Dined with 4 people on a Tuesday night at around 6:30. Restaurant was about 1/2 full and maybe 3 couples at the bar. Place has great ambiance. We were seated promptly. Took about 15 minutes for someone to approach our table. Ordered a few drinks which took another 15 minutes to get. We did not have appetizers but each ordered an entree. I think the review that we all agreed on was that the food was good but not anything special. Saw our server maybe once during our meal. We asked for bread and red pepper. She bought three pieces of bread for 4 people. We have been to a lot of Italian restaurants and thought it was unusual that they did not serve bread or have olive oil or any other condiments (salt, pepper, red pepper) on the table. I don't use any of them but it's more than common to offer these to your guests without them having to ask. All in all, the drinks were expensive $12 -$15 each, the service was miserable and the food was good. If the food was the only issue, we would definitely give it a second try, but the service will keep us away. Just too many options out there. I do wish them luck though. Hate to see any restaurant fail and every one before them has. read more

What a hidden gem in Addison! This place truly feels like you're dining in the city when it comes to the food and the ambiance. We liked everything we ordered and would come back again! The only thing that we didn't love was that it was hard to have a conversation because the music was loud and distracting. It was techno music! Other than that, we really liked it and think it's a great addition to the suburbs. read more

First timers and loved almost everything about this place! From the easy parking, cool venue, excellent service and the great food! HOWEVER, we unfortunately may not go back until they turn down the music. Both the type & volume didn't come even close to syncing up with the early evening (5-8p) customers. As a matter of fact, our 20 yr old waiter had a tough time hearing us at times and when I asked him if he could turn down the music, we were told 'no can do, the owner wants it this way'...so much for the customer I guess. So Mr Owner, if you're looking to operate like a nite club later in the nite when the crowd gets younger fine, but not a good idea at 6p when the 'older' customers who typically spend much more money per visit and will be much more loyal over time are having dinner. read more

Food is excellent, service was amazing, cocktails were great and the ambiance is lovely. So glad this place is finally open so we don't have to drive downtown for a tartufo pizza! It's a little on the pricier side but well worth it and a step above the competition. Will definitely be in our date night rotation! read more

Such great food and ambience. We tried a variety of different menu items and they were all so fantastic. Great customer service too!

It's a downtown experience with being in the city. Food/drinks and service is amazing visit Anna at the bar for amazing drinks!!!

I was super excited for a new restaurant in the area and was not disappointed. The food, atmosphere, and design were top notch. City style restaurant very much needed around here! Bright and full of greenery, the look is simply gorgeous and an excellent date spot or place to hang with friends or couples. Appetizers were my favorite part especially the fried calamari!! We cannot wait to come back! read more

Beautiful evening! Ate on the patio. Very comfortable. Our waitress was really sweet. Service was great. We got an antipasto. Omg!! Really great quality meat & cheeses, burrata, and fried dough for bread. We shared an eggplant parm. Yummm. Very, very rich. All in all, great place. read more

Will never go back. There are too many better restaurants with better menu's and service. They do not post their menu on their website, and when we called the host suggested we log into Grub Hub to see the menu. When at the restaurant I ordered a 2nd beverage which was brought to the table without a glass. Really? I guess I'll drink it out of the bottle! read more

First time visiting this new neighborhood restaurant and we are so glad we did! The food, the service and the vibe was fantastic! We had the arancini, rigatoni bolognese and a pizza for my husband and we both walked away with the confidence that Lucia Rosa will be added to our date night restaurant rotation! Best of luck! read more

Only thing better than the outstanding food was the warm and friendly service. I don't care to eat at any other Italian restaurant in the Chicago suburbs after our stellar Lucia Rose experience. read more

Food was good and fresh, the service is quick and friendly. Their service is almost too good that the your meal could feel rushed. I don't think this is the best spot for dinner and drinks to catch up with people because they seem to want you in and out since it is a popular spot. The bar is nice, overall a great spot! read more

The beautiful: the ambiance is very nice, well decorated, great place for a first date. The staff was very polite and pleasant. The good: I had a classic negroni, and it tasted fantastic. My girlfriend had a margarita that she said was excellent. The bad: the food was not very good. We got two pizzas. The margherita pizza crust was 'limp' and under cooked. The prosciutto e arugala was very dry, basically dry pizza crust with prosciutto topped with arugula and shavings of cheese. Very underwhelming. The ugly: the prices: outrageous prices. While my negroni tasted great, the small glass it came in was occupied mostly by a massive cube of ice with perhaps a few ounces of actual negroni, all for $15. The pizzas were not too expensive at $15 for margherita and $20 for prosciutto but considering their poor quality, they were very over priced. Looking at some of the other items on the menu, the place is way over priced. All in all, the food was underwhelming the pizza crust was not crisp at all, undercooked and the pizzas themselves were on the dry side. The prices were outrageous ($75 for zupa di pesce? I've never seen this for more than $40 even with lobster in it and that's at downtown locations). As much as I'd like to support local businesses, the combination of food quality and prices will make it unlikely I'll go back here again. read more

