This was not a good experience. We called in the morning and were given appointments for three of us in the afternoon. The shop is very nice, open and bright. Once my pedicure began, it was quickly apparent that it was not what I had in mind. The man was very rough with the tools, leaving my foot cuticles sore. The various products like a scrub and maybe lotion was hardly used and what I'm guessing was meant to be a massage was a weird tapping and brushing motion on my feet. While technique may be up to interpretation, the results were not. Each toenail was a different shape, different lengths and filed at a different angle. The polish is lumpy and ragged around the edges. When I tried to clean it off my skin, the lady came over to correct me, saying that the oil they put on is so that excess polish comes off later. The manicure was just a polish change after putting my hands in room temp water for a minute. The polish is over my cuticles on some fingers, my nail shape is inconsistent and when she put lotion on my hands at the end, they were still gritty from filing my nails. They were completely over booked and people kept coming in with appointments while the lady apologized saying they were unexpectedly short handed. While I absolutely understand that can happen, I still expect the services I am paying for to be nice. Also, why did she make appointments for us if she didn't have time? We were clearly unhappy stating our nails were not smooth or even, but she didn't care. It is quite frustrating to have my fingernails and toenails snagging on my sweater and blanket, and feel embarrassed by the appearance after going to get them done. The little shop is recently renovated and feels new. I have the powder dip done and while my previous shop used acetone-soaked cotton balls with foil over my fingertips for 20-30 minutes, Lucky Nails paints on a remover over the nails. It's fast and doesn't leave me soaking in chemicals. Plus they were actually a little less than my last shop! They have 5-6 stations for pedicures which I plan to have soon. read more

We recently moved to the area and I have not gone to any other salons around here. I called around to get an appointment for a pedicure after I found out I had a surprised day off. Anyway, Lucky was the only one that had any availability, so I took it. Very disappointing. I really hope this isn't the standard for this area. I am used to a full treatment when paying the same amount I was charged, but all she did was soak my feet for a few minutes, clip and dig at my nails ( which I kept telling was hurting me) , a second of smoothing my heels with, paint on nails, done. read more

The new location was so nice and the staff were warm and welcoming. Everyone got in on time and we all got our nails done before a wedding. I got a manicure and pedicure as well as nail gel with a star design, as did my mother with gel on both feet and hands, and we enjoyed the service very much. I decided to give this place a try. I read terrible reviews about the pedicure.... They are rough, sloppy... expensive. Unfortunately it was true. I was greeted by Jackie. I told her about the reviews and that I was hoping to try out this new spot she was in. She seemed charming. A man attended to me and was sweet, however it was the quickest pedicure I have ever had.. I was charged 40 bucks. My feet looked dry, paint on my toes... when I mentioned this, Jackie reprimanded me for not saying something earlier. I really want to like this salon. It has great hours. The owners are really nice people. I gave them two tries. Same problems both times. There are a few things they could do to bring me back a third time: 1. Use towels 2. Soak nails prior to work 3. Groom cuticles 4. Use adequate layers of gel, polish 5. Use lotion 6. Slow down, pay attention, listen to requests 7. stop going back and forth between clients without handwashing. And, for the steep price charged, add in the standard hot wax and massage. not good at all i simply asked for a french tip square nails and every nail i got was a diffrent shape. and the tips looked like you she just took white nail polish and put it over the nail was charged 70 dollars for this. told the girl i didn't like them and she wouldn't fix them n slapped my hand when i didn't do exactly what she wanted. overall not a good experience and hasn't been the past times i went. would not recommend. read more

