2025 Came back in 2025 for Mother's Day Still great! Prime rib excellent! Today I tried the "French Onion Soup". Great! Only good if you like onion. Also tried the "Fettuccine Alfredo". My wife had the two lobster tail and the "Chicken parmesan" This was all good. Nothing bad. Today I gave them 5 stars!! They earned it. Service was great. No issues. Highly recommended

Chicken scallopini

I got the chicken scallopini and it was okay. Very caper and feta heavy. Loved the fresh tomatoes in it and the chicken was moist. They have other things better than this (grilled chicken and angel hair is my favorite).

We were in town for a wedding and wanted a little date night while out of town. Based on the good reviews, we picked Lucky's. The Long Island's we ordered were done correctly. Many places we've been either add too much coke and it tastes like a pop or they add too much sour mix and it tastes like bad lemonade. The bartender perfected the craft of a Long Island. Our waitress, Kayla, had them out in no time at all along with the complimentary bread. The bread had good flavor but did have a little doughy flavor to it without actually being doughy. We each ordered steaks. One was the Cajun Ribeye that was perfectly cooked medium as ordered. The onions and red peppers were a really nice touch, though it did lack some Cajun flavor. The garlic mashed potato side was delicious! The other was a Porterhouse steak. Also ordered medium and it was cooked perfectly. It would be a shame to add anything to the steak, no A1 needed at all. It was extremely flavorful and juicy. The baked potato was also good. Cooked well, no complaints. At the end we asked Kayla to pick her favorite dessert on the menu and without hesitation, she said the carrot cake. So we asked her to put some in a to go box as we had absolutely no room left for dessert. It was a top notch carrot cake (and we eat a lot of carrot cake). It was moist, flavorful and the frosting wasn't overly sweet. In the event that we're in town again, we will absolutely be back.

Dinner food is good, the cheesecake and Kellie need a one star as they look and taste like a store bought box mix.

The fish and chips meal the was good but when you just get mayonnaise without relish. That's not tartar sauce. How cheap can you get.

Food was good but not great. Prices were reasonable. Alcohol was a bit pricey and the bar drinks were awful.

I've travelled quite a bit to Sarnia on business. I've heard from local colleagues that I should try Halibut House Fish and Chips. What drew me was the fact that they served haddock as one of the fish, and I have had fond memories of haddock fish fry. My colleague and I went there the other night and we really enjoyed our dinners. Both of us tried the haddock (and I also tried the cod which was also excellent). I loved the accompanying cole slaw which was not mayonnaise based, but vinegar based. The fish was a very large portion. It was not greasy (because they fried it at a high temperature), and it was flavorful. Lots of other places don't pay much attention to frequent change out of their fryer oils which take on a bitter taste and will be imparted to the food. That's because the structure of oil has changed from their use. This was not an issue at Halibut House. I didn't notice any after-taste. My compliments to the crew for paying attention to these details. The batter was very light and it complemented the fish, which was very fresh. As the frequency of my travel there is increasing, they can count on my future visits.

We were able to sit in a cute room with Christmas lights and decor! The mood lighting at night was great! I don't even know where to start with the food! We started off with the calamari and fried ravioli. I would definitely recommend the calamari, it was cooked perfectly with a delicious creamy light lemon sauce with Parmesan. We ordered many dishes and split them up between our family. We ordered the chicken picatta, it was amazing! It was cooked to perfection and the sauce was fresh and creamy. The chicken parmesan was classic! The tomato sauce was so fresh and the chicken was, again, cooked absolutely perfectly, the cheese on it was great and the portion was huge! The ceaser salad was homemade and the dressing didn't have fish which is good for a vegetarian. The gnocchi was phenomenal. It was pillowy and comforting and filled with a delicious cheese, we recommend ordering it with the palomino sauce (homemade Alfredo sauce mixed with Mariana sauce!). The pesto pasta was pretty good and if you like mushrooms the chicken masala was pretty good as well. Our waitress was so sweet! She was very helpful and answered all of our questions. She went out of her way to make sure we were having a good experience. If you live near by this is a must

We walked in without reservations and we're seated right away. We got our drinks and apps fairly quickly as well. We really liked the cute fishbowl cocktail. It was evenly mixed and tasted great! I had a few questions about how portions worked compared to weight and our server was easily able to answer without getting too technical. We did not have to wait long at all to get our food either. The seafood boils came out in a tied bag on a tray and a trash can, bibs, gloves, a shell cracker, and shell splitter were given to us for ease of eating. As soon as we poured those bags onto our trays our mouths were watering. It looked so good and it tasted even better. We both got the A+ seasoning which is all of their seasonings mixed together and we liked it a lot. My sister got it with a medium spice level and said she didn't taste much spice as if it was a mild spice level like what I got but still tasted good. The seafood was fresh as well. I loved the snow crab legs and they were decently sized too. It wasn't too loud inside and not too busy for a Friday night and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. Everything was decently priced and the bathrooms were fairly clean as well. Overall we liked the place a lot and would come here again.
