    Kids Smores Pancake

My family and I have been coming to krave sense they opened. The food & service is great for both dine in and carry out. My favorite breakfast is the chicken with sugar waffles. The kids love the smores pancakes, omlettes, or regular pancakes. For lunch they have really good burgers too! Shout out to the owner for giving free kids meals when purchasing an adult entree. This makes it more affordable for families & is super appreciated by us regulars. Every waitress ive had there has been super nice!

Food was pretty good! Although some seemed a little burnt and some seemed a little undercooked, it wasn't bad though. The service was good, waitress came around to make sure everything was okay. Came to take our orders in a decent time, also was very nice. The layout of the restaurant was very nice, it also wasn't very busy. Price was very good for a family of five! Definitely a good spot if you wanna go out for a decently priced dinner!

We loved this place when they first opened but they have since changed their menu and portion sizes. We used to go for the fried fish dinner and they got rid if the aoli they used to serve with it and they changed the cut of the fish. We got the chicken this time and it was okay but the mashed potatoes were disgusting. They were thick and old and the gravy was very artificial canned/jar tasting. Unfortunately this place isn't on radar anymore.

First time here and they did not disappoint! Very clean building and the service was perfect? I had the steak and eggs which was done perfectly! Good sear on steak and perfect medium rare inside. Wife had the country skillet, which was really good. Their sausage gravy is very good. The Bernaise that comes with the steak is to die for. The prices are very reasonable as you get lots of food.

the food is AMAZING. The presentation is always top notch, I think the chefs really care and love what they do! Very diverse menu that I am trying so many things, just tried the cannoli crepes and they are great too. It's always a quiet and chill atmosphere but I def recommend this place

We chose the bar. * The lady that waited on us was nice and attentive. * Good beer selection, really liked they had two reds on their menu. And the beers were good. * Hand battered boneless chicken breast as very god. Would get again for sure. Big chunks of meat and light batter and a Buffalo sauce that was tasty but not all Tabasco. * The poutine fries tasted good. * And the beer flight in served in a neat little book. What could of been better: * The other waitress that just stood at the end of the bar glaring. * The loaded tater tots were not crisp and would fall apart. Kind of mushy. * While the poutine fries tasted good, the fries were big curled potato wedge type things. Not crisp and not quite the right thing for poutine. Overall I would go 3.5 stars. But Yelp doesn't believe in halfsies. It was better than 3 but just shy of 4. We will try again, as it's a cool little place off the beaten path.

Prost was such a fun Valentine's Day spot for us! It was our first time in, and overall we had a…read morereally great experience. Our server, Tanner, was genuinely kind and welcoming, which made a big difference. The table was set nicely when we arrived -- wine glass and water glass, silverware wrapped with cloth napkins on a side plate, and a candle lit off to the side. It felt thoughtful and perfect for a date night. We split the French Onion Soup to start, and it was delicious. Maybe a little pricey at $12, but it came with lots of cheese and bread (plus bread on the side), so it felt worth it as a starter. My boyfriend ordered a Long Island Iced Tea -- strong, but no complaints there -- and I got cranberry juice. Both drinks came out in the same glassware as the water, styled like cocktails, which I actually appreciated. No weird "different treatment" if you're not drinking alcohol, which is always a plus to me. We also did the Build-Your-Own Board, which was really fun, and Tanner was super helpful in guiding us through the choices. We picked Summer Sausage, Garlic & Herb Soft Cheese, Smoked Gouda, Fire Roasted Tomatoes, and Balsamic Onion Jam. The Fire Roasted Tomatoes were SO GOOD, and I usually don't even like tomatoes. They were soaking in olive oil (I think?), which had great flavor and paired perfectly with the bread and Garlic & Herb Cheese. I also really enjoyed the Balsamic Onion Jam, savory, slightly sweet, and a little goes a long way. Overall, everything tasted great. I was a little disappointed in the portion of Smoked Gouda compared to the soft cheese, especially considering some soft cheeses can retail around $30 per pound. If you're looking for the best value, you might consider a different cheese option. That said, extra bread was only $1, which felt like a great deal for the amount we received. We were honestly getting pretty full and almost couldn't finish it all. We were seated in the cellar area, which was okay, just a little small, and the music was pretty loud. Not ideal for a Valentine's date when you're trying to have a conversation. Random but important: the bathrooms were spectacular. Individual, spacious, very clean, nice sink setup, pump soap, automatic paper towel dispenser, and even a candle lit. Honestly, 10/10 bathroom experience. Overall, it's a really solid date night spot with great service and good food. Just a couple small tweaks (music volume and cheese portions!) would make it even better. We'd definitely come back.

