First time ordering here and don't think I will bother again. I have eaten at a lot of Chinese places in many states. The fried rice was flavorless, the boneless spare ribs were just dripping in grease. The egg foo young was not bad, two large paddies. Plus the gravy was not overly salty. I have tried all the ones in Epping and Raymond. As far as the ones in the area, China One in Raymond is the best. Good portions for good money. My girlfriend surprised me with Chinese food when I got home from work for our anniversary and the general tso's chicken was inedible and had to spit out into trash can, anniversary ruined. When chicken was cut into to investigate, it looked undercooked and had black spots in it. Very disappointed and will not be returning. read more

On a mission to try all local Chinese food restaurants we stumbled upon this little gem! It was the best! The food is ALWAYS fresh, excellent flavor, the staff is super friendly and their portions are huge! Years later, they are still our favorite place. Oh What a mistake... ordered a PuPu for 2, sweet and sour pork, beef n broccoli, lo main, and PFR... staples for any place.. everything was super saturated in grease could literally squeeze it out of the pork bites and egg rolls... yuck. The crab Rangoon not saturated... yay; however only a spec of filling in each so technically they were just wontons. PFR was wet and bland like it wasn't cooked out enough... the good parts; the lo main was good, the beef teriyaki sticks were good same as the beef n broccoli... unfortunately the bad outweighs the good, don't think I'll be deviating again the next time whenever that is. read more

Lucky Fortune serves up a basic Chinese menu plus Chef's specials. 27 Luncheon Specials ($4.95-$5.15 plus tax) and 24 Special Combinations ($7.25-$7.50 plus tax) are offered, similar to the menu offered at their other restaurant Lucky Corner in Raymond, where my experience was okay. This downtown Epping storefront location has an open kitchen and there is table seating for eat-in customers. The kitchen staff can really crank out a lot of food and handle large orders ready for pickup. I was here on a Friday evening the phone kept ringing off the hook, and the lady running the counter took my order between calls and I still got my food in 10 minutes through the craziness in the kitchen. I'd give this place 3.5 STARS and I'm rounding up because the food I had was served hot and very tasty including the generous portions of Shrimp Lo Mein, Chicken Chow Mein, and sides of pork fried rice and egg rolls. Used to be the best Chinese in the Rt. 125 / Epping area, sadly no longer so. I ordered Sweet n Sour Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice. The rice was a clumpy, flavorless and greasy glob. The chicken looked like the fryolator grease had not been changed in a LONG time. The sweet and sour sauce was basically flavorless colored sugar water. The leftovers went directly into the trash. They try hard but the food and the restaurant need a lot of work. It would not take much to spruce up the place so it doesn't look like a bus stop from the 50's, and they should just charge more and make better food. It appears they have a good system but the food lacked flavor and consistency. We both had their combination plates and soup and did not find a bright spot with any of it. We've been going to LF for a few years now and it's always hit or miss, more miss than hit lately. Last week did it for me I'm done. There was HAIR stuck on my beef teriyaki! So GROSS! The chicken teriyaki was so over cooked it was Inedible. LF needs to improve all around. Even customer service is a little gruff. As Chinese take out places go, this is reasonably decent. Pretty typical fare that you find in most of them, but a little more flavor than some we've tried. My husband really likes the General Tso's chicken. It's usually somewhat hot, but lately has been more on the mild side. Veggies are always nice and crisp, never soggy. read more

Moving to NH from Boston had me missing the variety and number of restaurants within a short travelling distance. I had tried Orient Pearl, which was just ok, and on a whim this weekend headed over to Lucky Fortune for some takeout. The place was busy with people coming in for takeout--I placed my order and was out the door in 10 minutes. Fried dumplings, General Tso's, Chicken and Broccoli, and some Lo Mein. Everything was way better than expected--chicken was all lean white meat, dumplings were delicious, and the portions were generous. It was so good I was back again last night for dinner again! Two days in a row is not something I have done before, fyi... Give them a try--great stuff! read more

Ever since my go to Chinese food restaurant closed a few years ago in Kingston, I haven't found a GOOD quality Chinese place. Last night I had such a craving I jumped on Yelp and came across The Lucky Fortune. I've lived in fremont my whole life, I've driven downtown Epping millions of times and never even realized this place was here. I ordered online, ordering was simple and quick, picked it up 20 minutes later. The food was still hot when I arrived home, and the quality was fresh and crunch and overall very good.
