If you like high end clothing/outdoor gear, this is your spot. Great selection amongst the boutique shots on NW 23rd.

You won't show up wearing the same outfit as someone else. What I especially liked are the many options made with natural fibers, the only thing I can wear comfortably. Right now they have lots of linen clothing, getting ready for spring and summer. In addition to the dresses, tops, pants, jackets and sweaters, they have a small but wonderful collection of shoes, hair accessories, scarves, belts and purses. They have curated fun and funky jewelry from local artists and elsewhere that would totally transform a simple black dress into a standout outfit. Customer service is genuinely friendly and attentive. Depending on your needs, they will stay with you, collect items they think will appeal to you, and offer candid feedback. Definitely a personal shopping experience if that's what you choose. They also give you privacy to browse, roam, try on things on totally on your own, if that is your preferred shopping style. Located on SW Capital Hwy in Multnomah Village, Switch Shoes and Clothing is a worthy destination! While there, enjoy the other charming stores nestled on this street interspersed amongst restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops. A lovely way to spend the afternoon!

I practically buy every gift for my mother here and usually spoil her because the display outfits are gorgeous. Well, at least my whole lifetime(+), and that's a while at this point ;). My relationship with Paloma, has changed from a shop where I looked at pretty things, as a little girl with my grandmother - to a staple. Paloma is my go-to place when I am seeking something special and unique for the loved ones in my life. Paloma never lets me down with their expansive collections of accessories, bags, locally made jewelry, and high quality US made clothing lines, such as: Cut Loose and Tianello. Being rather petite, the clothing at Paloma is not always available in my size. However, the pieces I have bought for myself, are some of my favorites. On the other hand, the jewelry is where I really go a bit overboard for myself. I can't resist the exceptional selection of handmade rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings. At first glance you may think Paloma to be a stuffy boutique, but the shop gals are ever so helpful, and friendly. I had worried bringing my kids into the shop would be frowned upon. This is not the case. I've discovered I am welcome to bring the kids in with me. Paloma even has a basket full of toys to keep the little ones busy. In my case, this means I make it into the shop much more frequently than I did before. One last thing: Paloma is an active supporter of community it serves. They support us, and I love to support them by continuing to shop local in their store. 2017 #5

I will never understand how places like this stay in business. I wouldn't normally post a negative…read morereview of a small business based on a negative personal interaction, but it so happens that my opinion of the store wasn't otherwise very good, so here I am. This place aims to sell you only "upscale brands" but in reality, it's just the items that correspond to the owner's personal style. The selection is very poor. Shopping for kids' things was particularly frustrating as there was barely one or two items in each size. Thus so I can't understand how they're so picky/snobby with what consignment to accept when their shelves are so bare. As a consignor, the policy at Katelyn's Closet is that you drop off clothing and the next day you are supposed to return for your rejects or those things will be donated. There's no way of telling whether or not your things are accepted until you show back up with the store the next day. (This is a terrible policy). I've been buying and selling at consignment for YEARS and none of my items were taken for sale. And my unselected things were SO SO quickly donated, frankly it makes me suspicious that they were donated at all. Maybe they're being sold online.

I guess she was startled because she backed out of her store blindly with a clothing rack in tow, directly into us. Literally, we were behind her, not approaching her. So quite literally, she backed into us. Clearly not an excuse to cuss people out in front of their 20 month old. Someone that works in retail should have better people and human decency skills. All you need to know about this store can be summed up by the following: This store has taken it upon themselves to obstruct the sidewalk with an illegal, un-permitted "no cycling" sign. The path in front of this store is designated by the City as a multi-use path (see attached pic). So the path in front of this store is not a cycle-free zone, and you know that these are the kind of people that believe what they think is the law and it's their right to enforce their version of the law against the the free rights of everyone else. Not impressed with Mia and her boutique and her illegal war against bicycles on the multi-use path in front of her store.
