Reopened in this new location after about a 2 year hiatus. Food is much better at this location. In fact, the food is amazing. My personal favs are general gau, beef w/ tofu, beef teri, boneless spareribs, chicken finger. Household members like the wanton soup, egg rolls. Solid chinese food

Standard mall style Chinese takeout, not clear to me what the appeal would be over Home Taste down the street. Couple bucks cheaper at most.

Our food came with a complimentary drink so we had to try the "Ice Baby Milk Tea" drink which came with a frozen "baby chef" that later melted---the milk tea was absolutely delicious that tasted just like the milk tea I've had in Hong Kong. Favorite dishes of the evening: The hand-shredded chicken. Our cousin orders this every time they come and I can totally see why. It was tender and so flavorful! String Bean w/Ground Pork--it's diced up pretty small and my daughter loved this dish. Popcorn Chicken--crispy crunchy and so flavorful--I like that these aren't spicy Sour/spicy fish and pickled mustard greens stew--this was my favorite dish of the night. The pickled mustard worked so well with the tender flaky fish!

The way it was prepped and packaged, there were barely any bones. Our good friend got this delivered to us and it still tasted amazing. Imagine dining in?? The minced string beans with beef were so addicting, I couldn't stop eating it with white rice. She got us a whole chicken that came with two side orders of rice. Not sure if it comes with one or two, maybe she ordered an extra one for us. The salt and pepper squid were ok. A little soggy due to the delivery but were still solid after placing it in the over. The ginger scallion that came with the chicken, amazing. I love the ginger aroma. It had more ginger to scallion ratio. I highly recommend giving this place a try. And if you can, dine in!

We got the lamb chops, veggies, matcha and a rice dish. All were interesting but good. I would definitely come back here to try their other dishes. The setup of the place is rather homey. We were given a table way in the back, near the kitchen and bathroom. Since the kitchen door was open, leading to the outside, a strong stench of Chinatown dumpster permeated the back area, which did not lead to a good dining experience. The tropical lemonade had good flavor but was too sweet. I like the flavor profiles of watermelon, lychee, and peach, but it was just too much sugar. The garlic wings were pretty savory and flavorful, but were pretty tiny. At least I know they certainly not from hormone chickens. The Takes 2 to Mango was probably the best part of the experience but it wasn't perfect. While there is some strong mango flavor, there are more peach chunks than mango. However, it was pretty good overall. Service was okay and the restaurant mostly consisted of kids with scorpion bowl-looking...bowls.

The staff was incredibly friendly, and I think I only waited 5 minutes from when I ordered to when the food was ready to take away, so that's pretty amazing! I ordered: Lunch special ($11.45) - The price alone here is incredible. You get a good variety of food and a good amount as well for what feels like pre-pandemic prices. I've seen a lot of lunch specials being raised to more than $15 or so recently, so the fact that this one is only $11.45 is a great deal. It also came in a tupperware with a big section and a small section, and I would have expected the rice to go in the big section and the main to go in the smaller one, but they did the opposite - so you get a really large and nice portion of your main course! The actual food I got was: Crab rangoons - These were nicely fried and the filling had noticeable pieces of imitation crab in it. I also liked the savory flavor, as some places make their filling sweeter, but this was more on the savory and salty side. Very nice crab rangoon. Pork fried rice - This was the iffy one. The flavor was on point, but the rice itself was hard and felt undercooked. It wasn't inedible, but it was definitely noticeable, though covering it in the lobster sauce made up for it. If I had ordered the fried rice alone without a sauce, I would have been pretty disappointed. Shrimp with lobster sauce - This came with 4 shrimps which is pretty standard, but it was an above average lobster sauce in my opinion. It was nice and gooey, salty, and savory, and the shrimp was very meaty. This was definitely the star of the lunch, and I had some leftover to eat with white rice for my next meal! All in all, I'd definitely come back - the price along is a great deal, and I'd like to see if the fried rice would be better on a second time around. The appetizer and main were great tasting, and the service was incredibly fast and friendly. 4/5 stars - I'd absolutely have this again!

Ordered the Tomato & Beef Stew and Pan Fried leek Dumplings…read more I'm not sure if I picked a wrong day to order but adding an extra $1 for pan fried when you get boiled ? and instead of leeks we got celery. Celery!? Maybe in parts of Asia but, never have I gotten celery dumplings in my life. Let alone that one of our colleagues is actually allergic to celery. The odds of that happening is of its own. Simply put it. It was not worth the value. Just mushed celery mixed with what looks like "pork". The beef and Tomato stew. You would think you can't really mess this dish up? Sadly it was definitely a disappointment. One thing about star anise. I was always taught to never put too much as it overpowers any dish you make. I literally had 6-7 stars worth in that one order. Causing the meat and everything in there overly inedible. I hate wasting food but this was a first time in a long time that I had to throw the entire order out. In hopes they improve their dishes.

Growing up in a Chinese family, I frequented Chinese restaurants, and Beijing cafe has many classic, familiar authentic dishes available. The food here reminded me of the fond memories of food from my childhood. The steamed dumplings were cooked to the perfect texture, the filling not too salty, while the millet soup was simple, in a good way that balanced the savory flavors from the veggies and protein much like plain white rice would. The vegetable dishes were about $13 each so things can add up fairly quickly. Overall, it was a delicious quick meal that reminded me of my mom's cooking. Would definitely be back for more if I am in the area.
