Typically no one dine in here but a lot of togos. There's only one server it takes her awhile to serve us because she was busy with the togo orders and the phone ringing. Having hot water for tea also takes awhile so tell her earlier! The food was amazing though. Especially the three cup chicken. I usually order other chicken but this one was extremely delicious! Pricing is very decent for the portion too!

W Cafe has one of the cheapest and tastiest lunch special around the area (not my first encounter) I decided to do a take out today since they are closing at 3:00pm. I called 10 minutes before I arrive so that my food is not sitting there waiting for me. A lady named Ding ding is very patient with my order. When I arrived. I was greeting with a smile. (She is only here on Sunday). I ordered the noodles with fried shrimp and scramble egg and taste awesome. Those who like spicy, add some spicy/chili sauce on it ! You will not be disappointed. disappointed. They have music going on in the background if you dine in, making it pretty relaxing.

Everything was really good. It was refreshing to find a place this close to home that actually hit the spot--even my parents thought it was good, which says a lot. We usually end up driving out to Rowland Heights for Chinese food, so having something like this down the street in Corona is nice. The pan fried shao mai was probably the surprise favorite for me since I've never had it prepared that way before. The xiao long bao wrapper was a little thicker than what I'm used to, but it was still good. Honestly, nothing we ordered disappointed. Food came out pretty quickly too, so even though there's usually a line, it moves faster than you'd expect.

I didn't even bother to write a review at that time, but had submitted five photos, some good, others not, that told the tale. So this time, with some trepidation, we gave them a second chance. Glad we did. This time was different. Two dishes, the black bean ribs and the salt & pepper pork chops, turned out great. Not only did they have good flavor, both dishes were quite generous and meaty. And if we had stopped ordering right there, I wouldn't have had any reason to drop a star. It was the dim sum that almost ruined it. The siu mai (8 pcs) were small and oddly fishy tasting, lacking the traditional aromatics. One bite and I knew there was no way I would continue eating them. No reason to bring them home either. Was I willing to just throw away my $13? No. Disappointed, I bravely told the server, and then, the manager. I got a "deer in the headlights" response, followed with a "what's wrong with it" query. Awkward moment. But, minutes later, the server returned from the back kitchen, and the most miraculous, unexpected thing happened. She said they would take it off my bill! Honestly, I was not expecting any resolution. But in wisely doing this, they frankly rescued the situation and my attitude. I respected that one gracious gesture. So, while the siu mai will still never be anything I order here, there is a vast menu to explore, and a few dishes I already know will not let me down. Two of these were from our first time, the char siu baos and the shrimp with scrambled egg. These were good. That said, this is a decent business that proved they wanted my business. We will come back.

Tonight we got their mixed meat and shrimp over fried noodle. Absolute love this dish. Packed with flavor and not too salty. Also got their eggplant with tofu. Surprising this dish was quite delicious. Not too salty and quite savory. Totally get this again. Usually we get their eggplant with garlic sauce and it's quite filling. Too bad it doesn't come with a side of rice for to go orders. Will be back again soon!

There were a lot of neat topping options that you can add to your bowl like a little fortune bag which I assume is made from tofu skin and a fish paste. I got the original broth (the first one) and I thought it was a little less flavorful than the other places I've been to but they have a lot of sauce options that you can dip your food into so it was still good. I also thought the pricing was really good compared to other places. My bowl was around 1.4 lbs and it was $21. After you're done eating you go to pay at the register which is also the one you go to to weigh your bowl before you sit down. There was another customer waiting to weigh his bowl while we were waiting to pay so the line situation was a little awkward. Not a big deal at all but I can see how it might get confusing on a busy day. Overall this place was pretty good and closer to where I live than a lot of other places so I would definitely come back!
