As a player we received a generous coupon to go to one of the LIVE restaurants. We chose Luk Fu as we'd never been and we no longer have good Asian food in our area. The casino and restaurant were crowded but we only had to wait 10 minutes. I think the restaurant was short staffed and we did have to wait a bit for a waitress and water. The food was excellent!! I had the chicken and eggplant which was incredibly moist and tender. I also ordered an incredibly crispy and tasty egg roll. Hubby had Hamachi Sashimi and a shrimp and noodle dish all of which were terrific. We also had a delicious seaweed salad! Portions were very large and we've had 2 meals out of the leftovers! If you are not 21 & up. I am so sorry that you are missing out. This spot is located in the center of (Maryland) Live Casino and it's super tasty. My favorite thing is the Pad Thai. I get there Shrimp Pad Thai w/ no veggies. Now when I first tried this spot a few years back. The price was $19 w/ a lot of noodles, but now it's $24 and less noodles - which was very disappointing. The staff here are super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Singapore rice noodles and my date ordered the chicken fried rice. It was absolutely delicious with the right amount of spices. It was a little too much peppers and onions added to it but overall I enjoyed the meal. My meal was brought out to the table within 10 mins of ordering. I'd rate this place 4 stars for the food itself but 3 stars for prices and service for those prices. We ordered takeout around 2:45 AM, 2 pork fried rices to go, $20 each, which is a lot even for a casino, especially this casino which is attached to a mall. They told us 20 minutes and it took 45 minutes. Once we got the food it was really good, and a nice sized portion, but couldn't go any higher on the rating because of how chaotic it was over there with all the orders and plenty of people complaining at how long they were waiting. They could have just said it would be 45 minutes and I'd have understood but when you go away for 20 minutes and then come back and have to stand there waiting for another 25 it sucks. read more

We were hungry and wanted a bite to eat so stopped here. It was ok. I was a bit disturbed because there were two other tables that came in after us and the waiter took their orders first. When we finally got a chance to order, we got general Tso chicken, beef and broccoli and Singapore noodles. When the food finally came out, it was the general Tso chicken only. About 5 minutes later, she brings the Singapore noodles. Then 10 minutes later, she brings the beef and broccoli. By the food coming out the way it did, you'd think it would be hot....NOT. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but the service wasn't great. They were not even crowed. We were there on a Sunday evening. The food was okay. Nothing to rave about. I think I've had better Chinese food from the DC carryout on the corner. Not being mean, I'm giving my honest review. I wasn't impressed at all. After writing my review, I went to read some of the other reviews. Seems like most are complaining about customer service which is huge. I know businesses have taken a hit due to COVID. Service is everything and I wasn't impressed with it. The food was nothing to write home about either. I have never had a spider roll that fell apart before you even got it off the plate. It was tasteless and they had lettuce in it. I pray it wasn't Romaine Lettuce with this recall. I played it safe and removed it but it had touch my other food. The Dim Sum was okay. I've had better at a restaurant in Silver Spring off of Colesville Road. The server wasn't attentive and easily distracted by other tables. I found it offensive when I ordered soy paper instead of seaweed, and she quickly told me "extra Two Dollar" ! That seems to be an Asian thing because it happens at Nail Shops too. However, I don't mind paying extra for something I order that is outside of the set menu. My next bad encounter happened when the server failed to give me my bill in a timely manner because she was so busy cutting my service short to get to someone else. When she finally brought my bill she had the nerve to ask for my identification!!! When I questioned her and told her no other patrons were asked for their ID, she got an attitude. I requested the manager and she stood by the server by justifying the reason why I needed to show my ID. However I watch other Asian patrons pay with a credit card but they weren't asked to show their ID. Since there seemed to be a huge language barrier between me and the manager and server, I just gave them my ID. However, I will never return to this restaurant. My friend and I got seated immediately. Our server had a really bad attitude and he was not friendly to us at all. We ordered the xiao long bao (soup dumplings), seafood pan-fried noodle, and the banh mi. The banh mi was stale!! I asked the server if they could perhaps fix the banh mi and toast it to help make the bread taste better--he said no. Seriously? I had to argue with him insisting he have it toasted or re-done. I've had this banh mi plenty of times here and have always liked it--this one was terrible. He eventually took it away (with attitude) and later brought out a new one--it was much better. I arrived and placed a take out order a little after midnight (close to closing) I paid for a bowl of pho which was priced at $30 .... the staff were rude after I placed my order and when I made it to the casino bar to eat the food ... my pho noodles were RAW! The service is really friendly and fast and the drinks are incredible. I had a leechee cocktail with champagne...I wish I could remember what it was called but one drink turned into two drinks really fast haha. The hot and sour soup was delightful, jam-packed with mushrooms. I also had the pork and watercress dumplings which were so big I couldn't finish them. I've been here twice to eat, but I've walked by several times whenever we go to the casino. The first time I came a few years ago, I ordered the shrimp chow ho fun. This is one of my favorite dishes ever and I personally don't think it's hard to mess up. From what I remember, this place is extremely overpriced for what you get. Tonight reaffirmed that notion. I decided to give it another chance tonight, I ordered the beef chow ho fun and my boyfriend ordered the wonton soup and the table got a bulgogi. The beef chow ho fun again was not very good, it was edible, but extremely lacked flavor. The bulgogi was not very good, looked extremely burnt/dark and they said the kimchi tasted old. I did not try it, so I cannot attest to that. I did try my boyfriends wonton soup and it was really good after adding chili oil! If I return, this will probably be the only thing I get. The only reason I gave this place two rather than three stars is because the service we received was absolutely awful. Our waitress was fine in the beginning, then began to rush us towards the end of our meal. After setting the bill down, she walked to another table, came back almost instantly and just starred at us for the check. When we were finally ready a few minutes later, they began clearing the plates rapidly and she again stood there until the tip was presented. It just was very uncomfortable and I did not appreciate being rushed in that way. I understand you're trying to quickly turn the tables over, but she could've given us a few minutes. read more

