Today's lunch turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. Almost our next-door neighbor, Eastvale has grown quite rapidly in the past decade. This city has developed into a very respectable, well planned bedroom community and offers many options for dining out. Unfortunately, most are big chain restaurants. Finding a really delicious, authentic, family-run Chinese cafe was not something I had anticipated, but here it is! This is in a small storefront location. They have been in business for nearly 8 years. Looking at it from the aspect of a Yelp average star rating, I had not been that impressed, but then, looking at their most recent reviews and prolific menu, I had to rethink my first impressions. The non-cookie cutter menu and very extensive offerings gave me clues. I decided a visit would help answer questions on how such a tiny place could support such a huge menu. We settled on 3 dishes. It was really hard with so many options. Pork Feet with Pickled Pepper, a non-conventional dish, turned out to be fabulous with its spicy jalapeños, orange peppers, fresh ginger, and garlic. Any Filipino, which coincidently includes my husband, knows that pigs' feet can be a real delicacy when done right. Expect a lot of bone (of course), but the tendon and meat were soft and brimming with flavor. I usually resist eating anything with hot peppers, but the spicy heat disappeared fairly quickly and left only the sensational taste of the other mouth-watering aromatics. This was a very oily dish, but that is also what made the sauce so darn good. Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce. Rather than order a full order a la carte, I went with a lunch portion, aka Lunch #16. Lunch includes a small cup of soup (today's was a delicious, thickened egg flower soup with corn), a vegetable-filled eggroll, and cup of steamed rice. I loved the corn soup and did not expect the crispy eggroll to be as good as it actually was. Eggroll is usually a poorly executed, space holder on mediocre, fast food lunch plates. This one was freshly cooked and really good. The entree, tender, unbattered chunks of white fish, was nicely prepared with bell pepper, onion, garlic, and fermented black bean. It made me very happy. Chow Fun with Beef. Delicious! The thinly sliced beef was very tender, and had that delicate, smokey wok hay flavor I love. I would not hesitate to recommend it. If I had one wish, it would be for them to use less oil in their cooking. The flavors were delicious but too rich. I'm sure they could accommodate my preference and still have a dish with a great outcome. And to sort of answer my question about how they handle such an extensive menu, the kitchen was commandeered by a single, hard working chef this particular day. I am in awe. I have no qualms about returning. This is a great alternative to driving into LA and Orange County to find great, non-Americanized Chinese food. Just don't come between 3 and 4 pm, because they give themselves a lunch break. FYI, I asked before we left if they stay open for the holidays, like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years. Typically no one dine in here but a lot of togos. There's only one server it takes her awhile to serve us because she was busy with the togo orders and the phone ringing. Having hot water for tea also takes awhile so tell her earlier! The food was amazing though. Especially the three cup chicken. I usually order other chicken but this one was extremely delicious! Pretty great food and atmosphere, it's very Chinese and has a welcoming vibe. The staff aren't the most approachable people but overall they do their job nicely. The cleanliness is good in the tables and around there, but from the visible preparation area that's visible were the person that serves people works, it doesn't look like the most professional or clean place. read more

When we first moved into Eastvale and tried this place, it was a no go for us but after 2+ years we gave it another shot and the food has been consistently good. Maybe they switched chef's? Our favorite dish is the pork with bamboo shoots. It is very tasty... a little greasy so we can't eat it often but it hits the spot every time. My kids love their orange chicken here so sometimes we stop by just to get this to go. Their spicy fish with pickled veggies is also delicious and comes in big portions. Always love their food. The prices have gotten more expensive (as has the rest of the world) but the quality has never been compromised. Food is made fresh so it can be a bit of a wait but I don't mind. Honest and hardworking staff. I always recommend this spot to friends and family. read more

