OK it is old school breakfast but very good; my brothers had the chicken fried steak and it was excellent. I had the ham and it was the best breakfast ham I have had in years; real ham-not deli ham. I had over easy eggs and both my brothers liked the potatoes extra crispy on the grill. The only thing that was no great were the grits; I use almost no salt in my cooking but in this case I don't think any salt was in them and they weren't nice and creamy. I would go here -Rodgers is filled with chain places and we like to try out non-chains-the place is what it is and very good. read more

I came here for lunch with some coworkers when I first moved to Arkansas. It wasn't amazing, but had typical diner food which NWA seems to be slightly lacking in. A few months later, I took my roommate here and we had a horrible experience. He ended up getting the ribeye steak, which apparently was spoiled meat and ended up giving him food poisoning. read more

While visiting on a working vacation in Rogers, I was wanting to scope out some local flair and came across Lucy's Diner. As an outsider, I looked the part with my flip-flops, collared shirt, and baggy cargo shorts. There was no mistaking that I had just flown in from somewhere else. Yet I was greeted with a hearty, "Welcome to Lucy's. Sit wherever you'd like!" This was the beginning of a great down-home, southern experience that encouraged me to visit once a day while I stayed there. It was the last meal that I had ate before boarding my plane back home and it resonated with me greatly. The food is extremely reasonable and service is quick (even on Sunday where they were quite busy). Not to mention that there's plenty of it! The Good: Amazing service with people that are genuinely interested in creating an awesome experience. They call regular customers by their first names. They were engaging and never pressuring. A fun atmosphere with a "roadside diner" feel. Food portions were phenomenal and made of fresh, quality ingredients. The Bad: Although all the portions were sizable, Lucy's forte is their grits and potatoes. They take over the plate and taste really good. Unfortunately, the meats seemed a bit bland and required some kind of condiment. The Ugly: The servers also function as cashiers and bussers. While I noticed about 4-5 at any given moment in the condensed dining room, there seemed to be very little in way of an organization system. Like car salespeople on a lot. This didn't seem to impose anything in regards to service but other duties like bussing tables seemed to sometimes lack. My $.02... Lucy's Diner is a fun place for cheap eats any time of the day. Big portions and great atmosphere make up for simple aesthetics that may be lost. I highly recommend eating here while staying in Rogers or becoming a regular if you are new to the area. read more

Today we went to Lucy's Diner for lunch. We are visiting family for our vacation. I love places like this. The food is so much better than those chains. I had a huge BLT and the most delicious homemade coleslaw. Fries came with it also, but I declined those due to health reasons. (the bacon put me over). Eric runs this diner and he was very courteous and helpful. Shane our waiter was the best I've ever had anywhere! I recommend you give it a try. read more

This place was dirty!!!!!! The staff looked like they were all half baked and the food was not good. Everything was bland, greasy and cold. The restroom was DISGUSTING and trash was everywhere...we spent $30 on two people and crappy food....not to mention the 45 minute wait in a half empty place! I would never go here again. The Waffle Hut down the road puts this place to shame. Don't waste your money because you could get better quality from McDonalds. read more

Update: it seems that this location has gone down hill ever since they opened more of them. Too much energy being focused elsewhere and is causing the original to become a shadow of its former self. Not as good as it used to be, which is a shame. Very retro atmosphere, extremely friendly and competent staff. The food is excellent and cheap. I have been to Lucy's several times and have great service and good unfortunately today was not the case. I had to flag down a waitress for menus. Order was taken, recieved food, my biscuit was hard and gravy was cold and boyfriend didnt recieve all he ordered. I will not be going back for a while. Maybe next time will be better. read more

