As my Toyota Rav4 was approaching 18 years with over 231k miles, it was starting to show signs that I was about to drive it till the wheels fell off. I had been keeping my eyes peeled for an EV the size and similar design as the Rav4. There really aren't many options out there right now. The Rivian is a nice size, but I don't like the boxy design and it doesn't have that many bells and whistles. The Tesla has great interior features, but isn't as roomy, and I would absolutely not support Elon's business anyway! Finally, enters the Lucid Gravity in 2026. And fortunately, there's a Lucid dealership somewhat close by in Torrance! I scheduled an appointment to test drive a Gravity. Within minutes, Quintin called me to get an idea of what I was looking for. I told him I am interested in any used 2026 Gravitys, particularly in the aurora green color. Unfortunately, since they are still brand new, there were no used cars available. However, the 2026 Gravity is discounted because they want to get rid of them to make space for the 2027s. Quintin couldn't seem to find a 2027 aurora green but my next color of choice was the bronze so he put a placeholder on that one. In order to test drive a Lucid, they require a $1,000 deposit, which you can get back within 3 days if you decide not to purchase or lease one. That was a bit of a shock during the call, but I had a good feeling about the car so I wasn't as hesitant as I normally would be. Upon arrival, the place has a modern and open feel and I couldn't help but notice how good it smelled in there! Tiffany was at the front desk, greeted us warmly and checked us in. After showing our drivers license and signing paperwork, we were on our way. As I was driving the Gravity Touring, I could instantly feel how well the steering handles and how smooth it drives. I'm not used to the harsh degenerative brakes, but it has two other modes that brake more softly and one even drives like a regular car, although it does use a little more juice. I think it's worth it! The features I LOVE about the Gravity Touring: ⁃ Creature Comfort: keeps the car at a comfortable temperature if you need to leave your pet in there while you run into the store real quick. A sign on the large screen displays, "My person will be back soon." ⁃ Massage seats: okay, not nearly as strong or intense as the ones at nail salons, but they feel nice during long drives. They're only in the front seats. ⁃ Driver Assist: not door to door, but it is cruise control on the freeway that slows down with oncoming traffic and changes to faster moving lanes on its own. It doesn't sync with the gps, unfortunately. ⁃ the Frunk: with no engine in the front, there's another cargo space! ⁃ The trunk also has so much space! ⁃ The huge tempered glass ceiling!! ⁃ Ambient lighting ⁃ 360 camera ⁃ A long screen on the dash and big screen in the center with all the fancy, techy features When I sat down with Tiffany in her office, she was able to find me the aurora green I wanted and gave me a break down of the payment between purchasing or leasing with different amounts down. The bonus was that they offered me $5,500 for my Rav4 when the trade in value was only $2,500! Tiffany was incredibly patient and helpful throughout the process. I was sad she couldn't be there the day I picked up the Gravity. Quintin was there instead and he was even able to bring my monthly payment down to half of what I was quoted! Aldo did the walkthrough and showed me how to adjust everything in my car and save the settings. I did my best to follow along and learn every feature, but it was a lot! Thankfully, he emailed me some next steps and included his phone number. I text him whenever I have questions and he responds with instructions. I couldn't be happier with my Lucid Gravity!!! read more

I've been leasing with Lucid in Torrance for the past three years and stopped in recently since my lease is up in August. Honestly, the experience was easy. The team was knowledgeable, patient, and didn't push me in any direction, which I really appreciated. They walked me through a few realistic options and were clear about what the next steps would look like, so nothing felt confusing or overwhelming. That alongoes a long way. It felt like they were there to help, not sell. I've really enjoyed my time with Lucid and plan to stick with the brand. In January 2026 I went to pick up my lucid gravity and I found some problem with the car I didn't want to pick up the car they said they are going to put it in due bill and take care of it in a week by valet service, they bring a another lucid to my house and pick up after 3 months they said the only option I have is to bring the car my self and get a rental from enterprise, We end up having them tow the car and I went to enterprise and had an option of a Toyota Corolla or a convertible mustang!! I thoroughly enjoyed my recent Lucid Motors | Torrance Cars & Coffee Test Drive Event. Upon entrance, I was respectfully greeted, asked about the vehicles I was interested in, and asked to completed a waiver via DocuSign. I'm sure the legal department will be happy to hear the team was on top of ensuring waivers were completed. I was introduced to Tim and then Quinton, who is knowledgeable, personable and very professional. Quinton took the first opportunity available to introduce himself and then launch into the specific differences between the Lucid Air Touring and the Lucid Air Pure. I learned a lot about the models in a short amount of time and was greatly interested in his perspective since he also has experience with Tesla. I drove both the Lucid Air Pure and the Lucid Air Touring, and Matt accompanied me on both test drives. I enjoyed both test drives, but was more impressed with the luxury and acceleration of the Lucid Air Touring. I also loved the "auto park" feature. Matt was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable about the vehicle types. The Lucid Air Touring features 620-horsepower dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain, 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds, and an EPA-estimated 425 miles of range. It is Lucid's most efficient model yet, delivering 4.62 miles per kilowatt hour. This vehicle came equipped with a glass ceiling and luckily, also featured shades to keep the heat out. Apparently the shades are a new feature. The Lucid Air Pure achieves 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and an EPA-estimated 410 miles of range. Overall, I had a positive experience during the test drives. There were snacks available in addition to the coffee. The Lucid Motors team was helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and available to respond to every inquiry. While I was impressed with the 2023 features, I am looking forward to checking out the 2024 models, as well as test driving the Lucid Air Sapphire. read more