I called 10 minutes before I arrive so that my food is not sitting there waiting for me. A lady named Ding ding is very patient with my order. When I arrived. I was greeting with a smile. (She is only here on Sunday). I ordered the noodles with fried shrimp and scramble egg and taste awesome. Those who like spicy, add some spicy/chili sauce on it ! The restaurant is a bit secluded in a quiet shopping center--small but clean. The young lady who served us was friendly and attentive. We ordered Mongolian beef (delicious! Sweet onion), pork chow mein (a lot of fat, but so good!, Chingqing chicken (spicy!!), Kung pao (yummy!). But everything was super yummy and fresh and worth a try I'm so happy to finally try this place after looking at this page on yelp for so long. This place is great! Excellent food and quality, and great service. We tried the Wor Winton Soup- which has chicken breast, shrimp, vegetables, and wontons. It is great. Their menu is extensive, lots of choices! ---mapo tofu: wasn't packed in a liquid tight container, so some contents spilled into the bag but the flavor was addicting! Hidden gem in Eastvale for authentic schezwan Chinese food. Almost all the food we tried were legit. Spice levels are awesome. The fish in spicy sauce and chongquing chicken is a must try. We've been on a mission to try highly-rated nearby restaurants, but unfortunately, none were worth a second visit--until we discovered W Cafe, surprisingly, a hidden gem that isn't even top-ranked by reviewers. Yesterday, we ordered five takeout dishes, and my entire family absolutely loved the meal. I haven't been this genuinely happy over delicious food in a long time! What truly sets these dishes apart is the intense, high-heat "wok aroma"--a quality I recall being a hallmark of great restaurant cooking, but one that has become increasingly rare. This is one of the first businesses we visited when we moved over, and very much recommend it for a filling meal. Located near a medical building, there's plenty of parking. Same center as CVS, just on the other side of the shopping center. Behind the Starbucks and Jack in the Box. We've done both to-go orders and dine-in. Haven't had issues with any food, and they do prep the foods to-go very nicely: things are separated out so that the food items aren't too soggy when we get it home. In terms of food, their traditional Chinese dishes are good. However, hubby and I have preferred their staples (e.g., chow mein, fried rice, egg rolls), and definitely order it when we need some sort of comfort food. Prices are okay. Food overall has been just more expensive, but it's reasonable to eat at W Cafe, as we tend to have leftovers afterwards. read more

Although you may not see all the classic authentic Chinese dishes from China or Hong Kong, the food is very tasty and has that authentic Hong Kong wok hei flavor. I believe that owners are from Shenzhen, China. Prices are reasonable and the establishment is clean and well maintained. I recommend this place. read more

Was craving Chinese food and my sister found this little restaurant for our family to try. (Located next to Juice it up, it can easily be missed as the building signage says "Chinese food" not W cafe) We ordered quite a few items, we started with Hot and sour soup- it came out piping hot, filled with mushrooms, tofu and bamboo shoots. Next was the Black pepper pork chops, shrimp with lobster sauce, shrimp fried rice, house special pan fried noodles (chicken beef and shrimp) and the kung pao tofu. Each item came out one by one, at different times as they are made to order. My favorite was the Kung pao tofu. I requested for additional spice as usual ;) The tofu was crispy on the outside, spongy on the inside and perfectly coated in the savory kung pao sauce. Yum! Service was great! The worst customer service and restaurant experience I have ever experienced in my life, and I have been on this earth for over half a century. Not once but twice I had the same negative experience. I placed the order online via their website. I arrived at the restaurant at the estimated time my order would be ready per their order confirmation. It was not, and they had me waiting an hour after I arrived. I inquired about the status of my order every so often, and they told me it was in process. I finally had enough when customers that arrived after me ordered and got their orders before me. Their excuse, they are too busy and my order was too large (5 items). Ridiculous, you can't pick and choose after accepting the order. The chef was very rude, which added fuel to the fire. It really took a lot of restraint on my side not to do something I regretted legally. I can not recommend this restaurant, and they will never get my business again. You know what they say. I love this local unassuming Chinese restaurant serving standard Chinese American cuisine as well as more authentic Chinese regional dishes (spicy as well). I personally enjoy spicy food so I come here mainly for their Ma Po Tofu as well as the Spicy Boiled Fish. Another highly recommended dish (and a personal favorite) is the Shrimp with Scrambled Egg. But pretty much everything is great here, and not just the food! This is a great small Chinese restaurant with a lot of different dishes that are outside of your normal Chinese-American fast food places. It's cooked to order so do be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes. It seems there's only 1 person in the front who is also the server. So when I called into order, nobody was answering at 2 different times. However, the restaurant was open. My favorites are the salt and spicy fish fillets, the fish fillet with bean sauce, and their pan-fried noodles were great! For measure, my MIL is from Shanghai and she enjoyed a couple of the dishes! Also, the inside of the restaurant isn't meant for large groups or "family style." The most they can do is put 2 tables together to have a table for 8. FIVE STARS! This place is the best! We walked in a hot day, wanting to have a small meal. We were originally interested in the different kinds of intestine dishes, but our server graciously pointed out the Three Cups Chicken, and it was incredible. The chicken was soft, rich and flavorful with a distinct sauce that cannot be replicated. We also got the cucumber with garlic sauce, which they DID NOT skimp out on! This cucumber dish is deceivingly simple, but surprisingly fresh and packs a powerful flavor punch with the amount of garlic it's loaded with.
