Great food & even better prices! I have been going here for years! Would not change where I go!

In Derry, for years, Lucky Panda was the kind of place you recommended without hesitation. It was dependable. The portions were generous, the flavors were balanced, and the kitchen clearly took pride in what left the pass. Whether it was a quick takeout order after a long day or a casual dinner, you knew exactly what you were getting: fresh ingredients, consistent preparation, and food that felt worth your money. Unfortunately, that version of Lucky Panda feels like a distant memory. Over time, the quality has declined to a point that's difficult to overlook. Dishes that were once vibrant and well-seasoned now arrive bland, overly greasy, or inconsistent in texture. Fried items taste as though the oil hasn't been refreshed often enough. Sauces that were once rich and balanced now feel watered down or overly sweet. Even the staples -- the dishes that should never falter -- no longer reflect the care they once did. Prices have climbed, yet the quality hasn't followed. When higher costs are paired with declining standards, it sends a message -- and not a good one. It no longer feels like a business invested in serving the community; it feels like one cutting corners while charging more. Derry deserves establishments that take pride in what they serve and value the loyalty of their customers. At this point, Lucky Panda has lost that sense of pride and reliability. It's off my list -- and unless meaningful improvements are made, it may be off many others' as well. read more

Worst food ever totally loaded with oil and greasy beyond belief , slimy noodles dried out rice greasy chicken wings odd taste to the whole greasy order... never again. Terrible food read more

How is this place still open ? No customers and tiny portions. Never again ! Taste bad and you get nothing fir your money.

Just recently moved to the area from MA. Couldn't find a place that had half-way decent fried rice. I've ordered a few times, I am satisfied with their food, and they have become my normal go-to place for Chinese food. Their fried rice is solid AF; not too much oil, good balance of add-ins. The appetizers are also solid, nothing to write home about, but completely serviceable for the price/portion. The "classic" meals (e.g., Chicken and Broccoli, General Gau's, etc.) are also all good. If you like curries, the Singapore Chow Mai Fun is a must! Overall, while not the best Chinese I've EVER had, it's still pretty darn good. read more

The Lucky Panda is the best restaurant to take the place of Derry Express. There was so much food you get two meals out of it and still delicious on the second day. We have ordered twice from here and we are not disappointed. You have to try them. read more

These poor reviews are kidding, 1 people saying tiny portions, a little over priced but the portions are a pretty good size unless you are use to eating out of a horses trough. they are being that bad, when I say good size, they are a standard good size. next saying the food is horrible??? are these people sane, the rice is sub par Yes, because it is made in a rice cooker, but they are not saying that, their appetizers are the best hands down and people are saying pretty stupid stuff, I can see someone insulting the rice, but that is about it, or the Lobster Sauce ( I do not know if they upgraded it but it was the really liquard one that has no ground meat in it, it is a Style i do not like ) but, seriously, I think these people are off their rockers, 4 stars Not 5, because of the Rice and Lobster sauce, WHO cooks fried rice in a steamer, but other then that, pretty good food period read more

I go to this place plenty of times and I have never been disappointed. The portions are good, the food tastes great, and the service is always fantastic. The restaurant does a great job with their COVID precautions, they have a really slick takeout setup with an intercom and a window where they place the food. The family that owns the place are very nice people and really friendly. This is a great spot for great Chinese food! read more

This is the best place for Chinese food both taste and value wise in Derry. The fact that they're on door dash is great too. Look forward to eating there again once the damage from the fire is repaired. read more

Very disappointed. The food was bland with very little flavor. The rice didn't seem fresh and the breading on the chicken fingers was thick and flavorless. The crab rangoon also lacked flavor and the filling was very dry. Won't order again. In fact we threw out the leftovers. read more

So we tried Lucky Panda tonight.. Well lets sadly say last time we will do so.. Ordered PuPu platter boy it was so small we were in shock! Most other places are more generous with their platters. the spare ribs were very very thin slices of boneless ribs not even a whole rib! Next beef lo mein was so disappointing.. when you open the container u see some veggies on top u get excited then boom none in the rest of the container.. hardly any beef just all brown noodles!! Very plain! Crab ragoons were folded in a 4 fold manner which made the cheese very small and quite dry cheese I may add. For 50 dollars and hardly none for leftovers wow what a disappointment.. will not be going back!! read more

We prefer Lucky Panda to any other Chinese place around (and there are several). I love their Orange Chicken; it's the only place I have ever ordered it where it actually has a bit of a kick, and the chunks are small. My boyfriend loves that they have a "lighter side" menu, and he never wavers from the steamed veggies and chicken. Their lo mein is also great, and the service is always very friendly. read more

I was coming home from a ski trip and was excited to have Chinese food. I am usually very tolerant for food qualities and consume everything, but this time I have literally downloaded this app for the first time to leave a review. The rice and the noodles were okay, but the chicken and pork were inedible. The chicken was obviously not chicken and some kind of substitute, it looked gooey and foamy in the lo mein and gooey in the chicken tenders. My friend also got crab Rangoon and boy was that a bad idea. We paid a standard price for Chinese food and this food was not up to par. At least the fortune cookies were normal. We had to stop at the nearest gas station because our stomachs hurt soon after. Will not come again. read more

Overall i normally don't spend time rating Chinese food restaurants because the food is at best only OK. Because they were named the same as one of my all time favorite restaurants that closed down years ago i wanted to give it a try. First try i got a bunch of MICS food and ordered it Togo. Got home and everything was good. The crab Rangoon was out of this world. General tau's was good... But could it all be better if fresh? I decided to go there and try it fresh and found it to be amazing. The owner also was there both times and very receptive of any comments. Overall i will be back. read more

So I've always been a derry express guy but since that closed down I decided to try lucky panda. Now I'm not one to write reviews but after the experiences I've had here I feel it is warranted. Normally you can have 10 Chinese places you like because one is great rice and the other is great crab Rangoon ect. I have tried their food now about 10 times and where I had mixed reviews in the beginning I am set on not going there again! My first time I got a bunch of stuff and was not totally thrilled especially about their rice. I did get General Tao's chicken and although it was orange in color it was spicy and had great texture and flavor. Their pork fried rice was flavorless and very light in color. Now what you get you would expect each time but that was not the case. Every time the order was different in its preparation. This past time I asked for extra spicy General Tao chicken. And it came back soggy and no spice. The rice was drowned in soy sauce to the point it was not eatable by everyone in the household. The Kung pao chicken was also soggy and flavorless.... the chicken lo mein container was barely filled and also had no flavor.. it goes on... I spent $130 and most went in the trash... I do not recommend this place and will never go back myself. read more

First problem with this joke of a restaurant. Ordered food at 5:44 for delivery and did not receive food until after 7:15PM. Completely unacceptable considering we live 2 miles away. Second issue is they messed up the order and we did not receive what we ordered. We called them back and explained our frustrations with how long it took to get the order since it was double the time we were quoted and that we did not receive our orders correctly with quite a few things we ordered missing. The woman who answered the phone was quite rude and all she said was "it wasn't on the ticket" didn't even care to offer anything or correct the order, didn't really seem to fazed by it and didn't apologize. Food is also 2 out of 5 stars at best and as expected because of how long it took, also cold. Plenty of other restaurants out there that have way better customer service and appreciation. We will not be ordering from here again. read more
