Put your money local for it actually helps somebody that you know and makes a difference in their life that day. I personally bought $37 worth of stuff which was probably like 7 items and some of those were brand new with tags on them and brand name, I got a purse. I can't say enough of what an experience it was to spend an hour wandering around his lovely store. The world need places like this to honor the past & the present! He said it's been there one way or another for 30 years. thank God they'll be here for another 30!. I did a bit more digging and soon discovered Howard and Marge. Color me happy! A clothing boutique for women of all ages with hip, sexy but not trashy, fun, colorful and unique apparel, not to mention the most fun trucker caps (I've got three so far) and other fun accessories for yourself or for friends. I literally stocked my closet with jeans, tops and sweaters from Howard and Marge and found a couple super cool, retro style shirts for my man. Since I'm not a mall shopper and I prefer to shop and support my local businesses I will probably be wearing Howard and Marge apparel exclusively now.

Bring your dog to work - do NOT YELL at me (the customer) for opening the door in fear that your dog will escape. You screamed at me and made no apologies for it, even though my mother was clearly holding YOUR DOG back from getting outside. Here is an idea, put a long lead on your dog. 2. How about talking to your customers and not just your friends. A quick hello and asking what we were looking for would have been nice. Sorry we did not go to school with you or that we do not have kids that go to school with yours, but we are very faithful Burien shoppers who deserve some attention. 3. Learn to use an inside voice. The volume at which the owner spoke was completely distracting. 4. Put price tags on things. There were some super cute knee high socks that I kept gravitating to, but contained no price tag nor was there any signage about the product. People do not like having to ask for the price of things. Be kind and label them. We have no intention of returning. Feeling sad and frustrated. A side note: I am not giving the one star rating because of this experience. I have been in this store several times before this and every time the owner and/or person working behind the counter seems completely consumed with something/someone else.

St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores aren't my favorite -- I've never had particularly good luck…read morethere, the inventory never seems great, and their regular prices often seem high (perhaps to offset their 50% off storewide sales). So I hadn't gone out of my way to visit this store until I happened to be in the area... and nothing about it changed my mind. This store is off the beaten path, but it is pretty large inside. It's basically like a warehouse inside, with cement floors and not much personality. Unfortunately, like many St. Vinnie's, the store felt understocked. The wall of purses had just a few hanging up, and there were large open spaces between the underfilled racks. Maybe I'm just used to Goodwill, where the racks are filled to overflowing, but it felt somewhat sad and picked-over, especially in the housewares section. (They were having a 50% off sale that day, so I'm sure it *was* fairly depleted at that point.) The one area where I think St. Vinnie's stores DO excel is their books. They tend to have large book/media areas with surprisingly new, good titles, often hardcovers, for good prices -- and they're a bargain at 50% off. But this store's book selection was not as good as other stores, and I didn't find anything I wanted to buy, even at half off. So, overall, not one of the better St. Vinnie's in the​ area, and not one that I'd go out of my way to come back to.

Very cool vintage and consignment store. Steve and I were strolling around in the White Center…read moreneighborhood and saw this shop. We were kind of drawn by the window display and went in. Practically all of the clothing is geared towards women. I saw plenty of cool stuff though. Steve saw a great leather jacket but it wasn't his size or cut. But despite all of that the inventory here is really great and some of the items are real gems. If you are into vintage clothing shops definitely swing by and take a peek.

A majority of the clothing is definitely female-based but there's still a decent-sized men's section, and I (a guy) managed to find what I needed to complete my fit. I could definitely see my fiancée loving a lot of the clothing here as well. The prices were very fair and in a day and age where everything is so expensive, everything here felt fairly priced without skimping out on style or quality.
