LugDen is truly just a guy in a van (hanging with his dog). I told him I was surprised there's no storage at Union Station, to which he replied: "We're here!" Fair enough. I didn't sign up online to use the service. I just walked up, gave my name & phone number, then paid ahead with card & a tip screen. He gave me a claim tag for my bag. Since it's pre-paid, you do have to choose your number of hours ahead of time -- I just bought all day ($10), so I don't know what happens if you come back late. When I returned, he came out of the van to meet me. This is a great location to pick up your luggage and walk through Union Station directly to the metro/bus/Amtrak loading zones. Couldn't be more happier with their service, flew into Denver to surprise my friend for his bday, took the light rail from Denver Airport to Union Station, didn't want to carry my bag while we were walking around downtown, found Lugden and Mario was very friendly and clear about their process for holding the bags $10 flat rate to hold bag until 7pm Additional $5 from 7pm-12am $50 after 12am midnight. I was able to enjoy my evening with my friend going around to some of local bars. Started to walk back towards Union Station at 10:25pm and text Mario to let him know. I got back to the van around 11pm and Mario was waiting for me to give me my bag, before heading back on the train. We checked on their website and saw that they are open 24/7, so we planned the whole first day of our trip around this business' service. When we got there, the van was unattended and no one answered our calls for service (per the instructions) or responded to our calls. We had to cancel our plans. He keeps your luggage in a van then he goes to an office I assume to wait on the next customer. The prices are very fair so much so I didn't have to negotiate. Easy deal when you're on vacation and prioritize safety of your bags. 5/5 service: We booked our reservation online the night before but had some delays in the morning and needed to push our drop-off time about one or two hours. Called them and had 0 pushback. We pulled up near the van (not a lot of street parking), saw the van was empty, called the number, and a guy came to the car within 3min. He loaded our bags, gave us a ticket, and we were on our way. 5/5 communication: the guy texted us an hour before the final pick-up time (6pm during reg hours), and was there waiting when we got there. LUGDEN is such a simple and brilliant concept that I'm surprised they haven't started it elsewhere. We were booked on an 11pm flight but had to leave our hotel by 1pm. Having luggage with us throughout the day seemed like an inconvenience and a lot of work. I hate having to lug a suitcase around and being worried about it going missing. It was completely random that I found LUGDEN but I'm glad I did. The concept is easy: drop off your luggage and pick it up whenever you want. I made a reservation online which was super simple but I don't think you need one (better safe than sorry though). I paid $10 for a piece of luggage and an extra $5 for the late pick up time (after 6pm according to the website). The pick up/drop off spot is very easy to find- right out front of union station. The employee showed up about ten minutes early, took my information, looked at my receipt, had me sign a form and took my luggage. I called 15 minutes before wanting it and was greeted by the same employee and exchanged my ticket for my bag and we were on our way. We had a great experience. The only hiccup is it didn't feel like the employee knew anything about my reservation besides the time to meet me. Seems like a tablet could be beneficial for seeing my name, the number of pieces and if I already paid. Just a suggestion. Such a great convenient service. I had to check out of my Airbnb by 11AM and my flight was not until 7PM. I took an Uber to Union station after seeing that Lugden provided a service to store my carry on rolling luggage. The van was indeed across the street from Union Station. The drop off process was super quick and easy and we got a claim ticket from the Lugden staff member. It is $3/hr or $10/day to store per item. My husband and I were able to freely walk to Coors Field and enjoy a ball game and come back within 3 hours. The attendant was at the van when we stopped by and wanted to pick up the bags earlier than we had estimated and we only got charged the hourly rate which was nice. Overall, I would use Lugden again. Genius! Amazing concept. Honestly, more cities should offer this. I can't believe lugden is the one and only luggage storage in Denver... With that said, my experience was great. It was easy to book online. Directions were easy to follow, and picking up luggage at the end of the day was a phone call away. The location is right off the free mall trolley, so it's easy to get to, and very central to downtown Denver. The service was friendly and prompt. I felt that my luggage was safe the whole time, and changing my pickup time was a breeze. I do wish there was a little break for storing two bags. I had one large bag and one small bag, and it was $10 each. If they did a $10 for the first bag, then slightly less for each additional bag, that would be a nice touch. When I arrived in Denver via the light rail from the airport I was immediately annoyed that I would have to lug my bags around or bring them to my hotel to sit there until I could check in. You make a reservation online using their easy-to-use webpage and pay with a credit or debit card. We took the Denver airport light rail into Union Station and hopped onto the 16th Street Mallride (free) to California Ave to get to the place, super easy and about 10 mins. Convenient location! We were greeted by the guy who runs the show and he was super nice and helpful. We were a little late for our scheduled arrival time, but he assured us it was no problem. The Free 16th street shuttle makes dropoff/pickup very easy - no dragging luggage more than a couple blocks, and you can get from LugDen to Union Station on your way to the airport very quickly. read more

I am writing this review because the owner of Lugden, Mic, lost; "gave-away" my girlfriends suitcase when we were in Denver for a wedding the Sept. 15th, 2018 weekend. I do NOT want anyone to deal with what we went through. This seemed like a great idea to check our bags and walk around Denver for a few hours before having to catch the train to the airport, but after only checking our bag for an hour we went back by and my bag was sitting on the side of the van and her bag was completely gone! Again, out there for a wedding! She had shoes, jeweler, expensive purses and pictures of her and her deceased father that she takes everywhere with her to keep him close to her; but her bag was gone. He had no system to track, had zero clue who he had given it and could not call any of the previous people that he had recently given their bags back to them. He quickly ran off in side as I called to the police to get me his liability insurance policy and stated "Oh man I just remembered, her bag was really heavy right? Some guy came by and said it was his bag and there were books in it so I let him take it." WTF!!!!! How does someone take someone's checked bag and run off with it. To make matters worse because we had a plane to catch I called his insurance company the following Monday and his "Insurance Representative" informed me that Lugged Inc has lapsed on their insurance and has zero liability coverage for instances like this. Guys I hate writing nasty reviews, especially about a small business owner but this business is not delivering the service they are promising. Looking back, I feel like the whole thing was a scam to steal expensive things from unsuspecting tourist. Do NOT use this guy or his company. He has no system in place to ensure your luggage is safe. Just so you know I have tried to call and email and left multiple messages trying to find some middle-ground and give him an opportunity to make amends as I know how determinantal negative online reviews can be for a business but they have not returned a single call or email and know that we are back in FL and she has lost/had stolen many, many expensive and sentimental things we have no choice but to share our story so that know on hopefully ends up having a similar experience. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I Posted an honest review on google and received a few nasty responses from the owner. One even accused me of being racist. My post: Good in theory, but we were told they would be there when we needed to get our bags and they weren't. Another lady said she had called them and they would be there soon. Next you're not allowed to go in the van, that's packed floor to ceiling, to show them which bag is yours. So, you wait for them to empty out all the other bags until they get to yours at the bottom of the pile. They need better organization and customer service. They smashed a ladies hat and said it doesn't look smashed to me. Not okay! Figure out a better system and this would be a great option, but for now AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN. read more

When I searched luggage storage, Lugden was the first place that popped up and was conveniently located across the street from union station. Didn't need a reservation and walked right up. Paid the extra $5 to pick our bags up after hours (7pm) and the van was promptly there right at 7! We each had a suitcase and a backpack.
