Here's a much shorter, more straightforward version that sounds natural and not "polished": --- I was really excited to come back to Lucia's since it was my childhood pizza spot, but this was a big letdown. Ordered a large veggie and added pepperoni. Was told 25 minutes, picked it up a few minutes early, got home in 4 minutes and the pizza was already hard and tough to chew. I live 3 blocks away. Once I chewed like 4 bites, my jaw actually hurt and my dad couldn't chew it either. It tasted like an old pizza that had been sitting out and reheated with extra toppings. Definitely not fresh. 4 slices we threw away. For $34, this was disappointing. I don't mind paying the price, just make it fresh and right. Please stop cutting corners and serving food like this. Why would take a legacy neighborhood brand and destroy it? Save a morning pie from being trash and instead lost a customer.

Spacious pizzeria, parking is a little tough in the area, but I did see a sign in the front that they have spots in the back. Quick service. The regular size was good, not the best in Queens but good for that area. Large slices, thin crust, needed a little more sauce. The drunken grandma slice looked really good, but was disappointing. The crust was super thick, and there was barely any sauce, I felt like I was eating a piece of bread. Good prices.

Second visit in the past week. Eggplant Parm with penne with so delicious can't put it in words. Service was excellent, food is very fresh and no rush for service. Place is clean as last time. Very great place to visit to come next time to try different pizzas and foods

So stoked to see Lucia open another location in Bayside. I always dread having to drive to Flushing to buy a pie. What both location's suffer most though no fault of their own is parking. Picking up a pie is a two person job in both locations, the Bayside location does advertise curbside pick up though. I ordered a half pepperoni cheese pizza which had perfectly melted cheese, flavorful tomato sauce and a delicious savory pepperoni. The "undercarriage and flop" of the pie was a little under charred and on the softer side. The crust was a solid 10 for crunchiness and struck the right balance between crispiness and chewiness. On my next order, I'll ask for the pie to be baked well done, hopefully that will improve on the "Flop and undercarriage" Looking forward to trying the other items on the menu soon.

Great to see Lucia pizza in Bayside. I've gone to Lucia in Flushing since I was a kid so there's a bit of nostalgia here. Delicious pizza and a solid place as your go to pizza. Slightly bigger than the narrow pizzeria in Flushing. Good service and in a convenient location a few blocks from Bell Blvd on Northern Blvd.

We are very big fans of Lucia in Flushing and was estactic to hear they were opening a new location in Queens. Their new location in Bayside opened to the public yesterday. The new location isn't very large with only three or four tables but interior feels spacious and clean. We ordered a medium regular pie ($14.50) and six garlic knots ($2.95). Everything tasted great and prices were reasonable, specially for this neighborhood. Staff were so nice and they have extended hours of operation (open every day from 10am to 9pm everyday except for Friday and Saturday it's 10am-10pm). So glad they have expanded too this neighborhood.

I can't compare to the Lucia in flushing but this is my go to. 5 stars because the pizza is crispy and they always accommodate any orders. They will make a half white pie along with a sausage pie. Now that's service. And it's soo good

Got 2 large pies with sausage and bacon be with extra cheese for the office with chicken wings. The delivery time was pretty good but idk when we got the pizzas the pies were all fugly and like looked like the guy tilted my pies to one side. And they didn't give any pepper flakes or anything. Wings were fire doe not gonna lie deff recommend the wings.

Best pizza in Bayside period. Quintessential New York City -burn the roof of your mouth good. Ingredients and sauce (which they won't sell) is what you want and what you deserve. Tons of my HS friends grew up having Lucia's in Flushing and now all of us can have the same quality with better parking options in Bayside. Enjoy!

I thought this would be like the one in flushing which is one of the best pizza in queens. But this crust was very thick. Disappointing.

This is, by far, the worst service I have ever experienced…read more I was really pulling for this place. I wanted it to succeed. I told everyone about it, that it was some of the best pizza in New York. I gave them so many chances. Last night was the final straw. Made a reservation for Friday night at 8PM. We arrived at 8:05. The waitress who's basically always there, who sounds like she smokes about a pack a day, was the only waitress there that night. I felt for her, but also, not my problem. We didn't receive water or a full set of utensils and menu until about 8:15. At about 8:25, she took our order, and we ordered a few apps and calzone and pizza. I had to ask for my coke about 4 times until she remembered to bring it. Water was NEVER refilled. We were never asked if we were ok. Around 8:50, we finally received our apps. It was ok, they've made it better in the past. Ambiance was starting to die down as the restaurant was clearing out. We felt a bit bad for her, but also, this wasn't our fault, that they were unprepared for a Friday night rush (her words). By 9:15, we were furious and our moods were ruined. We sat down at 8:05, ordered before 8:30, we were the only ones left and our pizza and calzone were yet to be found. Shortly before 9:30, it arrived. And again, it was pretty good, but not wait over an hour for it good. I wanted this place to succeed. The pizza maker from Italy deserves a better crew. The waitress doesn't know how to be a waitress, at all. No apologies, not taking anything off the check, not checking on us. There's no busboy, no one dedicated to take out, no manager. It seems that everyone plays each others roles, and quite poorly. They've lost a loyal customer tonight. We will NEVER give this place another try.