This is a great all-night diner. If you want a burger, bacon and eggs or pie at 3 a.m., this place is it. Fun music and atmosphere. Absolute favorite item is the peanut butter chocolate pie. Whooboy, if they have it available, you do not want to miss out on this one. It is creamy, cold, chocolatey, sweet and will likely cause you to make suggestive noises (so try to restrain yourself). We were camping at Prairie Creek and wanted a restaurant meal. We found Lucy's diner on the web and decided to give her a try. Not impressed at all. I normally enjoy small diners and the simplicity of them. They were out of so much of their menu, it became annoying trying to select something to eat. It appeared that the establishment is falling apart and not very sanitary either, kind of nasty. Finally, they man behind the counter appeared very grouchy toward his staff and she was quite new to boot. All in all, I would suggest you skip this little place as it is certainly not a hidden gem in that community. read more

We have been to Lucy's once for dinner and twice for breakfast. The dinner items were definitely better than the breakfast items. The pork chops were tender and juicy. The green beans and potato salad were tasty. The highlight from the meal was the hot and creamy mac & cheese. The hamburger was freshly made and was great! The onion rings were hot and crunchy. We were comped pecan pie which was nothing special. The hot and fresh cinnamon rolls are the best! For breakfast we ordered the Philly Steak and Cheese Omelet, Western Omelet, and Silver Dollar Pancakes. The Philly omelet is stuffed with shredded steak and sautéed green peppers and onions. There is a slice of Swiss cheese on top. The steak was bland. The peppers and onions were greasy. There was virtually no cheese. The Western omelet also had virtually no cheese and its taste was nothing special. The highlight of breakfast was the Silver Dollar Pancakes. You get 6 smaller pancakes which we shared. The regular pancakes looked large and thick so these smaller ones were perfect as a side for the omelets. Highly recommend dinner. We won't be going back for breakfast. read more

We went for breakfast on a Sunday about 11 am and it wasn't too busy but I do see why people say it's dirty, it's the ceiling, it's just old and has never been cleaned so it's a typical older diner place and the food is food, nothing special, something that you go to when you're just too lazy to cook yourself, it's better than IHOP which doesn't say much but nothing I would return to, I prefer a more exciting different experience not simple. Came in for breakfast at 6 in the morning. Wife did not want to cook that morning so we thought Lucy's, we have not been there in a while. Half of the lights were on, so it was pretty dark in there. Soda machine was broken, there was some guy on the counter just hanging out talking to the waitress the whole time we were there. Service was ok. Waitress complained about mopping to every customer that walked in. Now waiting on the food, we were the only ones here at first and its been 20mins. What happened to the Lucy's we used to love? Great food, great service, as usual every time I have been to Lucy's. Problem why I don't go more often is the price. I ordered a sausage swiss omelet added mushrooms, came with biscuit and gravy, and hash browns added onion, cheese, and gravy. All add-ons came to 2 bucks. Had coffee and small orange juice. Came to 18.83 before tip. When did breakfast become so expensive? This place gives lots of food, I didn't eat the biscuit and gravy, but it just seems high priced for diner breakfast. Just saying and this is why I didn't give a higher rating. Why can't you give 1/4,1/2, or 3/4 stars. Then you could give a much more accurate rating. Lucy's deserved more than 4 stars but less than 5 stars. Oh well. read more

I love Lucy's diner. The food the atmosphere they are awesome. You get plenty of food, cooked well and homestyle. Nothing fancy just a great place to go really comfortable where you feel welcome. Tiffany is without a doubt the best Waitress in the place. We always ask for her when we go in and she takes great care of you. Makes you feel special walking in the door. The breakfast is great, and the special is a great value. Much better then Wesners. I plan on eating many more there. Burgers are good. Fries homemade and great. Don't get chicken dinner. Pies were ok at best. Patty Melt is awesome. The wait for the food to arrive is longer then I think it should be. So a few bugs to work out. But normal for a first week open. Like Cas, we enjoyed the food. My son and I were looking for someplace we could get breakfast for dinner vs. IHOP etc. Got a recommendation to try Lucy's out and we were glad we did. Pancakes were as big as the plates and the waffles were freshly made. Put some strawberries on top and wonderful meal. Only complaint, and not really one at that, is that our waitress was new and couldn't answer any of our questions or make a recommendation. I'm sure if she lasts she will learn. read more
