I wasn't going to leave without spending 150 bucks on a new pair and decided on a baby blue suede with large silver buckles option. Once I got back to California, I realized that the sales person neglected to tell me my foot required the standard foot bed (which shoes I purchased were definitely not). There are two types of foot beds in the Birkenstock brand, one for wider feet (standard) and one for slim feet. I didn't think that Birkenstocks made uncomfortable shoes, but discovered that wasn't the case once I wore my new pair for the day. My feet were KILLING me because they were too skinny for my feet. I got blisters too so, talk about AGGRO! I was really bummed because it's not like I could drive back to Portland to return or exchange them for a pair that fit properly. The only bonus to purchasing at this store was the obvious, no tax. Other than that I'm pretty pissed that I got such an uncomfortable pair of shoes. They were fine when I tried them on around the store, but, wearing them for an entire day was a different story. The sales people should be required to tell customers what their two options are before customers drop their dough on a new pair of shoes. Giant Grrrr.

There is a tiny parking lot for store customers only, if you have anything larger than compact you might not be able to fit. We were greeted right away and my daughter was able to quickly find what she was looking for and we were helped by Morgan who helped us with hints to break into the boots faster. My daughter is now doing to work in her new boots with no worries about slipping and also being fashionable.

Now the pants are failing and I sent them in for repair or replacement, they said they couldn't fix them, the product has a "limited warranty", and they would offer me $89 to compensate me for a product that cost me over $350. It seems Arc'Teryx is trying to amend that original guarantee and is now not living up to the promise or standing by its products anymore. Must have happened when the Chinese bought them in 2019. I am extremely disappointed to find out the original guarantee I was given was not worth the paper it was written on. I even quizzed the salesperson with different scenarios of this product being damaged and/or failing, to all of it they responded, "we would replace it". The only reason I bought this overly priced garment was the lifetime guarantee, which apparently meant nothing. They are simply being untruthful and not standing by their product. I'll never buy Arc'teryx again. Here in Portland Oregon we have lots to choose from, including Columbia Sportwear Mountain Hardware brand rain gear which might be a far better choice for the quality minded outdoors enthusiast.

I called the store, and the person I spoke with said my email had been entered incorrectly (a letter and number was swapped) and that I should receive my receipt by the end of the day. What concerns me is that no one ever asked me for my email address during checkout or asked me to verify it, despite signing me up for a membership with an automatic renewal. I assumed there wouldn't be an issue because I had already entered my email myself for the foot scan, but somehow my email was still entered incorrectly on their end. I've never had an emailed receipt take that long from any other retailer, and their website still says I don't have a membership. I'll check again tomorrow, and if these issues still aren't resolved, I'll contact my bank to block any future recurring charges. The whole experience just felt strange.
