The moment I called in for take-out, I was already disappointed by the fact that they don't provide rice with their curry dish. You have to pay for rice separately. I've never been to a restaurant that did not provide rice with curry. They charge $1.50 for rice and I still bought the rice and curry, but then I was more disappointed that they didn't even give that much rice. Their take out food is given in really cheap styrofoam for their hot food! They don't even line it with foil. So the styrofoam is slightly melted because of the hot food which is unhealthy. It just makes them look like penny pinchers and have no pride in their food and customers. The food is just ok, but depending on what you get it could be just bland. I hope they realize the smallest things can make a huge impact on their business. read more

Couldn't decide what to eat tonight. When driving by the little restaurant looked quaint and cozy. So we gave it a try. I would definitely come back again. I've been staying with my parents during the recent craziness of COVID-19, and like most foodies, I find comfort in a delicious meal. I ordered Thai from Lucky Kitchen to sate my cravings and my mind through DoorDash this past Friday. The delivery driver easily found our location and dropped the order at the door with very minimal contact. The meal was very carefully packaged, and included all needed utensils and pre-wrapped straws. My order consisted of the Pad See Ew Noodles and a Thai Iced Tea. Lucky Kitchen's Pad See Ew was similar to what you'd get at most Thai locations: thick rice noodles, yummy soy sauce, broccoli, fried egg, spinach, mushrooms, and thick slices of chicken. This plate was HUGE, I actually had it for leftovers twice! It's time to come together and support our local community! This quaint Thai restaurant is located in the Target shopping center off Limonite and the 15. Lots of parking and lots to do in this center from shopping, movies and of course eating! The service is good- friendly, attentive and efficient. Its clean and it seems there are alot of regulars here and a lot of take out orders too. They were pretty busy even on a Monday nite. We ordered Tom Yum chicken and veggies- has a bit of a kick to it and perfect if you are feeling under the weather. We also ordered the Pad Thai beef- nothing special but still good. My favorite dishes were the #6 Garlic eggplant with tofu- super delicious and cooked perfectly where the tofu and egg plant were tender, not soggy and seasoned well. We also ordered #13 Gai Pad Grapao. Its basically ground or chopped chicken prepared with delicious seasonings and basil. I removed 1 star only because the portions are a bit on the small side and prices high. For the hot pot soup- it can be shared with 3 at the most and for the entrees perhaps 4. Despite the portions and price- I would still come back. Perhaps the best Thai food in the area! read more

Today I had the beef short ribs but the waaaaay too chewy I told the server but she just smiled and said "ok" I also tried the appetizer of fried tofu but it was soooo hot the tofu was like melted cheese... not a fan. This is the first time I have been here. I ordered chicken pad thai and Tom Yum soup with coconut & chicken (their version of Tom Kha). The pad thai was like your average pad thai that you can get at a normal thai place. Nothing special but still had good flavor. Their Tom Kha was not tasty at all. Didn't even taste close to any average Tom Kha. Tasted very watery. I got chicken for both the pad thai & the soup and it did not taste like real chicken!! I was kind of grossed out by that. I feel like they just put some frozen chicken in the microwave then just tossed it in. I ended up just throwing the chicken to the side & in the trash because I couldn't even fully chew some of it. The only thing that I would give the 2 stars to is the pad thai noodle flavoring LOL but thats it. Maybe get shrimp or another meat, but DONT GET THE CHICKEN!! (Look at my pic) I originally wanted to order from Little Budda but somehow I accidentally ordered from here so thats my mistake but I most likely won't be coming here again. Small quaint restaurant. The location is great, and the appearance of the outside is nice. The decor was basic, but it did have that good comfy feel. It's a great place to come with a group of 4 but not larger groups. The space is limited and you are literally touching your neighbor siting behind you. The food was tasty. Service was fast, but after the food was out they were not attentive. The sweet and sour chicken as delicious, and so was the golden tofu was SCRUMPTIOUSLY DELIGHTFUL and the quality of the tofu was prime. As I was cutting into the tofu with my fork, it immediately sunk right thru (meaning the texture was just right) from the crispy but light surface to the almost a marshmallow texture oh so good. The Pineapple Chicken Fried Rise was just ok, honestly we have had better quality fried rice. This fried rice had a taste of old rise that was either cooked the day before or earlier in the day and was just reheated. I was not happy with it. The green curry was tasty but again was not to quality standards. We had dinner with some friends so the atmosphere was nice because we were engaged into our conversation but the waitress never came back to pick up our plates until it was almost time for us to leave. So that made things a bit uncomfortable because we had plates all over our table. We would come back, but we would not order the fried rice or curry again. We would surely order the golden tofu. The restrooms were fairly clean so that was a great thing. Hopefully next time we are back, the waitstaff steps up there game with the attentive service. Food here is good but a tad pricey.. the reviews here either likes it or hates it depending on the food ordered and how they were served that day. It may look like your average neighborhood Asian food joint, but Lucky kitchen is anything but! I wandered in with my wife and son on a Friday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and incredible aroma asian food. The restaurant was filling up quickly (it was almost 7:00 pm) but we managed to snag a table outside. We ordered the garlic Broccoli beef and fried rice to share. The garlic beef were bombs of buttery, yeasty goodness, and the garlic was robust but not overpowering. When our Fried rice arrived, our expectations continued to be exceeded. The Fried rice were packed with flavor, and the rice had a great consistency and very little oil. By the end of the meal we were planning our next visit. Don't let appearances fool you the decor may be divey, but the food are fantastic. This place is perfect for groups or a casual date night. read more
