We enjoyed our food and visit. Friendly service Cozy dining area - not too large. Most people were getting take out. Also - A LOT of people were getting take out. We were there on a Tuesday around 11:45 and stayed until around 1:30/2pm - There was a steady stream of people getting take out and the dinning aread was 3/4 full the entire time. It seems to be a very popular place. The menu is pretty easy to read on the wall to your right as you walk in. it's pretty easy - you can choose a option from the wall and you can customize your burrito, quesadilla, nachos etc further when you get to the counter. I have never been to a chipotle, so I can't compare it. I love the fact that it's locally owned. For those that do not like cilantro - it's only in two things..one of the rice options and the pico...other than that you are safe. For those that love cilantro, you can ask for extra. I had the supreme nachos with pork and nacho cheese, jalapenos, black beans and lettuce....SOOOOOO GOOOD!!!! and very very filling. I liked the food so much that I ordered a to-go dish for my husband. He loved his food. he said the seasoning was light, but he enjoyed it. Been here numerous times yet just now leaving a review after stopping here for burritos this morning. Of all the times coming here and eating their food both breakfast and lunch/dinner have had no complaints. Service has always been friendly and quick! They have some space indoors to dine but us like many others order then take it home to eat. They follow a similar model as places like Chipotle and Subway where you order and watch your food be made and can choose the toppings/fill ins. You can enjoy so many great options of burritos, tacos, bowls/salads, fries, quesadillas plus some other things. I have always enjoyed their burritos, maybe I need to expand to other things next time. My wife enjoys their bacon breakfast burrito and I enjoy their chorizo breakfast burrito. Lunch wise my wife enjoys their Burrito Americano while I think their Steak Bomb Burrito is great! They offer a good variety in fillings, spice levels, and flavors. Food always tastes fresh and high quality to us. Give their menu a look and check this spot out! Definitely worth your time! read more

Tried this place for the first time while in Windham. It's just a take out spot no place to sit down. You have to order online or go in an order. You can't order over the phone. Great prices for what you get. Any of their burritos are what you should order. So much food and great! Overall really good Mexican place! read more

It was a toss up for a future visit, but then I saw on X what the owner thinks about me, and frankly 85% of the town of Windham where the business is located. No thanks. 5 star burrito! They have a fully vegan burrito called the "Vegarrito" it's huge and delicious, they did mess up just once and added sour cream but all is forgiven! Service is usually friendly! In a great location with picnic tables outside, attractive aesthetically and short order to eat time! I'm so grateful they're vegan friendly! You can order specific options on menu or build your own tacos, burrito or bowl too, all customizable, fresh and made right in front of you! Large portions! I normally love Luchador and come here frequently. Tonight I placed a to go order for my family, drove 30 minutes to get my order and another 30 minutes home. That's when I realized that I did not get what I ordered. When I called the store, they told me I had to bring my food back to the store in order to have anything fixed. The problem, it's a 30 minute drive and it was 7:45 when we realized the problem. They close at 8. I'm definitely not doing take out again. read more

Luchador tacos kicks the ever living snot out of Chipotle. I just started trying the burrito at Chipotle and it wasn't bad. Usually soggy even after eating it 10 seconds after its wrapped. The wrapping usually is sub par and explodes half way through also. This burrito is not soggy and they flavor is absolutely incredible. I csn eat it normally. It stands right up in its wrapper, unlike the soggy chipper burrito. Burrito my God. The flavor on the pork is so freaking good! Hot sauce needs to be a bit hotter but I've got my new place for burritos. Thank you guys!! read more