I then consulted Yelp and we decided to give Table 5 a try. The interior is very pretty, decorated nicely with a good mix of tables to allow some privacy. We opted to dine outside because it was such a beautiful evening in Northville. We were seated at a cozy table and met with a hospitable server who made the meal even better. They start you off with house made bread with whipped, flavored butters. The special butter of the day was banana bread flavor. Oh my, what a treat! I love the creativity and the effort! It was very much appreciated! We had a lovely and I mean very lovely appetizer which was the whipped ricotta with peaches, toasted pistachios and blueberries. It was served with herbed bread and this was nothing less than spectacular! I couldn't stop dipping. The mains were the filet with whipped mashed potatoes along with asparagus. This was devoured and resulted in being a member of the clean plate club. Kudos to the chef, perfect steak! We also had the wedge salad with green goddess dressing. This was really tasty, fresh and filling. We were so full and satisfied so their famous butter cake will have to wait until our next visit. I hope that will be in the very near future! This has been my favorite restaurant in Detroit for years now The food is always outstanding and…read morethe service is perfection. It is still certainly in my top 10, and the service remains perfect, but we had a few dishes that missed the mark, the wine pairing just wasn't worth it and this was even more true for my husband who went for the upgraded wine pairing (mine beat his every time, but for 1 glass). That and the slightly smaller portion sizes and that they no longer do an amuse bouche or salad with the bread as they used to, brought them down to a 4. Note that they do add a 22% service charge to the bill, which usually pushes my buttons... But the service is so perfect, and they very directly call it out, so it didn't bother me that much. All that said this is still a fabulous place to go, even more so, if you are with a vegetarian or a pescatarian, because all can enjoy!

We dined at Freya and opted for the nine-course chef's tasting menu. Overall, it was a thoughtful…read moreexperience, but at $155 per person, there were several misses that made this feel like a one-and-done for us--especially when compared to other tasting menus in the Detroit area at a similar (or lower) price point. One small but meaningful improvement would be providing a printed menu. With nine courses, it's hard to remember every dish and its components, and a takeaway menu would elevate the experience. While this was the omnivore-only option, a surprising number of courses leaned vegetarian. The mushroom tacos were interesting, but the celery root tortilla was very chewy. The spaghetti squash "pasta" course had good flavor, paired with a spicy marinara, though the squash could have been a bit more tender. The cheese course (Camembert) opened the meal and was good, but I would've liked a bit more nuttiness or complexity. The cobia fish course was nicely prepared but needed more salt, and both the fish and sauce could have been served warmer. The sausage course was a highlight--excellent flavor with a subtle fennel note, and the temperature was spot on. Unfortunately, the strip steak was a major letdown. It was served with noticeable gristle and had to be sent back. For this price point, that should never leave the kitchen. Dessert was just okay. The grapefruit and tequila sorbet was challenging for us since we opted for non-alcoholic beverages--the tequila flavor was very strong, making us wonder how much alcohol remained. A chocolate dessert option would have been a welcome alternative. The palate cleanser was a warm ginger, lemon, and lime shot. Personally, I prefer something icy or granita-style here; serving this cold would've made a big difference. The timing of the courses felt unnecessarily drawn out. The meal lasted about three hours, with close to 20 minutes between courses. Tighter pacing--closer to 10-12 minutes--would greatly improve the flow and overall enjoyment. One final note: a 22% gratuity was automatically included and then taxed, even for a party of two. Forced gratuity at this size feels unnecessary, particularly given some of the service and execution issues throughout the evening. At this price point, gratuity should be left to the diners' discretion, not mandated--especially when the experience doesn't fully meet expectations. We've had excellent tasting menus elsewhere at similar or lower price points that felt more cohesive and refined. While there were some strong moments, Freya is likely a one-time visit for us.

No one else seated in that area at that time. With entire floor empty, four of us were seated at the table at the back where all traffic to and from kitchen must pass. Not a problem, but by the time we had dinner with dessert, the entire area was filled with customers...subjecting us to the constant in/out business of the kitchen traffic. Clearly we were given the noisiest and worse table in a location where there was not a single occupied table. I didn't think we appeared that undesirable. The bill for our dinners with dessert came to almost $300...two of us had salmon with plum sauce, a dish we enjoyed and have had on prior visits. My complaint...1 person asked for extra plum sauce to take with her leftover salmon. She received a plastic container with approximately 3 ounces of sauce. The charge $3.00. I am not cheap, or I wouldn't be treating people to rib-eye steak or salmon that we enjoyed at a place like White Horse Inn. But...I do consider WHI to be cheap and willing to sacrifice losing a customer with that kind of service, or lack thereof.
