Walk ins accepted but they'd be my last resort and technically WAS. Just wanted classic short frenchies, my nails came out pretty cute but no gloves was kind of an issue, but I thought maybe they wash their hands frequently, unfortunately not. On top of that they were on their phones doing god know what, at one point all the ladies doing nails just dropped what they were doing on all of us and went on their phones for 5 minutes, tf? And 75 dollars plus tip, my heart fell out of my asshole when she said 75. Mind you, California nails ain't even that expensive. Most I've paid for was 55 before tip! Cuticles were also done badly, literally all butchered like chicken meat, retention wise wasn't bad. Wouldn't go again, I would rather book an appointment a year out somewhere else than go to them for walk-ins or in general. read more

Pros: Lots of space. Lots of color options. Free water bottle. Friendly staff. And definitely get the gel pedicure if you can. The pedicures are really great and treat yourself to the #3 option, which gets you a nice foot and leg massage with hot stones and paraffin wax. Cons: I got a manicure, asked for shellac because of my work. The prep and cleaning of my nails was pretty good. The disappointment came in the nail polish. Multiple bubbles, rough edges when applied, missed spots of the side of my nail. I hate asking for touch ups but I'm kind of particular when it comes to my fingernails. I kept pointing out the flaws and hoping some easy fixes could be made. Instead, the nail tech tried putting an extra coat of clear nail polish, but it obviously doesn't fix the problem. I ended up removing the nail polish on my fingernails all together when I got home because it looked bad and I couldn't salvage it. Really disappointed :( next time if I come here, I think I'll stay with pedicures and/or gel fingernails, too. read more

I would give this place a zero if I could. After making an appointment for 2 mani & 2 pedi's with a request to be worked on together for a dear friends wedding. Not only were we NOT seated together but the brides nails had to basically redone, This appointment took 5 HOURS! it was absolutely unacceptable and the cost was almost $300 with tip. I will never go to Sequim Nails again, and you should think twice if you need your services done in a timely manor. read more

Sadly, I won't be returning to Sequim Nails. My friend and I were getting ready to go on vacation and had made appointments for mani/pedi's with certain nail techs (due to previous experiences) but when we arrived we were put with the same techs we were trying to avoid. The end results were less than desirable, even after expressing our concerns. Please be aware... two of the nail tech's use nail files after the nail gel has been cured, which results in premature chipping. read more

Recently moved to Sequim and needed to find somewhere to get my toes done! I look forward to a pedicure it's my little treat to myself. Unfortunately Sequim nails did not make me feel welcome. I tried calling multiple times on different days no answer. I decided to just show up when they open. On a Tuesday morning. lol they asked if I had an appointment and I said no due to them not answering there phone. There was a looooooong dramatic pause and I felt as if I wasn't going to be helped. After a couple minutes and then talking amongst themselves the gentleman sat me down. And from the start to finish I did not feel welcomed nor relaxed. I made an appointment for a gel manicure. Super, nice and efficient staff. Manicure was nice (had hoped for hand massage). I chose a gel polish to my what shellac I had on my toes already. Cut on cuticle still hurts after two days. On time for mani/pedi appt at 5:00 pm. Was ushered from chair at 6:55 pm. Toenails were pampered and painted. Fingernails were unpainted and weren't filed, just roughly cut. At the time I thought the nails would be filed before getting painted. Women in next chair kept widening her eyes in disbelief at the way I was treated at the end of the appointment while I was being ushered from the chair. I am a big tipper and started pulling money out to tip then saw the other customer's incredulity at what was happening and thought, "What am I thinking?." Nail technician was in a huge rush; she cut my cuticles. Cut on cuticle on other hand healed nicely and isn't painful at all. I was charged as if my fingernails had been filed. I don't often make reviews but I felt this salon's overall rating on here doesn't at all represent the experience I had here. This place was great! My mom and I came in yesterday for the first time and we will definitely be back. I usually am one to get one solid color and never ask for anything more, but this time I asked for a French manicure but with the tips all being different colors. At first the woman doing my nails tried to sell me on dipped nails as opposed to gel but once she understood I really wanted different colors she agreed gel was best and didn't push me on something else. I'm not one to ruffle feathers or speak up much but I knew what I wanted this time and I really enjoyed working with the woman doing my nails, I think maybe she's the owner. My mom got her typical manicure and pedicure and she ultimately didn't like the color of her toenail polish. Her tech could tell she was unhappy and offered to switch it out free of charge if she could just wait a few minutes as it was pretty busy at the time despite having an appointment. I thought the attention to the mood and reactions of their clients was great and I really appreciated being seen and not just rushed along and upsold as has been my experience in many other places. Sometimes the nails turned out good and other times they didn't. A lot depended on the person doing the work.

