The Tesla worker Stephanie was very nice by taking us downstairs to see a Cybertruck like I wanted to see.

Went to the Tesla mall location and I was surprised that there would be a Tesla location at Del Amo Mall (across from Apple). Natalie was very nice, patient, and helpful. She went over my options and for leasing vs buy and I ended up walking out of there with an order placed. The buying experience is easy and was done completely online and through the Tesla app. I was able to use the Federal Tax Credit on my purchase along with a $500 referral credit (which Natalie was kind enough to mention to me). I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend you go talk to Natalie if you're considering a Tesla.

My wife, Barbara, and I went to Tesla at Del Amo Mall roughly a month back and met Stephanie. She was very fourth coming and explained to us the advantages of getting our electric vehicle and took us for a test drive and explained the features and benefits as opposed to get a ICE vehicle. Stephanie followed up with us ,and did not pressure us and took her time to answer all my wife's questions,. When we decided to proceed we set an appointment with Stephanie and she took her time and secured our vehicle. Stephanie is very efficient and did not waste both of our time, process to purchase a vehicle was a straightforward process . Both Barbara and I are very grateful to have met Stephanie. We will always recommend Stephanie to both our friends and family to purchase our vehicles from her in the future. God Bless, Lalit

Negotiations were quick and fair -- no games, no pressure, and no back-and-forth that wastes your time. The pricing was transparent, and everything discussed was reflected clearly in writing. In theory, you go to the Dealer for the most knowledgeable and professional services. My expectation was high. When I picked up my AEV version AT4X, I was not provided the multipoint inspection sheet as noted on my paperwork. So, I turned around and asked for the sheet. (First red flag) My first question was did you reset the oil life monitor when you changed the oil. The service advisor said yes. When I asked why that was not checked off, he replied thats not printed on the form. (I guess second red flag) I left Martin Chevrolet worried about the quality of service given to me, but I was busy so I left. Once I had more time to review, I noticed they marked Tire PSI at 40. Did they fill the tires to 40 PSI? Thats actually the wrong tire pressure! Manufacturer recommends 38. (Details matter) Then, in writing up this review I remembered I had damage to the rear right shocks on the truck. No mention or documentation of anything anywhere. Is that actually an issue---- honestly I suspect not, but I also expect they missed it. While none of these items represent anything major, the lack of detail and precision is worrisome for a Dealership. I will see how they respond when I ask for clarification. In the meantime, Where should I go for top notch auto service? Its clearly not Martin Chevrolet.