Was imagining micheal bublè or frank sinatra to be playing when I walked in this restaurant with my boyfriend for our date to my surprise is was really upbeat fun music. It definitely reminded me of how the restaurants in Greece were. I give the vibe 10/10. The Neapolitan pizzas were so delicious! Definitely my new top pick for pizza night out. Highly recommend. read more

Lucia Rose - Diavola pizza and margerita pizza - Italian Near Me - Addison, Illinois

Food was very good. Love the decor. We came in around 8 pm on a Friday night. Music is very loud. It's like they are trying to be a night club yet they are a restaurant. I would go back though as food was very good. read more

We had the baby gen ceaser salad, Diabola Pizza and pesto pasta and i am not disappointed! Every dish prepared has been amazing and so full of flavor! What made it even better was the customer service our waitress had and every staff member that approached our table. The place is super clean and very modern comfortable environment! I am in love! Will definitely be returning soon! read more

The food was amazing. They have a great drink menu. The service was also fantastic. One of the best restaurants in the are!

best italian food in the area- all homemade and fresh with great flavor. service is top tier, Bianca is amazing she fulfilled all of our needs and more. This place is great! read more

The food at Lucia Rose is incredible. By far the best Italian restaurant I have had in the suburbs and maybe even the city too. Highly recommend the short rib pasta, bolognese, and diavola pizza. The prices are a little higher than some other restaurants but the food is definitely that much better. Our server was also very nice and accommodated our large party which included two young kids. read more

Bar tender should not be working with people. There's way better bar tenders out there that can compliment Lucia Rose better! Find a bar tender with class not an a$@! read more

A very very expensive pizza place. The food is mediocre and the drinks are priced as downtown Chicago drinks(and not just the alcoholic ones). Totally not worth it at all. read more

I highly encourage anyone going here to do one of 2 things. If you want a great Brick oven pizza, go to to Elio's down the street. If you want to spend a ton of money go to Gibson's. We ordered pizza...yes pizza and spent $500 for 7 people and 3 were kids. Drinks are $15 each. Food is good but. It at that price. I don't think that those price belong in Addison, IL. Pizza is good but Elio's down the street is way better! read more

Food was very good but for the price you'd think they could put some bread on the table or include a salad. Service was also so-so. Our waitress brought our dinner and we didn't see her again until we were done eating. Never asked if we wanted another drink or even water. Will go back but won't go out of my way. read more

Food is always outstanding. I keep ordering the same thing. Eventually I'll try something different. Staff is always friendly. It's a nice cozy place to enjoy great Italian food. read more

Food and Service were great. It was like a downtown restaurant without all the pain of parking and traffic. I do think the price was a little high, especially for the cocktails, but I would still go back. read more

We stopped by here for dinner before our movie. Service was polite and earnest. The food is pricey but very good. Beer selections are extremely limited. My GF enjoyed the cider selection but $14 a bottle is pricey. We'd like the pizza next when the oven is working again. It's an attractive space but our biggest complaint is ambient noise is very loud. The music is very redundant, very loud electronic house music. Loud music is better for a dance club, but not when overpowers conversation at a nice restaurant. Raising your voice for conversation is necessary and that gets old fast. read more

Delicious food, great service with amazing ambiance!!

Everything was amazing!!!! Staff was polite, food and drinks were perfect and the inside is absolutely beautiful! so happy and can't wait to come back! read more

Food was delicious, we had the pesto past and the truffle pizza and both were delicious. Drinks were great as well. Feels like you are in the city without going to the city read more

The homemade pasta and sauces are phenomenal and the mixologist is a real find for a suburban location. We've now had dinner and drinks 3x in the short time they have been open, and will definitely be going back for more. Recommended to us by someone working at a competitor restaurant, which also speaks to the quality of the food. read more

We went to Lucia Rose when it first opened and liked it very much. The food, service and atmosphere were all very good. However, we have been there a few times since and other than the great service, everything else has gone downhill. With techno music blaring, the atmosphere now is like a downtown dance club. Having to spend the entire evening yelling at your friends in order to have a conversation is terrible way to spend an evening. As well, the food is not as good. We sadly ordered the tuna tartare again. This time it had more avocado than tuna and rather than serve it with the proper crackers they gave us some soft flatbread that did not pair with it well at all. Also, the Veal Milanese that was once delicious was dry and over cooked. Then after asking us if we wanted coffee or cappuccino we were told the machine was broken. When we asked why the music was so loud and uncomfortable, we were told that although many customers have complained about it, the manager has no plans on changing the music or the volume. Apparently Lucia Rose no longer cares about the comfort or the quality of their restaurant and we won't be back until they do!! read more
