Bought my first lululemon pants here at Irvine spectrum! Yes it's expensive, and I would never had stepped into the store without a gift card from my dear friend... Seriously, purchasing a pair of stretchy pants made out of synthetic material for $90 is not a really logical thing to do. But now that I have a gift card... Well at least with a steep price, it comes with very helpful and friendly service. Every staff in this store was friendly and helpful. I was trying on different styles of yoga pants and two different sizes so it was a lot of pants in the dressing room, but the attendant was very patient and also offered good advice about the fit. I eventually settled with the Wunder pants in denim color. Their pants are thicker than normal (that's what they advertise about no see through) and it takes some time to get used to, but now I love it because they keep you warm when there's a draft yet are comfortable at the same time! They also provide free alterations as most of them full length pants are quite long for the average height. You can take your lululemon pants anytime after your purchase for an alteration. As much as I love lululemon products and their quality, I have got to say their customer service is by far one of the worst out there. I don't know if working for a respected high-end brand adds some entitlement in their attitude but I have never received any good customer service at this location especially - and it has been consistent throughout the years as my family and I are loyal customers to lululemon. In contrary, the Costa Mesa location is much friendlier with better customer service in general. I hate to throw the race card but it has been consistently evident that in my experience and observation they tend to be indifferent to foreign decent and friendlier to Caucasian customers. Prior to even getting help, I had to wait as this older Caucasian employee refused to stop talking to the employee trying to help me out, having complete disregard of my presence, prioritizing their conversation. I had made an exchange for a gift that had not fit and was given $74 store credit no problem, with a jacket worth $84. Little did I realize that they had only accepted the untaxed price ($69) and had charged me for $89 worth. When I went back to ask them to fix the mismatch in the transaction, we talked to a different employee (the same one who did not acknowledge me in the beginning) who was unapologetic, condescending and unwilling to listen. When asking if the $5 from the initial $74 credit was put into the tax since we only got $69, she felt the need to point out an unnecessary point that we were not even suppose to be allowed to exchange the gift because it was final sale and that the previous employee was actually "doing us a favor"... when all we were asking her was simple math and some clarification on what happened and the fact that new item was charged more than what was labeled. Although she did fix the overcharge, at the end of the day the problem was not about the money but the principle on how this small issue was handled simply because an employee refused to listen and had made a prejudgement of the intentions of a customer. I needed some new workout gear, and really loved the last pair of lululemon pants I bought, so when I was at Irvine Spectrum I decided to come into this store. LuLu's pants are really comfortable, and keep their shape even after a long period of use with many washings. Best of all, they really flatter my figure :-) Other brands I've bought aren't anywhere near as flattering, and don't hold up as well; I bought another pair of yoga paints today, and a hoodie for good measure! The sales people here are friendly and helpful. LuLu offers free hemming, but their pants fit me perfectly without alteration :-) Yes, lululemon is expense, but you get what you pay for. read more

Stopped by here on a Wednesday afternoon to make an exchange. The store was pretty empty as expected. The store is located near Nordstrom in the walkway (Right when you're facing Nordstrom). TLDR: This is seriously the WORST Lululemon location in the OC. Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles to either Fashion Island or South Coast and visit a Lulu that cares about their customers. Honestly, if you are going to spend THIS kind of money on workout clothes, you deserve to be treated like a human. I wanted to share a most horrific experience at the Irvine Spectrum Ctr. location today. While I typically shop at the Americana location in Glendale, my wife and I were in Irvine for the week and decided to stop by, both to purchase new items and to get 3 things repaired. Upon entering the store, we had to follow around this asian employee for maybe 5 minutes before she even acknowledged our presence and begrudgingly put down the things she was hanging. We showed her the damaged pieces - a power Y tank with the elastic worn out and two Pace Breaker shorts with the old style lining that had worn through again. She proceeded to tell us that she could neither repair nor replace the articles because they were too old - stating that "the guarantee was on wear and tear and not time." While I disagreed citing the quality promise (https://info.lululemon.com/help/our-products/quality-promise) "Product quality is the foundation we stand on and this foundation is comprised of three key areas: fabric, performance and craftsmanship. If our product doesn't perform for you, we'll take it back.", I also stated that this damage was due to wear and tear (we use these products 5+ times a week as we are both marathon runners and OTF gym members) despite also being in the older style. Additionally, I pointed out that clearly my shorts had been repaired in the recent past, so it felt like this was the only location whose quality promise "expired" at a certain, undefined date. The discussion got to a breaking point when she kept repeating "if I take this back, what would I tell my manager and headquarters" like an idiot boomerang so my wife and I left the store without any further purchases. Bottomline, the asian girl worker maybe 5'4" average body size is the worst. If you see her run... but don't wear out your high priced gym outfit as she will NOT repair or replace it. read more

