never bought from a Danner store as lockdown Covid1984 block our freedom of movements for you tell me the martial law plan 2.0 I learned history of the boot saw examples from the 1960s and enjoyed buying tea shirts socks and cups as I am a fan boy of all thing American Worker. Let's go America! Wake up smell the Coffee and support what you love and enjoy your life however you want while freedom is available. Mark was also cool enough to throw in this cool Motorcycle Eric Banna Motor Cycle bandana besides his great conversations.

Because I had purchased two pairs of shoes from them recently, I had ~$20 in dividends to spend. So when I was near this downtown location, I stopped in to see what I could get. While of course this is a way to get you back into the store to spend money, there was no pressure of what to buy. Staff was super helpful in pointing me to items that would be fully under the dividend amount and therefore totally free. For the amount I had, this was primarily socks or sunglasses. I happily walked out with a new pair of shades! This is a nice perk and just another reason to support your local running store.

Morgan "Run-Shoe-Pro" gave me the lowdown on run, walk and train options. He was really easy-going, friendly and quite knowledgeable about every shoe on the shelf. Impressive! I came to try Topo Magnifly 5 with 0 mm drop. I walk 5 miles daily around Portland on concrete so I want a shoe that's easy on old creaky senior knee joints. Through the years I've worn Altra (also available here) the past decade. Topo and Altra have similar wide toe boxes. Topo fits a little bit snugger in the heel, which I like. I bought the Topo. Walked around the store with 1 Altra and 1 Topo on for comparison. Altra or Topo, either way, healthy feet are vital to your mobility and fitness. Do you want a natural shape to fit the foot better and provide the best posture for running, walking or hiking? What I think - do you Go By Foot around PDX? Yup ya say! Well, gonna be lots of peeps foot traffic around Stumptown. Do you want cool comfy looking street shoes? That support your walking mobility? Then - Go By Foot Traffic - go buy good shoes for your happy feet! 60 day exchange and return policy even if you've worn 'em.

This location is incredibly convenient, with everything I need within walking distance. The prices are reasonable, and it's not as large as the Nike company store. One of the things I appreciate most about this store is that it carries some items that I can't find at other locations. Overall, I find it a decent place to shop for Nike gear. The store wasn't overwhelming due to the sheer volume of products, and the customer service was exceptional. The store wasn't overly crowded, which made it a pleasant shopping experience. In addition to Nike gear, the store also has a good selection of running shoes. However, I did notice that a lot of the shirts I purchased ran two times smaller than what I'm used to. For instance, I usually purchase a medium, but a medium felt like an extra large, so I would have to go with a small, and even that felt a little large. So, be mindful of that when visiting this location. I think this is a pretty good Nike location. I haven't had the opportunity to compare it with other Nike stores in Portland, other than Beaverton, but I was satisfied with my purchases and the overall experience at this store.

The prices are in the high side, especially for Portland, but a cashmere cardigan for $400 is the going rate. The boutique is bright, clean and has an industrial vibe. It's easy to browse through the racks of clothing which line the parameter on racks in a color coordinated fashion. The cashmere dresses are scrumptious! Beautiful in color, texture and style; refined elegance, classic, timeless. Even cashmere loungewear, perfect for staying comfy and warm during these long days spent at home. Kayla, the young woman working that day, was super helpful and pleasant. She easily engages in conversation and provides assistance, if that is your mode of shopping. And also gives one the freedom to browse at their leisure with no pressure to purchase, which is my preference. We visited on MLK Day and were there specifically to see what Oliveve handbags were available since I had recently come across this brand while shopping at the House of Lolo in Palm Desert. Kayla immediately recognized my Jasper bag! The Oliveve bags have a modern design, clean lines, and my bag is made of neutral colored pebbled leather. It's the perfect bag to use while shopping as it is a cross body style yet as large as a tote and holds a lot. That day there was only one Olivevebag available, a black handbag with tan wrapped handles, and my friend immediately claimed it! I'll have to go online (Oliveve.com) to buy my next one, the black oiled Italian leather Eva bag, which I've had my eye on for a few months. In addition to the clothing, they have a small selection of unique jewelry and other accessories like boots, tassels to add to your handbags, hats, belts and scarves. Even a small but unique selection of home decor items like textured throws, pillows, candles, woven baskets and trays, perfume and vases.p to adorn your home. Located on NW 11th in The Pearl District, it's around the corner from the main shopping area so unless you know it's there, you may not stumble upon it. It's worth seeking out if you want to add quality clothing to your wardrobe that you can wear season after season. And while you are there, definitely check out the jewelry, boots and the Oliveve handbags!

There really is not that much to choose from as the theme here is obviously minimalist. The few things they do have are lovely and for me, priced completely unreasonably. Like I am going to spend almost $1000 on a wool trench coat with some leather trim? Sure, it's a sharp looking coat. But good God, I know we are in the Pearl but is anyone going to spend that much? Maybe I am just not hip with the times and people really do spend that kind of money on a random coat, if so, I beg your pardon. It would be cool if your shop had goods that "normal" people like me, I know I am throwing the term normal around quite loosely but folks probably get my gist. My budget for a really nice and very unique coat is more like $500.00 Unless you are selling Versace or something, consider rethinking your price points.