**Toskana Pizzeria -- grandma pie excellence, plus legit Neapolitan and Sicilian**…read more Toskana Pizzeria is one of the few neighborhood spots that can pull off *multiple* pizza styles without any of them feeling like an afterthought. If you're the type who actually notices crust structure, bake quality, and balance--not just "is there cheese on it?"--this place earns the five stars. **Grandma pie (the headline act):** This is the standard. The crust has real integrity--crisp edges, that satisfying caramelized corner bite, and a base that stays structured instead of collapsing into a soggy regret. The sauce tastes clean and well-seasoned (not overly sweet), and the cheese-to-sauce ratio is dialed in so each layer is doing its job. **Thin-crust Neapolitan:** Excellent bake and flavor. You get that lighter, more delicate feel with a proper chew, and the toppings don't overwhelm the dough. It's the kind of pizza that tastes "simple" in the good way--because the fundamentals are right. **Sicilian:** A lot of places treat Sicilian like a dense bread block with toppings. Not here. Their Sicilian is actually well-made--airy enough to enjoy, sturdy enough to satisfy, and baked so it has texture instead of being a soft slab. The common thread is consistency: everything feels deliberate, properly baked, and balanced. If you live in the area and you're not ordering from Toskana, you're basically choosing to make your life harder for no reason. Five stars.

Toskana is really close by and after seeing Dave Portnoy's review, I decided to check it out…read more Plain slice: Really solid. Nice cheese pull, good balance of sauce, and probably my favorite of the bunch. It held up well, not floppy at all, with a slight crisp on the bottom. BIG FAN! Chicken broccoli: Just OK. I've had better. The chicken was slightly burnt, which was disappointing. Grandma spinach & artichoke: Pretty good overall. It's similar in style to Artichoke Basille's Pizza, but not as rich or creamy. Margherita: Underwhelming. Nothing really stood out and I've definitely had better elsewhere. That said, I'd still go back just for the plain slice. You really can't go wrong with it. It's a thumbs up for me!

The atmosphere was warm, family-oriented, and comfortable. The prix fixe menu was excellent from beginning to end. For appetizers, my mom had the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, and my sister and I had Nonna's meatballs, which were delicious. My sister had the rigatoni, my mom had the salmon, and I had the short rib of beef, which melted in my mouth like butter -- that's how tender the meat was. For dessert, I had the cannoli's while my mom and sister enjoyed the chocolate lava cake. Everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. The bathrooms were also nice and clean, which is always a plus. My family and I will definitely be coming back again -- even if it's just to stop in for a lychee martini and the grilled octopus, one of my favorite meals. Our server was very pleasant and happened to be the only one working at the time, though with so few guests, it seemed to be all that was needed. We ordered the three-course lunch special. One set included the meatballs to start, followed by the chicken Parmesan and bomboloni for dessert. The other included a Caesar salad, tagliatelle Bolognese, and tiramisu. There was a bit of a longer-than-expected gap between the appetizer and the entrée, especially considering we were essentially the only table being served, as the other guests had already finished their meal. That was a little frustrating. Aside from that, most of the food was solid. The only real disappointment was the chicken Parmesan, which was quite overcooked. It was unfortunate given that the kitchen was only cooking for the two of us. That said, the mashed potatoes, an unusual pairing with chicken Parmesan were excellent: perfectly creamy and incredibly smooth. The tiramisu was also quite good, but the real standout was the bomboloni. I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed them, since fried doughnuts wouldn't normally be my first choice for dessert. I would definitely return.

Staff greeting and welcoming you with a warm smile when you walked in. Ordered at the counter, would take 10-15 min to make the sandwich. Ambiance wise = Love the hipster comic-styled wallpaper. Super genuine staff and great service as well. Can pay with cash or card, but there's a small service fee being charged for card. Besides getting the Angry Nonna Sandwich ($15.50), also ordered the regular fries that came with spicy mayo ($6.53) + a Krave It pineapple pop soda ($3.96) to wash everything down. Staff brought everything to the table even though it was only self serve. 1) Angry Nonna Sandwich: The mildly spicy sauce was delicious and savory. Chicken parm was seasoned well and not salty. Bread could've been a little more crunchy imo. Portion size was plentiful and definitely enough for a full meal. 2) Regular Hand Cut Fries: So many widely-cut fries and more fries than I'd imagined for a single order. Worth it! Size wise was like those halal rice platter in aluminum foil container. I got full midway but still finished the whole thing. Fries were definitely freshly prepared and made. Could've been just a little bit more crispier. Spicy mayo was the perfect sauce to dip the fries in. 3) Krave It Pineapple Soda: Refreshing to taste with the sandwich & fries. Don't need a bottle opener to pop off the sodas. Just need to twist it off yourself. Easily done! Their sodas are made of cane sugar. The fizziness felt good against the back of my throat. I plan to keep going back whenever I'm in the area by myself or with friends. Would recommend this spot to other Yelpers, family and friends. They're opened to late hours everyday.