On this occasion, I ordered the items I was interested in online and later picked up at the store located at the Irvine Spectrum. No issues and efficient if they have the items in stock. The second time, I decided to go in the store versus buying online. I was glad I did. I found a pair of leggings that were on sale and picked up a few more items. The entire time I was shopping no one approached me for assistance which is fine but what if I was looking for something? i also couldn't distinguish who was the employee or the customer? The store is nicely organized and very clean. The staffs are so helpful and so friendly. I got a pair of pant from a friend as a gift but it doesn't fit, I didn't have a gift receipt. I live chat and messenger Lululemon customer service asking if I can make an exchange in stores , they both gave me an unsure answer, telling me it depends on the stores by different cases. I've been to this store a couple of times already and everyone has always been so attentive, helpful, and friendly. Brittany (store's key leader) is someone I would like to take time to praise and brag about because she is an exceptional worker and I cannot thank her enough for the level of care, professionalism, and prompt response time she had provided to me. I bought a backpack from this store, they forgot to remove the security tag when checking out, so I had to spend hours getting back there just to show my receipt and have them remove the tag a few days later. Mickyla, who called herself store manager responded arrogantly and didn't even bother to apologize for their mistake and wasting my time... a respected company like Lululemon should protect their brand and reputation better than this. read more

I had to go in for an exchange twice, the first time was because the girl grabbed the wrong pair. The second time was due to damage after one day of wearing. I understand the delicacy of the material of the align pant, but one day use of something you are paying 100+ for should not decrease quality. All I did was go to school and sit. I have three other pairs that are fine. Reason for 1 star: I felt disrespected both times at this location specifically. The first exchange I ended up not doing it and traveling all the way to Brea for a simple exchange, and they did everything they could to get me the pair I wanted. I loved them. As for second pair, the first girl who helped me was really nice and explained to me how delicate the material was and I understood because I have other pairs, but It really got ruined the day after purchase. Once I got to the cash register, this other worker was helping her through the exchange. She asked why I wanted another pair after the other girl explained to me why the pants get ruined easily, one thing she said was " she explained to you why the pants did that?" I said yes and her reply was "and you still wanted another pair" (with her eyes squinted and head tilted). It was just weird and rude how she spoke to me. After avoiding the store for a long time, I thought Id be openminded and go again so I don't have to go to Brea. I just really enjoy lulu clothes, but hate going to the nearest location due to how I get treated. I guess it is expected in Irvine.. The store isn't bad in terms of size and merchandise. Their employees however are not very welcoming. Walked into the store and made eye contact with several girls in yoga clothing but no greeting. They turned around and continued to talk to each other. I figured perhaps they were just customers but turned out they actually worked there. So no greeting and not once did anyone offered to help me. They finally acknowledged my existence when I had items in my hands and asked me for my name so they can start a room. Lululemon should look into hiring friendlier employees. read more

I shopped in here a few months back and asked if I could apply the healthcare workers discount to my purchases (about $600) . The manager said she couldn't because dentists weren't considered frontline workers like MD and nurses...I replied that I am on the front lines and that not every MD or nurse is working directly with covid 19 patients, but I happen to be in a very high risk profession in this regard. So after having been insulted (she proceeded to tell me that I would have to call corporate to see if dentist is even on that list!) I left the clothes on the table. She smirked when I responded that she should think about how this is insulting to my profession. Anyway, the corporate said it is at the discretion of the store to determine who is eligible ?? Why is it up to the store if this is a Lululemon policy. I appreciate the extension of a discount to the hospital workers but this "list" must be very specific and not discriminatory.! read more

