I really try not to post "knee jerk reviews on here for silly reasons. Who try was our waitress. (At least that's what the ticket said cause she never introduced herself.). Started out bad asking if we knew what we wanted to order same time as getting our drink orders, but before I could even respond by saying " Well I have hot food waiting" as she was walking off. When she returned to take order her attitude was horrible. Comes off very snotty and impatient. Trust me, I don't take long to order. I usually know what I want to eat. Next, poured some kind of black bug out of the sugar shaker for coffee. That was great. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Gravy for biscuits was cold. Pancakes....How do you screw up pancakes? Just not very good.. compared to well, about any other breakfast restraint I can think of.... watched our waitress with other customers. And honestly she seemed to be impatient and straight up rude to them as well. Haven't been here in a long while, but decided to give them a chance. Guess that was a mistake. Not good. Inedible. My belgian waffle was a soggy mess, the "fresh" strawberries it came with was Hershey's strawberry syrup. I ordered a dinner salad which was described as having cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, etc and I got a handful of rotten iceberg lettuce and two grape tomatoes. We ordered to-go and it took 30 minutes with only 2 tables full in the restaurant. I was shocked at how cheap the prices were, but then when I saw the cheap quality of the food it all came together. I know this is "diner food" but I have never been to a diner where the food was this awful! Disappointed We had heard so much about Lucy's Dinner and how good the food was, we decided to pay a visit for breakfast. Overall, the only good thing we can say about Lucy's is the FOOD is very GOOD. However, the rest of the service was terrible. It took 52 minutes to get 2 simple breakfast's from their menu. It was often too long between waiting for coffee refills while we sat and waited. From where we were seated we could see the order tickets being placed in the kitchen window and watch too often the cooks moving order tickets from a front line to the back constantly so its very possible your order tickets could constantly being shuffled around and NOT prepared in order that yours would have gone. The utensil were water spotted and dingy looking (didn't look as clean and sterile) as they should have been. No napkins on the table settings, missing salt or pepper shakers. Disappointed. My boyfriend and I have always wanted to try Lucy's out, so we decided to grab take out one morning (dining room was closed due to COVID). There weren't signs for pickup parking, so we just parked in a spot by the door. An employee promptly came out and said that we couldn't park there, because it was the boss's parking spot. Nowhere did it say anything about being the boss's parking spot or being unavailable (it was just a regular parking spot, closest to the door). Had we not already placed an order, we would have left on the spot. After she informed us it was her boss's parking spot and we would have to move, she then asked if we had an order. After we switched parking spots (we were the only ones there at the time, by the way), another woman came out to take our card and deliver our food. While the second woman wasn't necessarily rude, both of the women weren't wearing masks and weren't 6 ft away from us. The food was okay, but I will not be going back. read more

Eventually they brought out the turkey dinner. Cold canned green beans & lukewarm overcooked canned corn that had browned. I won't be back. The service was good, the items we ordered were ok, the place was pretty gross. Ripped up menus and filthy bathrooms make me wonder what the places customers can't see look like. I had beans and greens which was listed under soups. What I got was a bowl of pinto beans from a can with a small bowl of greens on the side. The cornbread was super dry and not sweet. Wife's salad was bagged lettuce mix with cheese, over cooked egg with the green ring around the yolk, and some almost past prime veggies. Super large portions of down home faves like meatloaf and mashed potatoes or roast beef and green beans. Their breakfasts are very tasty! Pie is worth a try, too. I'm reviewing their breakfast only. I come here weekends between 10am-12nn. I love this place! I prefer to come here than Denny's. They are: Open 24/7. Available parking. Cheap. Good portioned food. I suggest getting their pancakes and hash browns. Pancakes are fluffy and rich. They come with heavy butter. Hash browns are scattered on the grill so they are crispy. They offer several toppings: ham onions, etc. Check out their menu for more details. But definitely get the hash browns! The french toast and waffle are not that good. French toast made from cinnamon swirl bread - a bit disappointing. They have two entrances- one by the entry side and one by the exit side. You park around the building. Once you get in, it's seat yourself. I suggest waiting for a booth or table by windows to be available because sitting by the door would not be a good experience as there's traffic to and from kitchen and people would be standing next to you waiting for table. I just bought food for a friend of mine and I, and after I put out money for us, my friend counted it to make sure it was right, for I have just started taking a new pain pill that could cause me to be forgetful. The cost came out to $19.00 and some change, for which I put down four 5 dollar bills and some extra for tip. I know it was right (I count money for a living,) and he came running out to us that it was still two dollars short. I reluctantly paid for it thinking in the blur of the moment that I was wrong. I had money taken from me, and because of that I plan on telling everyone I know about this story. The people there are preying on people on medication those that come in late night looking like the 'party' crowd, so look at your receipt and such. read more

