Falcon punch is excellent! Overlooks water, so stunning and beautiful! Great staff. Very green everywhere! BABE'S BURGER MAKES THE BEST SALAD IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! 12/10

Very nice brewery with a solid beer selection. I really enjoyed my strawberry wheat and hubby likes their English ale and IPA. Nice relaxing atmosphere, kid and pet friendly. They also have an ordering window for burgers and fries (Babe's burger). Burgers are not cheap ($15-$18, doesn't come with fries, need to be ordered separately) but are tasty and made fresh. They also have board games you can sit and play. We love visiting here when we are in the area.

Awesome brewery with fantastic views. Laid back vibe with a knowledgeable bartender. Great selection and all 4 of the beers on the flight were top notch and as described. Burgers that are a separate entity on site were tasty. Sweet potato fries are not to be missed. Two thumbs up.

Large fries with ketchup and babe sauce from Babe's Burgers. Definitely order them! They were amazing.

Favorite FLX brewery! The beer is always delicious and the view is great. We rotate between sitting inside and throwing a frisbee outside. They are always very friendly, especially to our dog. The owner, Ian, is an Eagles fan and talk to us on our first visit years ago. We've come back every year since on our anniversary trip.

The view from Watkins!

The new location in Watkins Glen is amazing! The service, food and ambience were all A+. Curtis and Gwen were top notch. It was so good, we had to come back twice during our visit! Must go here when in Watkins Glen. We are long time customers of the Hector location which is also fabulous and has Babe's burger...my fave burger!! Watkins location offers a different menu that is really good. But I do love a Babe's burger! The cocktails in Watkins are phenomenal. You can't go wrong with either location!

Great fall ale, fall Moscow Mule. Burgers and sweet potato fries are delicious. Wonderful scenery.

Great range of beer flavors. Food was very good and very large portions! Worth the stop. Ate on the deck watching the sunset over the lake.

Great place, great people, beer, cornhole, food, fun all with a beautiful view of the lake. Love the logo and the fun part is the names of the craft beer with clues in the bottom of the can

Didn't eat while we were here, but it smelled great!

Almost didn't stop here because it was a bit out of the way that we were going, but I'm glad we did! It was nicely busy, and has great views of the lake from the back covered/enclosed patio. The food smelled good too!

Really cool spot to visit in the Finger Lakes region! We actually stopped here since they were one of the only places opened late, and we are so glad we did. They have a great selection of different types of beer, something for everyone. The service was great, the gentleman behind the bar was very informative and friendly. He was even able to give us some great suggestions of other places to visit on our trip. Social distancing was properly enforced, and everyone was required to wear a mask. They have growlers if you'd like to take some beer to go, and a few selections of to-go cans. Definitely a great place to stop by if you are in the area.

Pretzels and beer

Late Sunday afternoon, drove over to this unassuming brewery which looks like a re-purposed home. Tight parking off on the road, but overall picturesque area. Despite the taproom being cramped, was a welcome sight to see the furry friends walking around. Had two beers: the Falcon Punch ($6) - a hazy balanced IPA and the Milk Milk ($5) - a more crisp dark beer. Had some pretzels to go along with the brews and was able to secure one of the few tables in the room. Definitely would be more spacious here in the warmer months, but overall a good low-key brewery.

Great beers and offered a sampling of local cider. We came at night, but they have a terrace that would offer great views of the lake!

Some fine brews here. Unpretentious and tasty. Well worth seeking out when in the Finger Lakes and on the east side of Seneca in Hector, NY

I highly recommend starting with the cheese plate. We only chose to do the single but the star is all the things that accompany it! For $12 a great value! For our meals, Schweety had the burger with a side salad and i had the Crispy Chicken entree. He really liked his! The salad portion of my meal was excellent, I would have preferred the chicken to be a little less crispy as it took away from the flavor of the chicken. Justin was a great server and gave some recommendation for our explorations in the area

No one else sat at the communal talk with us. We enjoyed being able to see into the kitchen at this table. We ordered the calamari, a burger and a crab cake sandwich. Delicious! The burger was perfect. The crab cake was good, but not in my top 5 crab cakes I've ever eaten. The calamari was yummy. The service was impeccable. Would have tried a dessert, but the servings were so ample, there was no room. My husband got the tap and spirit duo and he liked the cider so much he got another cider. I liked that the noise level was not too loud. You can have a normal conversation. Ambiance is really wonderful. Glad we stopped in.