Went in and got some new workout clothes because I had a gift card. Was greeted when we walked in and everyone was friendly. Super annoyed at the color/pattern selection in the women's leggings. You know it's bad when even the employee herself admits they don't have a lot of exciting colors. Regardless of the lack of colors I still walked out with $300 worth of clothes. And the reason why this store only gets 3 stars is because when I checked out, it was bad. She was yanking and pulling the sensors when trying to take them off. I was afraid of holes in my clothes she was pulling so hard. And she tried to shove all of my clothes in a small bag!! I had to ask her for a larger bag so that way my clothes wouldn't be shoved in a tiny bag. I can understand if I had only bought 1 item, but I bought multiple items, that obviously don't fit in a small bag if you are having to shove them in. I love Lululemon clothing itself but I can not say the same about a staff worker at this location. She was wearing a "Friends cafe" fast mask and was an older lady white lady who was working the women's leggings section by giving customers their size and type of legging. She was extremely harsh and rude to my sister who was her first time there she. My sister wanted black 25' align leggings and simply forgot to say the size and the lady said what size in a very rude tone and later on she said " you should could've just said that". She was extremely rude. She was judging my size and looked me up and down. I don't know what her problem was maybe it is bc I'm Mexican but I did nothing disrespectful to her neither my sister. I really like Lululemon's clothing. Everything at their store is to die for. But you know what I don't like? Their employees. They are disrespectful, judgemental, and very unfriendly. Today I came in to exchange two tank tops for a smaller size. The store was empty and there were three girls working. I walked in and all three girls didn't bother to greet me, even though we had made direct eye contact. I was kind of annoyed. Right now you might be thinking that I am just a sensitive drama queen, but its polite to greet to your customers, in case you had no idea! However! it's NOT polite to just ignore them and leave them hanging, ya know? Moments later, I walked up to the cash register after finding the right sizes for my tops and told her that I was exchanging the shirts. Clearly jumping to conclusions, she said to me, "Well you need the receipt to return or exchange," in a fairly rude tone, like I was some uncultured swine that didn't know that a receipt was required to return an item. I was thrown off by what she had said, but since I am a politeful person, I ignored her remark. Finally, she completed the transaction and handed me the Lululemon bag. Without saying,"Have a nice day" or "Thank you!" She shoved the receipt in my bag and walked away. Goodness gracious. To be oh so honest with you, the employees at Fashion Island are so much more welcoming. They even offer you drinks and snacks when you walk in, while the employees at the Irvine Spectrum can't even greet you with a simple, "Hello, welcome to Lululemon!" Or a "What brings you here today?" Or EVEN A SMILE FOR GOD'S SAKE. I was obviously quite annoyed with her outrageous behavior. Maybe she was just having a bad day, maybe she wasn't. I really hope management reads this. Came here today around 1 o'clock and the store was pretty empty...just a couple of customers in the store. No one greeted me or asked me if I needed help. I was basically ignored. I was looking for the street to studio pant. I own 4 of these pants so I'm always looking for new colors. I noticed there was a size 6 in the color Magnum over at the sales rack but that's not my size. I didn't see any other colors any where else. Maybe I over looked it but it would have been nice if someone helped me. I usually buy these pants online but after the last time I bought a pair online they someone managed to change the sizing on the elastic band so now I prefer to buy them at the stores so I can try it on. I have a lot of lululemon items, and one of my leggings not even a year old started coming undone at the seems. When I went to get it repaired the lady helping me basically told me I needed to invest in more pairs and that I do too many squats in these cause they shouldn't get worn out like that. She has no idea how many pairs I do have, I was wearing my newest pair when I was in the store. She then proceeded to tell me that I clearly was wearing the wrong size and that I should go some sizes up and maybe I had gained weight since I bought these. I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say. I had to process the encounter before I realized what happened. She also tried to argue with me about what kind of pants they were. The customer service is horrible. I wanted to buy some more things there and in my online cart I had over $600 of stuff I was gonna try on and pick up but I was so