LUCKY IS RIGHT!!! I must say, round of applause for the service we received. We were looking for a Pedicure place around 6:30pm when all the places we're either closing or closed. We called Lucky nail Salon right before 7pm & they said they'd still take us! It was a wonderful place, just what we needed at the time. their company was lovely & they both did a fantastic job taking care of me & my buddies feet. We left feeling rejuvenated & blessed that they allowed us at such a late hour. 5 STAR SERVICE PS: Being a man who lives more then half his life running around barefoot in the garden etc.. I was a walk in customer. The lady took my name and I came back an hour and a half later. I thought I would see her. The other guy asked me sit. This was the worst pedi I have had in a long time. I was referred to this place by a long time Sequim resident who regularly gets both her manicures and pedicures here. My husband and I just moved here from San Diego, California and I wanted a clean salon with someone that could paint flowers on my big toes. Well, I scored!! This husband and wife team are awesome!! I had a wonderful pedicure from the husband (the massage portion was really great) and it was he who painted the beautiful flowers on my happy toes!!! This place is pretty bad even for a cheap nail salon. I came here a few months ago for a pedicure with a friend. They were definitely in a rush to get us in and out. Looking for a massage? It's not going to happen here. Exfoliating scrub? Nope. They won't even get the dead skin off your feet, they just lightly run the stone across your feet to give the illusion that they did something. I pretty much paid $25 for my feet to be soaked, nails cut and then painted. The worst part was the sanitation or lack of. The tools and foot rub looked like they had never seen a good cleaning in their life. My fears were confirmed when they took the same set of tools and started to do my friends pedicure. Worst nail experience I've ever had. I came in for a get fill for my acrylics as well as a new nail on my thumb wich had broke off a few days before. I picked my color and sat down as the women (I don't know her name) told me to put my nails in the lamp to "heat the polish" and I thought "uh okay.. never heard of that before" but I did it anyway. Then she took my right hand and started to file off my existing gel polish with the electric file. I have never had a technician be so rough while filing! She cut me up under both my thumbs, and used the electric file to push back my cuticles and god did it hurt. She was so careless it was unreal, not to mention the rush she seemed to be in to get me out of there. Anyway, that lasted pretty much up until she asked me to wash my hands and sent me to the man Next to her to get my nails painted. I was left with nail glue all over my hands (even in places no glue was used ) and my cuts under my thumbs were burning from the alcohol she used just before I got up. The man was a little gentler but left nail polish (gel polish) all over my fingers and didn't get the top coat on a few of my nails completely on there so I'm left with sticky sides and fuzz attacked to the sticky parts. 100% my first and LAST time ever going here. I left in such a bad mood not just because I paid $40 for the worst service I've experienced but because who wants to go to get their nails done, spend the little "me time" they have somewhere that keeps them tense the entire time they were expecting to be able to relax On top of leaving you in a worse mood then when you arrived ?? I have never in my life had such a horrible experience as I did at Lucky Nails. The only reason I am even giving them 1 star is because Yelp has yet to implement a negative star system, which would come in handy for this place. I just moved to Neah Bay, Wa and had to drive 2.5 hours just to get my nails done for my upcoming engagement pictures. When I first arrived I was seated next to another lady who had to share the same nail technician as me. Once she rushed through applying my full set and filling them into a horrible lopsided shape, she rushed through the poor lady next to me. When it was finally my "turn" again, she applied the gel polish with the skill of a 7 year old, not even letting it cure under the light for the full 2 minutes and getting it all over my cuticles- which were left & not cut. I also had a ton of super glue around my fingers. Also, as a licensed Esthetician I was in shock at how filthy the disinfectant jar was, as it had obviously not been cleaned it a while due to the massive amounts of floating skin and nails in it. Needless to say that was an absolute waste of $40 and I will not be back. read more

Horrible is the only word to describe this place. I happened to be there when a person from the licensing bureau was there and I am not sure how this place even passed. They cleaned the tub thoroughly in his presence, even cleaned the inside pipes to the tub per his directions but as soon as he left they just sprayed windex on the other tub.... then the guy that did my pedicure gouged my toenails so bad they actually bled and I feel like I am getting an ingrown toenail. Shame on me for trying to save a buck and shame on them for not caring about the cleanliness and quality of service. read more

Word of advice, don't ever get your nails done here. 1. They are misleading. For a full set of nails it's only $28 but then if you get colored nails it's an extra $7.