This company is A+++!!! The vehicles are amazing, the service is great and the whole experience of buying a car from Lucid was the best I have ever had. Jeremiah was the first person we met as we walked in. We had an appointment and were offered water and to see the cars we were interested in. Jeremiah knew the answers to everything we asked. We went in and out of multiple vehicles and then went on the most thorough test rides and learned all about the car. As we were leaving, another customer was parking his Lucid from his test drive and the smile and double thumbs up he gave us on our way out was very encouraging. When we returned from our test drive, we were SOLD! We looked at all the available inventory that met our price range, features, colors, upgrades, etc. and found the car. We put a deposit down and went through the simplest application process online, it was terrific. The communication and customer care from Jeremiah and then Daniel was how all companies should operate. The time and detail to go over things and on-board us was incredible. Two days later, we went down to the Costa Mesa delivery facility where we were met by Cory. Everything was done online and the experience in the showroom was again, amazing! The car is beautiful, we are beyond happy and can honestly say, I have been a Mercedes guy for years and had an EQS purchased over the weekend and were driving off the lot and there was a snafu. My Lucid GT has been a great car but the service department in Torrance is horrible. They never answer the phone . It takes 3-4 days to get a hold of someone. This is unacceptable since they are the only ones to work on your vehicle. I don't exactly have a choice unless I want to drive to Beverly Hills or OC . I leave several messages and the service department does not call back. I recently had my car serviced for the yearly maintenance. That appointment took 2 months to book and after I picked up my vehicle my coolant light turned on while driving home. I called the dealer immediately and they did not answer. I called the sales dept and they promised to have someone call me back . No luck . Frustrating for a vehicle over $100k to have such a horrible customer service department. With that said, I will not be leasing a new Lucid. The lack of care and professional service at the dealer service is unacceptable. read more

[Review #689] 2022 Yelp 100 Challenge (10/100) I was en route for my son's lunch/playdate when he pointed out the Lucid Studio Torrance (www.lucidmotors.com) to me. What!?! \ ( ^ - ^ ) / I made mental note to drop by afterwards, but didn't have to because M was curious too. Back Story: I'm an amateur swing & position trader, & my son has been watching me research or set trades since he was a 3 YO (he just turned 6). I've been looking into alternatives tickers so that's how he was aware of Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: LCID). Initially, I thought the dealership/showroom was closed based on its layout/set-up, but saw a couple of people inside so I checked the door & it was open! ヅ The showroom was sparse (intentional?), contemporary, & experience-designed (see video). We were warmly greeted by Venus, who showed us the Lucid Air Pre-Production Grand Touring in Infinite Black. The Lucid User Experience consists of 2 sleek primary touch-control displays: Glass Cockpit (floating screen that sweeps around the driver) & Pilot Panel (centrally located in the lower console display) that's contoured for the driver & within easy reach. The high-tech, user-friendly Pilot Panel (Opening, Seats, Massage, Themes, Charging) was impressive! M was able to quickly grasp its functions, & especially loved the massage options: rolling (my fav), unwind (his fav), wave, stretch, & deep (& boy does it ever!). Too bad he's too short/young to sit in the passenger seat IRL. The car has ingenious storage in both the frunk & trunk that's comparable to SUV storage space; M climbed in both ends. LOL And they're accessible on a smart phone with the app, key fob, control inside the car, button mounted inside frunk, making the storage spaces so usable through multiple access options. We also walked around the experience room that showcases Lucid's Unrivaled Electric Vehicle Technologies (electric drive unit, Wunderbox charging system), Track-Proven Battery Technology (air batter pack), Vehicle Color Schemes, etc. According to their website, the Air has today's longest range, fastest charging luxury electric car with over 1,100-hp & EPA range up to 516-mpg that can charge about 300-mi./20-mins. Wow! (o_O) And for those car enthusiasts/speed demons, the car zips from 0 - 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Want a speed reference point comparison? It rivals the Koenigsegg Jesko, Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, Porsche 911 Turbo S 991 & 991.2, Lamborghini Huracán, BMW M8 Competition, but with a cheaper sticker price. ;-) There's 2 wheel options: 19" & 21" with removable panels that aid aerodynamics. But if you don't like the look, just take them off. Also, the 21" wheels lose more range so you get more bang (mph) on the 19" wheels. I have mixed feelings. The staff here is very friendly and willing to take the time to acquaint you with their brand and vehicle. The show room is large and clean, and they clearly have room to grow as more people buy Lucid cars. The product itself seems fairly classy, technological, and well executed. However, the policy of not allowing test drives unless a $1000 deposit is made seems unreasonable to me. Took a spin in one of the newest EVs on the market -- the lucid Air. Before the spin I was taken around the facility and introduced to the sales and marketing team, before a brief overview of the lucid company and its family of vehicles. I really like the Lucid Air just for its looks, and even though there's some negatives overall I feel this vehicle will add improvements and maybe reduce the overall price so that it can be available to all. I visited the Lucid Motors on Hawthorne Blvd. To begin I want to Thank Danielle who welcomed me to your event, then to meet Quinton Caruthers, Winter, and also our (test driver I believe was Anthony please forgive If I got his name wrong ). He was so cool, transparent and safe. The whole Lucid team were so welcoming. You all really made me want to buy one of your cars. I hope your kindness and welcoming is the same through Lucid So this past Saturday, i was driving by and I thought I would just ask to walk around and look at the cars.
