But after looking at their web page and menu, this business has so much more to offer... Let's start with the atmosphere inside and outside. This is more of a relaxing cafe than what you picture a deli being. Several tables inside to dine in. And also plenty of outdoor seating. The menu has everything from appetizers, to sandwiches, to meals... I came for a hoagie that I read someone else hyping up. But abandoned that idea once I realized that homemade meatballs are served here. I rarely will turn this down since homemade meatballs are rare to find at sandwich shops. This meatball parm was amazingly good... Hell, it was great. With this being the standard for me, I will be trying as many items as I can on their menu. When I made the call my second complaint that nearly cost this review a star was due to the fact that the courteous man answering the phone could not tell me what the white sauce option was. He said we have hot sauce and white sauce. I ordered both but he should have been able to describe them better. The employees were masked properly (Have to note that these days) and the gentleman waiting on me brought my bagged sandwich with a smile and I was again amazed by the price ... a TRUE BARGAIN!!!! When I reached home and unwrapped my gyro it was a thing of beauty filled with fresh crispy veggies and packed with falafel! Each bit was filled with yummyness. I asked did he not see that the food was spilled all inside the bag and he told me he "doesn't look at people's food". I said you didn't need to look at it to feel and realize that it was spilled out of the bag. Driver offered no support, regard, or care. This part is on GrubHub completely. I called the store though, hoping they'd rectify this issue, and explained what happened and the guy on the phone said to call Grub Hub. I told him I did and asked if they did not secure the food properly. Guy on the phone claimed they did secure the food. He took no accountability and eventually hung up on me and told me to "Call GrubHub". Disgusting service from the driver and the guy I spoke to at Philly Gyro King. I hope the driver gets reprimanded and does a better job making sure the food he delivers is of quality. If he wouldn't eat it himself, don't deliver it and double check with the store for quality control. Have some care for handling people's food. Philly Gyro King also needs to make sure their food is more secured. Get better containers or something and tightly package the food so this doesn't happen again to people trying to support your store, regardless of if they picked it up themselves or ordered from GrubHub. Overall I will NEVER order from this store again based on how the guy on the phone handled it when I explained the situation to him. What saves them is their long hots which are absolutely delicious stuffed with prosciutto and provolone and baked to perfection. Delivery took a long time but that has to be expected as it was so hot and they're trying their best. They really need to work on their food quality though if they're going to compete in this area.