I went to Luchador Tacos with my mom and aunt located on 781 Roosevelt Trail in Windham, ME. This spot features a great array of classic tacos, burritos and bowls with a California twist. For starters we got their version of nachos! These had nacho cheese sauce, house marinated steak, roasted green tomatillo sauce, and sour cream. I wished these came with more toppings but overall were decent if you are looking to satisfy your cheese fix 6/10. For main dishes we got the taco sampler which had three different tacos. One taco had steak and cilantro/onion, another taco had pork with pickled onions, and finally the americano taco which had chicken cheese pico de gallo and red hot sauce. I loved that you could get a variety of tacos in one plate! They also came with rice and beans-this was an overall great meal 8/10. We also got the classic Luchador Burrito this is their signature east LA version burrito that started it all. It had hand cut marinated carne asada, mexican rice, pinto beans, cilantro/onion mix, red hot sauce. This was the star dish of the evening! This had the perfect amount of spice and satisfied all my taste buds. I want to come back to this spot and try their steak burrito or their cowboy burrito (this one comes with french fries) and you really can't beat the price for the amount of food they give you 8/10. For dessert we got their churros. There were a ton of these for just $6 and had the perfect amount of sugar 8/10. This place leaves a lot to be desired both in food quality and customer service. I dined in for lunch with a friend. I ordered the Taco Sampler (3 tacos of Carne Asada, Carnitas, and Chicken ($12), accompanied with black beans and rice. The Taco Sampler came with a total of 9 soft tortillas!!! Talk about overkill with the ridiculous amount of tortillas. The scant amount of meat in all 3 tacos combined barely filled 2 tortillas! The Carne Asada was tough and overcooked. The chicken was bland and rubbery. The carnitas was dry and flavorless. The rice was so dry, rendering it inedible. The black beans were bland, overcooked and dry. My friend ordered a Chicken Burrito(12$), except it was all filler with only a few pieces of chicken. She said her burrito was exceptionally bland. This was one disappointing dining experience. I complained to the older guy at the counter about both the lack of proteins in our meals, and the lack of flavor in both dishes. He stated "oh that's too bad, maybe the kitchen had a bad day." What kind of answer is that??? Worst customer service ever!! My friend and I were in disbelief at such a rude and cavalier response by an employee!! I spent $25 + tax and both of us left Luchador Tacos hungry. With both horrible food and horrible customer service there is no need for anyone to patronize Luchador Tacos. Saw the chipotle grill near by and went to it only to find out it is not opened. Some of these locations I will not go to because they are unpredictable in their hours and quality of foods. I then looked for an alternative and was glad I found Luchador tacos. Their tacos bowl are smaller in size than Chipotle but their food is just as good if not better in taste. I got the Luchador nachos to share and it was delicious. It was my alternative pick as the carne asada fries was not available because of Christmas Eve not having fries in stock . The nachos chips I ordered was smothered in nachos cheese which was not salty . Often times these cheese sauce is. The pieces of steak added to the nachos was fresh and well seasoned. They also added a green salsa which was equally good and a generous serving of sour cream on the side . Overall I will definitely order again and looking forward to trying other stuff on the menu. I will frequent this place because the foods and ingredients are fresh and delicious. It is a mom and pop business and I will always support local family businesses. read more

Love that this is a similar style line up to Chipotle to build your own for fillings. You can see everything in front and then they also have a menu where there's some pre built with descriptions underneath if you don't feel like building your own. Inside is small, but they do have some tables off to the side you can sit at. The churros were delicious and loved the quesrito idea (2 flour tortilla with cheese melted in the middle used as the burrito wrap). I'm not a huge fan of corn tortilla as they break easily, but they did give me 2 and they were really tiny for my taco. My burrito was huge and very filling with generous amounts. The service was very friendly and everything came out at reasonable time and prices. They have a variety for rice, salsas, and meat to pick from too. read more

Portions were good with many options for building your own burrito or tacos. The carne asada is moist and well seasoned. The beef street tacos were delicious. A nice selection of Mexican sodas were a welcome addition to the ubiquitous fountain drinks One of the things that we liked was ample and clean seating indoors, as well as a fun bar type seating outdoors. In the dining area, there were several outlets for phone charging as well. They were very accommodating and wonderful to work with to organize the food for this event. Everyone loved the food, so many compliments, the meats were perfect, the guacamole was a huge hit!!! Really enjoyed lunch at this spot! The line was quick, employees were friendly, and prices were fair. We got a Cali burrito, a Luchador burrito, and a tamarind flavored Jarritos. The decor in this place was great, especially in the dining area (looked a little bare in the main room where orders were placed). I also really liked the focus on Jarritos as a drink option. We sat down and dug in. My Cali burrito (comes with fries in it) reminded me of a Mexican version of the gyro... delicious. I stole a few bites of my partner's Luchador burrito and it was tasty as well. Portions were plenty! For almost a year I couldn't find a place that made me reminded of San Diego and this place did an amazing job encompassing that street taco vibe and flavor. I am not even sure if this food can be classified as Mexican. My "Spanish rice" had no flavor and was undercooked. I'm not even sure how you could mess up a corn tortilla but mine were soggy. The only enjoyable thing about my meal was the pickled onion and they put wayyyy too much. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE HORCHATA. I paid $2 for rice water-- emphasis on the water. I recently walked into this majestic yet modest taco shack expecting your average taco. I decided not to get a taco though so I can't comment on their tacos. I did get a burrito and it was amazing piece of culinary art.