This was my 14th time eating at Luk Fu, and in a disappointing turn of events, Luk Fu has gotten worse and worse. I don't know what is going on - perhaps a significant change in chef staff? Service is still great, but unfortunately I can no longer recommend the quality and quantity of the food here. The String Beans With Shrimp ($20) were underfried (beans were squeaky and not wrinkled as usual) and the dish was tossed with what seemed like the Mongolian Beef sauce? Way too sweet and saucy - yuck. This is completely different than the previous 10 times I've ordered this dish. When I asked the server about the difference, she made it seem as if this is how it has always been. Impossible. The Ma Po Tofu ($18) serving is at least 40% less food than before. Disappointing to see the hot pot not filled to the brim with Ma Po. Luk Fu had a good little run there, but things have clearly fallen off the track a bit. I will give it one more try in a few weeks to make a final determination. In the meantime, you must try the family-run Chopstixx Cafe down the street in Elkridge for much more consistent Chinese & Thai for less than half of the price. read more

My parent's second home is Maryland Live Casino, so when we get that invitation for "free" dinner we rarely turn it down lol. It's usually a toss up between Prime Rib, Cheesecake Factory or here. Hubby and I have this running joke- "We're having dinner at 'Yuk Fu' again . I must say, every single time we dine here I'm always leaving disappointed. My parents often get there before we do so they end up ordering for us. My Dad knows I LOVE sushi, so he orders the Sashimi Deluxe for me. I'm sorry, but the sushi here is not fresh and is not of good quality. I was even surprised at the measly size of the shrimp they had the audacity to serve smh (see photo). Hubby's "go to dishes" include the salt & pepper pork chop and combination fried rice which he seems to enjoy. Tonight, he opted for just the shrimp fried rice because adding the other meats would be an additional $15 each!! Yikes! I get it, this a casino, but damn that's highway robbery! Not sure how non gamblers can afford these prices- good thing Mom & Dad have generous comps . They also ordered what was supposed to be sweet & sour whole fish, but apparently they ran out of the sweet & sour sauce so it was just a bland, fried fish. Same with the calamari. No seasoning. No salt or any type of seasoning was used. Fried rice should be crisp and flavorful. You can tell the wok wasn't as hot as me because it lacked that smoky wok flavor lol. Thai tea was just meh, and I'm not crazy about the type of bobas they use. Now let's talk about the positives - Their Chinese broccoli was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service is ALWAYS the best, especially when our favorite server is there. Make sure to ask for Tina:) Let me not forget about Josie, one of the managers. Luk Fu is ok. Their soups are good, if not bland at times. Sometimes not the freshest ingredients. I would not recommend any of the dumplings or buns, as they are not fresh. I think of Luk Fu as a good neighborhood Chinese take out place, that also has a better selection. Price is high because of the casino, so that affects the rating too. A shame, as it looks like they have a few authentic Chinese chefs cooking, but it does not translate into the food. I think they are limited by the quality of the ingredients. Sushi is all expensive and not worth it. Service is also slow, even when it is not visibly busy. Very frustrating. If you have casino comp dollars to use, Luk Fu is not a bad option and gets a 3 star rating. If you are using real money, I would not come here. The Cheesecake Factory is the better option then. read more

Wow, the price of the food is no where near comparable to what you get. Chilean sea bass was $60 and we were served a 4X4X1 piece of heavily crusted fish. No flavor, just crispy for $60. Unless you are getting comps and do not want to leave casino for way better food then this is for you. My suggestion would be to look elsewhere and save some $$$. The pork buns tasted like the ones you get at the Asian supermarket - just reheated and warmed up. The General Tso's chicken, though.... we were expecting the deep fried breaded chicken with a sweet sauce on it. If that's what you want, don't order this. The chicken is NOT breaded, it tastes like they dropped in raw chicken into a fryer and dried it out to the point where it's tough and chewy, and then poured a sweet & sour chili sauce on top of it.