I made an appointment for a reason - which was confirmed by the salon by phone call the day before - because MY time is valuable. Apparently, the salon doesn't think so. I waited 25 minutes past my appointment time (not including arriving ten minutes prior), and not once, but TWICE, the tech left the table to take care of whatever.... Cuticle care AND under the nail are both a part of a manicure, which she did not do although I did say something - she did her thing and that was that. Although the tech did a good job of painting the nails, the fill itself was left wanting in that the filing and final smoothing was not good in that the fill need to be to all edges of the nail (tip AND sides) and, the filing was cursory and not smooth. I have had acrylic nails since 1987 almost continuously and have had a multitude of nails techs over the years as I've moved around so yes, I do know what I'm talking about. If I could fill my own nails I would; however, I have long considered this my "pamper time/downtime". Paying a ridiculous $42 for the fill is excessive, especially since it was not a proper manicure by industry standards. I felt that I as a customer, was just another job to do and certainly not a priority nor felt comfortable. I will NOT be going back to this salon. I obviously have to find a salon in Port Angeles fifteen miles away as there are no other salons in Sequim that fill acrylic nails. read more

I read the great reviews and phoned before arriving. I gave my name and was told to arrive in 30 minutes. I did and still had to wait 15 minutes before being seen. The women I had, who I doubt was Lisa or any of the other manicurists who were raved about by other reviewers, was very rude. She frequently grabbed my hands abruptly and the cuticle work she did was painful. At one point she brushed her hand against a newly painted nail and in her broken English scolded me for not positioning my hand properly. She wasn't friendly at all and was put off when I asked her to repeat herself because I could barely understand her. My gel nails were also too thick and bulged at the cuticle. I just came from this salon. I left before I was finished. I went for a gel manicure. The woman (never told me her name) hardly spoke to me, but instead chattered away in her native tongue to the other employees. She left the remover on my nails for over 20 minutes. Then they were so soft, the filing was poor. They were crooked and when I asked her to fix it, she didn't understand. Then she handed me the emeryboard to do it myself. Come on! My cuticle was rough, it was so unprofessional!! The worst part were her nails. They were yellowed, with areas of green fungus. Disgusting! I do not know how they got a 5star rating. I am disappointed that I have to edit my previously good review. I went to Sequim Nails for the first time last week. I had a pedicure and a powder dip manicure. The gentleman who works there did my pedicure and I felt that that was a good service, and I was happy with the results. My manicure, however, is a different story. It should be noted that the place is understaffed and they schedule too many appointments at once. The nail technicians try to do several peoples nails at one time, and I find that pretty unprofessional. I had my dip manicure done, and the woman who did it did take her time and make sure they were dry before I left. So I felt good about that. The next day, I noticed that there were what appeared to be fracture lines under the top clear layer. Throughout the week they got progressively worse and started to look truly terrible. Just days after getting the manicure. I went back to show her and she told me to come back to get them fixed. I just got them fixed yesterday, and I was frustrated that before I left the technician kept saying "you be careful with your nails" as if the cracks in them were my fault. It's the day after they have been fixed and they are cracking again. I will be buying my own dipping powder and learning how to do this myself from now on. I looked up why this cracking might be happening and it looks like it is a technique issue. The way you hold the brush for clear coats is super important. I hope that the technician will take this feedback, do some research, and try to improve her technique instead of accusing the client of not being careful with their nails. I used to love Sequim Nails. Not anymore. I've booked several appointments and I always have to wait 15-30 minutes for anyone to get started. They book several appointments for the same time and do not have enough people to service everyone. I used to do a mani pedi, then due to time I switched to just a gel mani, then just quit going after the gel nails were so thick I couldn't pick anything up and then chipped off after 4 days! Their prices are getting higher and higher and the quality of service is getting lower and lower. Sad because I enjoyed their cute place. read more

Today I had a young girl who never made eye contact, seemed bored, yawned at least a dozen times, did the bare minimum and used the wrong color. I was so disappointed I did not correct her. Hardly any nail care. Never said thank you or goodbye. Took my money and walked away without a word. Nice environment and seemed very clean. I very much wanted this to be my pedicure home. The pedicure was for my 84 year old father, they put his feet to soak for almost 40 minutes as they tried to cram as many people in the work window possible. First time here was so dramatically different. That was timely, responsive and kind. This fifth time in was rough, cold and made him feel as not an important client. I had to request cuticle trimming, which was otherwise not going to be done, and then had to go to another salon to have this service completed properly. We watched the staff thoroughly clean and disinfect every seat in the salon when someone left and they were diligent about asking health questions and checking temperatures. They even have plexiglass barriers installed at each nail and pedicure station. The pedicure itself was incredible! The massage was so thorough and heavenly and my toes look great! I have seen the owner many times in several salons with good results. For the past several appointments, however, the service has deteriorated. I had an appointment for a manicure and pedicure on July 5, 2022. At the end of my manicure she yelled at me to MOVE, MOVE to a pedicure station. I told I wanted to stay at the station until my manicure was complete. A client had just walked in, and she wanted to give my station to her. She picked up my jewelry and dropped my expensive watch on its face. Then moved me to a pedicure station to put on a top coat and balance the curing lights on my legs. The owner is overbooked and will start several clients at the same time. I have had to wait well over an hour waiting for her to finish a service for someone else.