Update : AutoNation…read moreresponds to reviews like they care, but my experience says otherwise. I called twice and no one answered. There is no clear general manager available to speak with, and their response feels like a generic message meant to look good publicly rather than actually help the customer. Their business model seems pretty clear: they set the price, refuse to negotiate it down, and then try to sell you extra warranties and add-ons. They may not want to negotiate the vehicle price down, but they sure have no problem negotiating the total price up. I told them I was ready to buy the car that day and that I was not going to waste time. They had a serious buyer in front of them and did not handle it properly. I ended up buying the car I wanted, at the price I wanted, from another dealership. Their loss. The reviews tell the story. In my opinion, AutoNation is not a dealership I would recommend. Their vehicles are overpriced, the communication is poor, and buyers should be very careful before doing business with them. Original review: The dealership itself was not a nightmare, but they are definitely not there to give you a deal. I went in to look at a 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC 350e. The car looked good, and the online price was around $20,000. The issue was that the vehicle came with no real warranty, especially nothing meaningful on the hybrid battery. Because of that, they tried to add an additional warranty package for roughly $3,500 to $4,000. They also kept trying to justify the higher price by pointing out things like the AMG package, AMG wheels, AMG grille, and floor mats. That may matter to some buyers, but I was not there for cosmetics. I was there for a reliable working car. I do not need floor mats and appearance upgrades to justify overpaying for a used hybrid with no battery warranty. Once everything was added up, the out-the-door price was around $22,000 before the added warranty. With the warranty, the total would have been closer to $25,000 to $26,000, which did not make sense for this car. The saleswoman I worked with, Dorsa, was nice and professional. She seemed young, but she was polite and tried her best. The problem was not really her. The problem was the pricing, the pressure around the add-ons, and the dealership's lack of flexibility. The sales manager, Chris, came over to the table like he was going to help make something happen, but he really did not do much. What bothered me most was that he did not know the exact cost of the warranty, and he also did not seem to know the realistic replacement cost of the hybrid battery. That is a major issue on this type of vehicle. If you are selling a used plug-in hybrid, the battery is one of the most important parts of the conversation. I asked him directly to work with me on the price since the car did not include a warranty on the hybrid battery. I explained that a hybrid battery replacement can be very expensive, possibly around $10,000, so I felt they should discount the car by about $3,000 to $3,500 to make the deal fair. My point was simple: if the warranty is going to cost around $3,500, then take roughly that amount off the price and let me decide whether I want to take the risk. I was willing to close the deal around $19,500 out the door. That was already more than I felt the car was worth, but I was ready to move forward if they made the numbers reasonable. Instead, they barely moved. The most they were willing to discount was maybe $300 to $400. At that point, I walked away. My advice is simple: go in knowing your number. Do not let them keep repeating that they inspected the car, that they are a great dealership, or that the car has appearance upgrades. That may all be true, but it does not remove the risk of buying a used hybrid with no meaningful battery warranty. The part I did not like was that the car was already priced high compared to what I believe the vehicle is actually worth. Kelley Blue Book value seemed closer to the $16,000 to $18,000 range, yet they were asking about $20,000 and then trying to add thousands more for a warranty. That did not sit right with me. It is unfortunate because I was ready to make a deal. I could have bought the car that day, and I may have even become a repeat customer since I will likely need a second car. But instead of trying to make a fair sale, it felt like they were more interested in seeing how much they could get out of me. At the end of the day, the car was nice, but the deal was not. I walked because the numbers did not make sense.

Thank you so much for being very responsive to my questions and transparent with pricing! I am very happy with the service you provided and I would be happy to recommend you to anyone I know who is looking to buy a car in the future. Kenia is one of the Internet Managers at the Manhattan Beach Toyota dealership and I was mainly communicating with her through text messages. I found her through an affiliate website. Right away she was very responsive in answering me. No BS, no games. She told me the car I wanted was out of stock but she would let me know when it was available. It took a few weeks but she helped me find the car that I was looking for instead of just trying to sell me one that was currently available on their lot. When I came in for a test drive she did not rush me. I felt no pressure at all as I was walking around the car. After all the paperwork was signed, instead of just giving me the keys to drive off, Kenia took the time to show me all the features of the car. For months I had reached out to many dealerships within a 100 mile radius asking for out the door pricing. Some dealerships wanted me to make a deposit upfront, others tried to push options I did not want and refused to remove them when i asked. Most dealerships would stop communication if they did not have what I was asking for. It was like pulling teeth trying to get transparent numbers with other dealers. Kenia really stood out because there was no hesitation with providing the final out the door pricing, and it still beat out most of the competition. Everything she presented was clearly laid out when I asked her to break it down. If you are buying a new car, make sure to do your research! Know what you want, get comparables from other dealerships, and do not rush. Be patient! If you do find the Toyota you are looking for at a different dealership, I would still recommend giving Manhattan Beach Toyota a call and give them a chance to earn your business. I knew to be prepared to be overcharged, however, Eddie came back with a quote for $5,000 over the residual value of my car (as written in my lease) and could not tell me what those fees were even for. He said he couldn't take them off and if I wanted to buy from Mazda itself, I had to go through a dealership (South Bay), because Mazda would not sell to me directly. He told me to call them that day, that they would tell me the same. I was floored. Eddie lied to me, several times. Mazda's customer service line was closed (it was a Sunday) and when I left and did more research, I found out I not only can buy directly through Mazda Financial Services, but also at the residual price that was given in my lease. MFS was very angry that South Bay lied to me, while also trying to overcharge me $5,000. I know dealerships don't make any money off me buying my car outright after the lease. But the way I was treated was shameful and offensive, and as a loyal customer I would have expected better customer service. I will never trust South Bay with my business ever again.