Contacted restaurant via Facebook messenger regarding an encounter when I dined on 5-11-19. I was pleasantly surprised when someone contacted me right back they stated they would have to speak to manager on Monday the 13th. I have yet to hear back from anyone after 2 additional messages to them. It is a disappointment as I had been to this restaurant on several occasions and did enjoy my dining experience on those occasions. Dirty restaurant, lots of flies, alive and dead. Waitress coughed the entire time we were there. She coughed on the coffee pot as she went from table to table, she coughed all over the condiment tray of salt, pepper, ketchup, etc. The waitresses were talking and laughing so loud when they weren't waiting on customers that we could barely hear each other across our table. Went to Arkansas from Kansas and family told us about Lucy's. The food was great. The biggest problem is space. There was very little room (of course-there was 11 of us and they worked to get us together!) For the food and atmosphere, def need more space. Looks like people enjoy it alot. Def give a thumbs up!! Love love love this place. A real throw back to the old diner era. Whether their ginormous breakfasts, lunches with my work peers or dinner with the family, this place never disappoints. Really frustrated that they don't restock the pop machine. They keep saying that the Coke company is not delivering. I feel this is not true but that they are trying to use up what they have and then plan to switch vendors??? Their drinks usually are the best because of great ice and drink variety. Not so anymore. Their food is good, it's kind of hit or miss. I was seriously turned off by the pregnant waitress out front taking her smoke break while drinking some sort of mystery "juice" that made a fellow waitress pucker her face due to the strength of the beverage. have not been to this restaurant in two years and decided to give it a try again. was hoping the food would be a little better but it was not. was also they would have done a little cleaning and refurbishing since we were last there but it is just as dirty as it was before. our table was not clean at all, my husband did not get what he ordered and my food was subpar. our waitress was not very attentive and when we asked for ketchup, she went to the table across from us and got their bottle. needless to say, this table had 5 adults at it and two little kids. as we were waiting for our food i watched as everyone handled this bottle of ketchup with a couple of mouths touching the bottle tip. so, when our waitress handed us the bottle i told here we did not want that one and to get us a fresh or at least clean bottle. she seemed really upset by the nerve of me asking for a new bottle. jeeze, in these times you would think they would have clean, fresh supplies for diners but they do not. makes me wonder what else is not changed out. anyway, decided at this point never again. done. expensive, subpar food, unfriendly waitstaff and pretty dirty. read more

Totally unassuming place! Was recommended as good home cooking and it far exceeded our expectations!! We started with the Trio appetizer and enjoyed the fried pickles, beans and mozzarella cheese sticks. Before we could get too far into the appetizer, we welcomed tasty dinner salads. Then came our meals. Wow! The chicken was juicy and tasty! We were on a road trip when we came thru, and will definitely keep it in mind next time we are in Rogers. Candace was our waitress and she did a great job of taking care of us. All the staff was very friendly and nice! This place is a lie in a diner. I find so many folks in town rave about this place. They claim most everything is homemade. I am from the south and I will tell you that is a lie and false advertising. Everything taste like prepackaged food you would eat a place that charges less. The hash browns are probably my favorite component of their breakfast; they're huge and have just the right amount of crisp. My husband and I visit Lucy's regularly. He loves their double cheeseburger and the mounds of fries that come with it. I expect better because we usually get better service and food. I've noticed in our visits there a person I thought MUST be the owner of the location would park right next to the building and even had "his" parking place blocked off so that no one EVER parked there. And also, he would stand in the way of the employees tthat were trying to get food out to customers or do other annoying things like throw a giant box out of the back room which hit the floor with a LOUD BOOM, making everyone in the place REALLY jump. VERY ANNOYING! Later he proceeded to spray what smelled like bug spray in the drink prep area right behind me as I was walking out. I asked who he was and found out he is the Manager. You'd think he'd be better at customer service! Over the past 1 1/2 years we usually go to Lucy's at least 2-5 times a month. We've gotten to know many of the wait staff and look for our favorites to sit in their sections. This time we didn't get one of the "known" wait staff. I was about to get up and get myself some extra napkins (my grand kids were with us), and refill my water and grand daughters sprite. The fries were almost inedible with so much salt! My chicken salad sandwich was supposed to be on toasted bread but it was not....white and soggy. Grand daughters french toast was pretty badly burnt on the edges. Hubbys burger was good but salty fries, grandsons silver dollar pancakes were great. If this was our first visit----we would NEVER return. But since we know it can be better we will probably go back sometime but it won't be soon! read more

Walked in at 10:30 pm, sat down and waited 20 min before we even received our drinks. Tables and the floor was disgusting but we still decided to give it a try. The waitress apologized for the mess but not for the bugs that were flying all over. We ordered our food because there wasn't a lot of other choices in town and it was the worst decision we ever made! Once we were finally were able to order another table of four sat down across from us which only made a total three tables of people in the restaurant. Needless to say the table that ordered had their food before us. The waitress finally came back and said that she apologized for the wait and she was giving us a discount. We haven't complained one bit and said it was fine. Fifteen minutes later she came back and apologized again. We then asked her if they had even started cooking our food yet, she mumbles and we said it was a yes or no question. She says no, so we got up and left after one hour of nonsense! For a DINER, I give this place 5 stars!! They are all SO friendly in there, you can sit wherever you want, and it you're a large group, all you gotta do is slide some tables to a booth and there you have enough seating! We've eaten here 3 times and enjoyed every meal from service to food and value. The portions are generous and comforting. We haven't tried breakfast yet, noticed other customers oversize plates, the Pork chop, Hamburger Steak dinners are great. Mom had the Meat Loaf and had to take some home. The pies seemed high and didn't order the last two times in. But the daily specials and other classic dinner dishes were a great value. Service was paced, able to eat my salad before the entree arrived. We have spread the word and look forward to next dinning experience.