upset I left. If lululemon says on their site they can repair anything, no matter what idk why she was being such a b* the pants itself weren't even that old to have the rip along with the fact that I was going based off the website. I hate being greeted when walking in, so I b-lined to the yoga pants area and after looking for myself for a minute and had an idea on what I wanted to get, I got asked if I need any help. I got unbiased advice after being asked a few questions about my girlfriend and as I said "this is the one", I got told there's guy stuff too. Went here to purchase some leggings for my 10 year old daughter. As I was checking out, the Asian clerk was the worst customer service person EVER in retail. I asked her if they offered discounts for military and first responders, she said yes we do. I showed her the appropriate ID needed to meet their criteria. She then asked me, are these items for you? I looked at her and said yes, I'm purchasing these items. She then said, these are not for men, these are for women, so your discount doesn't apply! I then told her they are for my little girl who was standing next to me. She said, "sorry it doesn't apply, but thank you for your service"...In a very sarcastic tone as she rolled her eyes. I was offended, but I didn't make a scene. I left the items at the counter and declined the purchase and walked out. There are other appropriate responses to this type of treatment that I will explore. I failed to mention that I am an African American male. Don't know if that played into it, but you never know, but I do know that the person who she serviced that was in front of me, was treated way nicer than she treated me....just saying. I will never shop there again, and I will be sending a disapproval letter to their corporate office to document her lack of professionalism. This occurred on 11-09-20 at approx 6pm. Loveeeee lulu!!! And I love this location! People are always really friendly and helpful. They give great suggestions on what types of clothes and material would work for the workouts that you do. Also, I love shopping alone but I need opinions. People that work here are not shy to tell you what looks good on you and what doesn't. I love that! The store is always clean and well kept. Items here are expensive so be prepared to spend a lot if you plan on buying things! They do have a sales rack but I never find anything there cus the sizes are always huge! I have come in here a few times and it has always been a mostly good experience. The workers greet you in the front as you walk in. I first came here to bring in some Run Inspire Crops that needed to be fixed. They lady took my pants, but wasn't very pleasant while helping me. The good part about this trip was being helped by a worker named Claudia. She helped me try on different styles of crops and shorts that I haven't purchased yet and gave me her opinion about what sizes and styles looked best on me. The entire time Claudia was happily helping me, the first worker who had taken in my pants (didn't catch her name) was constantly glaring at me and giving me dirty looks... When I came in to pick up the pants, the logo had not been fixed because of a stocking issue with the company that helps fix pieces. That was no problem, but the worker who had helped me told me someone should have called me earlier in the day to explain the situation. I did not receive a call regarding the logo.. I was a bit upset when I was told there is no way to fix it on my own and that I would have to just deal with it. The fixed stitching in the crotch area came out very good though. read more

I've visited many Lululemon stores in SoCal. So far, this is the worst one. Visited the store an hour before they closed, but wasn't able to get in because according to their employees, the waitlist closed. I was informed that I could wait if I want. I took a chance. Within an hour of waiting there with other 2 customers, I saw only less than 10 people from the waitlist showing up and many left the store, looking quite empty. The host still refused to let us in and kept saying at least 7 parties were waiting at the time. I understand it's Lululemon's new policy to keep all guests safe, but it doesn't mean the company has to turn down customers who are willing to pay extra for their clothes and more importantly, Lululemon brand. Also, extremely upset with the host's attitude on Sat. Don't waste your time shopping here! read more

Worst customer service out of all the lululemon stores I've been to. Was told I could not exchange a brand new pair of leggings because the item was "too old" of a style and had a "smell to them". It was a brand new pair of leggings that still had the tag on them! Hard to believe the worker could pick up such a foul smell underneath her mask. Maybe the smell came from the leggings sitting in their provided bag for 4 months because I couldn't exchange them during quarantine. Very condescending and unprofessional.