I really enjoyed Bar Argos. The place was totally empty, which is to expected at that time. Bar Argos is definitely a vibe. Think: antique chic with a touch of eccentric elegance. Ornate chairs, old-school lamps, and fancy mismatched furniture are scattered throughout, making you feel like you've wandered into a vintage movie set where cocktails play a leading role. There are multiple rooms, including one with a long table and huge windows that let the light spill in dramatically. I was lowkey stunned by how pretty it all was. Girlfriend and I shared the Clarified Lassi ($13), which is under the "Delightfully Unusual" section of their cocktail spectrum - right in between "Colloquial" and "What?!" It was fruity, creamy, and weird in a cool, sophisticated way. My Hotelie friend later explained in the car (upon mention of the drink) that clarified cocktails use a process where milk is added to a mixed drink and then curdled on purpose. The curds trap impurities, and when you strain them out, you're left with a crystal-clear drink that still has the creamy mouthfeel. Definitely checks out with the Clarified Lassi that we drank... Overall, the experience felt like stepping into a fancy secret. 10/10 would come back, undoubtedly!!

We stumbled in and learned they had just opened like a week prior - amazing timing for us! While it would have been cool to see the actual winery, this location was so convenient for us, and it was great to be able to cash in our coupons here. The space, as mentioned, was brand new and beautiful. I loved the exposed brick near and around the bar, and the quasi stained glass lighting was a unique touch. The wine bar is accompanied by a small shop where you can not only purchase wine but also buy locally made goods and a "make your own bouquet" area! A wonderful touch. We sat at the bar to enjoy a few tastings, and we were served by the owner (love when owners actually interact with customers and play the role of servers!). We enjoyed learning his story (originally from near Philly, so an automatic connection), hearing about this new location (they are planning to have a few hotel rooms above the wine bar), and sampling a variety of their wines. We also struck up conversations with some other guests at the bar, learning about their stories and getting their recommendations on places in the area. The wine was solid, too - a great variety to choose from, although the actually winery likely has more options to select. We particularly liked the cab sav / cab franc blend and the chardonnay (usually not a chard fan, but theirs was a great take on it with like 0% butter flavor). As most places in the FLX region, the wine was great but it was truly the hospitality and conversations that made this a memorable experience. We would love to visit the actual winery and try other varietals on our next visit, and we would also love to stay at the soon-to-be hotel rooms at this wine bar! Thanks for a great pre-boat drink and conversation, JR Dill!

Unique mac and cheese and good gnocchi!…read more I am debating giving the rook 3 or 4 stars... I was not a fan of the salmon mousse... far too salty and I wish it was paired with crisped bread or at least something other than Ritz crackers. I did, however, enjoy the presentation and taste of the macaroni au gratin. The square shape is very unique and I liked the cheese sauce. The lamb w gnocchi was also quite good. Pillowy and soft. The lamb was cooked well. Overall, I would maybe return. I enjoyed the macaroni au gratin as well as the lamb w gnocchi!

Staff was pleasant and quick. The menu is dominated by drink options (cocktails and wines), and happy hour is 4-5pm, which is perfect for an aperitif. The fried chicken is by far their speciality, with the macaroni coming in as a distant second. But while both were delicious, I'd say the best value and taste goes surprisingly to the simple summer salad, which was crisp, sweet, tangy, and refreshing. It's only $10 for a hefty portion of food and I'd order that again anytime (and that's coming from a guy who'd never normally order a salad). My only criticisms are that the Rook doesn't have many entree choices (which may be a good thing for indecisive diners), and that it's very slightly pricey. Otherwise, it's an easy recommend for me.
