Staff are so lovely and friendly, they remember you. Last night we took our 5 month old with us ago has a cold so she was being a bit grumpy. But in my defence, we don't often get a takeaway and I sometimes find myself craving their Chow Mein! (Chicken or char siu pork, get fine noodles cause they're amaaazing. I even craved it when I was baking in the hot sun in Tenerife this year, true story.) I can also vouch for the chicken and ham fried rice, chicken in black bean sauce, spring rolls, ribs, and salt and chilli chicken wings - all delicious! My folks are big fans of their chicken curry as well, but as per I can't handle it cause it's just too nippy for me. The actual restaurant is great as well, I've had loads of brilliant meals here and everything is reasonably priced! They've usually got some sort of Set Menu on the go which has loads of great choices. The pineapple fritters are an absolute must as well, especially if you decide to share them and a portion of ice cream with another person - what a combo!! Although it's not very big, it's a quaint little joint and they're also good at catering for larger parties - I've had at least one family meal here and there were a fair few of us! So in summary, if you live near enough to get a takeaway from here or for some reason find yourself out Shettleston way, you can't go wrong with The China House :)

Tonight I ordered the salt and pepper chicken balls, chips fried rice and curry sauce and some prawn toast on the side. No chef's specials for this girl! I done my usual sharing a few of my favourite things. The salt and pepper chicken balls can be overly salty sometimes but tonight they were fab. As always, their prawn toast game was strong! Good Chinese in my area has been a bit of a quest but Golden Wok is definitely a consistently good option. And a sure thing to hold a hangover at bay!
