Hopefully they've improved over the years because I literally got the worst haircut of my life there and would never go back! The owner did my hair, seemed annoyed with something before I got there, didn't listen to me at all when I said "low maintenance" and gave me a cut that required several products and lots of time to maintain - it was hideous! I got a badly needed haircut and full foil by Alena today. She did an AMAZING job on my very thin, fine, severely damaged and over-processed hair. I have medium length dirty blonde hair. My roots had grown in and my ends were pretty badly splitting so I booked an appointment. First off, Alena was extremely friendly and personable! She made me very relaxed, even though I had a massive migraine. She took her time and didn't rush - I asked her to chop off my split ends, but to keep as much hair as possible. She recommended something shorter than I would have liked - but I trusted her opinion, and it was actually perfect, with not nearly as much trimmed off as I thought! She did a fantastic job with my highlights too, making sure not to further damage my hair but still giving me the sunny bump I was looking for. It was a great experience and their prices are extremely fair! I will be back again in 8 weeks! read more

Kaboom Salon, and specifically, Alena was recommended to me. I'm a recent transplant to Sequim and was in need of a professional stylist and skilled colorist. Alena fits both descriptions to a tee! She listened carefully to my desired outcome, shorter cut and need for more natural coloring. She took notes on my hair tribulations: fine hair, uncooperative flatness and coloring habit of going orange. I was pleased when Alena explained what her plan was for accomplishing my requests. I was thrilled with her abilities to give me exactly what I wanted. I went in for my first time and loved it! They are social distancing and masking up and still able to be running a wonderful place. I went in to see Danielle and she was awesome. I told her what I was thinking and she gave me custom info on my hair type, ways to play with it, and what kinds of cuts work best with my hair. She's very knowledgeable and fun. I had to wait 6 weeks for my first appt. I went 3 times. I really like my hair color done in a weave of silver, light and dark grey. but I had to wait another 5 weeks to get back in for a touch up, but the day of my appt. Alena canceled due to tooth problem, said she would get all those she canceled booked back in asap.I tried to call and texted to get booked by no response. Well 10 days later I finally herd back from her saying she can't see me until mid Jan. It's nov, 18th. So I am very disappointed to say the least. I will have to look for another salon since this one just can't seem to handle there volume of customers. Waiting months to get in is just not acceptable. read more

Alena is amazing- and so is my hair. I am beyond happy with the experience, the price and the results of my visit with her at Kaboom. She patiently listened to me to determine what exactly I wanted...and then she spent hours coloring and highlighting my hair- I don't know the exact language or procedures but I went from a very yellow bleached blond look to the start of a natural salt and pepper blond that will allow me to let my hair go naturally gray while looking stylish! She also cut my hair and I love that too! She is not only very professional and skilled but a really nice and pleasant young woman. I am so happy I found her!! read more

Eve does amazing hair, Erika and Erica do amazing lashes, and Tonie is the best nail tech in town. The boutique is super cute too! Everyone here is super nice AND super talented. The review stating poor customer service baffles me, as I have been coming here for years and have never experienced or witnessed anyone being less than pleasant or attentive. Some people just can't be pleased or just need to complain I guess. If you're in the Sequim or PA area, you have to check this place out! read more

Alena is amazing! I came out here from CA to visit family for a few months and needed my hair done BADLY, and was amazed that I found such a talented stylist in this little town. Where to begin? I first called to schedule an appointment back in June. No one returned my call. In early August, I tried booking an appointment online. Had no idea it didn't "save." Went to my appointment today...the little gal behind the desk looked at the I-pad and announced I wasn't showing up. NO APOLOGY, NO OFFER TO RESCHEDULE my appointment. I'm savvy with online scheduling. Their customer service is beyond poor. Obviously, they don't need the business. I hope the owner, Eve, reads these reviews. Your office help needs to try harder. Felt like i was invisible although i was only a few feet away. Common courtesy says make eye contact, say hello. If you are busy, say you will be with the person shortly.
