This is a small hole in the wall place that specializes in Philippine food with a splash of Hawaii thrown in. The Lumpia are totally authentic and tasty. The Kalua pork plate was just like being on the north shore of Hawaii and the Spam musabi was the perfect way to start the meal off for me. There's limited seating and it's kind of hard to locate ( the door is around the corner from the parking lot and there's construction going on) but it's well worth the search. We walked in and were greeted with a big smile and hello and it only took about 10 minutes for our lunch to be ready for pickup. We'll be back there soon. read more

Stopped here on our drive between San Diego and Phoenix, one of us was craving teriyaki chicken. I have not had the pleasure of trying Filipino food before, as the dishes I've come across usually contain meat. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had several options available for me as a pescatarian. Vegetarians would not have many options. The orange chicken and teriyaki chicken plates were sauced well and very flavorful, according to my dining companions. One also ordered the spam musubi and really enjoyed it. The sticky rice has a nice texture, and the macaroni is more like a pasta salad but kind of bland in my opinion. They do offer soy sauce and sriracha to season your food if you desire. I tried the spicy mayo Poke burrito, which is a new concept for me. I thought it was pretty good but was lacking in spice for me, and I also wish it had more vegetables in it, like cucumber or avocado to go along with the spring mix. Prices were reasonable although we were not charged correctly for one of the dishes we ordered off the specials menu, and when we asked about it when the lady was ringing us up, she tried to tell us the extra $2 charge was due to "taxes", even though taxes were applied after the total... a little disappointed in that aspect. First off, I was so happy that there is an authentic Filipino food restaurant in Yuma! I'm from Seattle where Filipino food is abundant. So when my sister and I were getting gas at the Cheveron near by, we decided to try Ludi's and boy was I happy! They not only have Filipino food but Hawaiian dishes as well. My sister ordered the salmon sinigang and I ordered the chicken katsu, and a halo halo to share. Fist of all, the halo halo can feed three or even four people it was so big! It had the crunchies on top, une ice cream, coconut shreds, ube halaya (ube jam)and jellies. There was a circular bean looking thing that was a hard but other than that it was pretty good! My sister let me try her salmon sinigang and wow, so flavorful. The salmon was tasty and had lots of veggies, served with rice on the side. My chicken katsu was crispy on the outside, tender chicken on the inside. Came with a scoop of rice, and Mac salad. The Mac salad could have used more flavor though. For beverages we got a can of coconut juice and a Hawaiian sun lilikoi passion drink. The staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean and comfy with air conditioning which is important lol. Picked up a week long Pet Sit here in Yuma because of its close proximity to visit my Dentist south of the border. While searching for places to eat, Hawaiian BBQs alway grab my attention first. That's how I found Ludi's Pacific Barbecue and I'm really glad I chose to eat here. The Staff is super friendly and helpful if you have any questions. I selected the Teriyaki Chicken Lunch Special listed on a Chalkboard in the window as you enter and it was delicious. The chicken was perfectly grilled with a bit of char but still moist and tender. The Mac Salad was tasty and the sticky Rice was cooked to perfection and sat on top of a a base of teriyaki sauce. I also ordered a small Pancit to go which I ate later for dinner and was surprised to find that it contained veggies, chicken, and shrimp which was an amazing and tasty deal. Located on the end of a Strip Mall, the restaurant is comfortable and active as they serve a mixed of seated and take-out customers. They knew many of their customers names, so it also gave off some neighborhood restaurant vibes. If you live in Yuma or are just passing by, give Ludi's a try. read more

We were passing through Yuma on our way to La Jolla for a wedding. When on the road, one need not settle on fast food. Found this place on Yelp and decided to try it. I know little about Filipino food outside adobo, so I was excited to try something new. We ordered chicken teriyaki, the pork inasal and the lechon belly. We had both pancit and macaroni salad on the side. Everything was awesome. The pork inasal was our favorite overall, but everything tasted excellent. Service was wonderful. The gentleman who helped us was pleasant and kind and answered all our questions. The restaurant was clean and comfortable with a small grocery section stocked with Filipino staples and novelties. Hands down the best Filipino food in Yuma. We were driving back to SD from AZ and looking to crush some pancit. Lo and behold, Yelp provides! It seemed like a little bit of a detour off the 8 highway but it was well worth it! Located in a strip mall across the street from MCAS Yuma, this little Filipino gem serves up some legit food along with some Hawaiian style favorites like Spam Musubi and Chicken Katsu. We loaded up on pancit and some fresh lumpia along with a couple of musubis for the kiddo. Very generous portions of pancit too. We ended up finishing one order there and saved the second for dinner later. The young lady manning the front was very friendly and accommodating. Also, the pictures here only show 1 table, however there are at least 4 inside so there's room for several small groups to eat inside. There's a small counter outside if you want to stand and eat. Highly recommend for any Filipino cravings while you're in the area or passing through. Very reasonable prices, good food, and good portions. read more

They were so kind. It's a smaller place with about 6 tables I believe. The food was soooo good. I got a poke bowl and that sauce was delicious. My boyfriend got their most popular which is the killer chicken adobo and that chicken was perfectly cooked. My friend got the chicken katsu and he said it was really good as well. Absolutely the best Filipino food I've ever had! The owner and his staff are so very friendly and attentive to their customers. I have been here repeatedly and have never left unsatisfied. The portions are large, the prices are low and the food is always delicious. On my most recent visit, I came with five coworkers and we shared a specialty platter that included drinks for $50! It fed six full grown men with seconds to go around. The chicken asado had a perfect amount of char and the steak was flavorful. The panzet was delicious with small shrimp and pork in it and the lumpia were savory. The owner even offered us all beers and thanked us for patronizing his business. It took almost six months of Yuma living to discover this place. Had it not been for the incomparable Joyce W., I wouldn't have found out about it, so my thanks for pointing us in the right direction! My fiancée and I made an afternoon lunch visit to Ludi's to try their chicken and pork inasal. You don't have to be Filipino to appreciate the nostalgia and magnificence of barbecue and skewered fare. As soon as we entered the joint, we were greeted by plumes of smoke from the grill. Truly, we were home. Suffice it to say we liked our lunch so much that we ordered Ludi's again for dinner. It was ridiculous. More chicken inasal, pancit, and lumpia kept us fed for the next couple of days. These dishes are served with a complimentary fountain beverage, generous scoops of rice, and atchara. There's macaroni salad too, but I could pass on that. I will say this: They haven't quite gotten our lumpia order right just yet. I got hold of them by phone to point out that our order was a bit short, and without hesitation, they offered a bounty of lumpia for our next visit. Problem solved. I have yet to try their poke; I'm intrigued by the burrito in particular and would like to order it sometime. The staff wasn't exactly inviting or friendly, I felt as if I was bothering them more than anything when I was taking a longer time than normal to order because they ran out of the dish I wanted (Lechon plate). Ultimately, I settled on the chicken adobo. The food took about 20ish minutes to get to me, which I felt like it was longer than it shoul. Well once I got the food I was underwhelmed, the portion size was small and definitely lacking flavor. I had such high hopes but unfortunately Ludi's fell short.
