I recommend them often to family and friends. The owner is often at the counter and is willing to explain everything about your car to you and all they did to assess/fix the problem. He doesn't make you feel like an idiot because you don't know the technical terms or make you feel like the problem is the driver. He never tries to suggestive sell anything and will tell you if things don't need to be fixed or repaired yet. (He'll even tell me that I have around six months left on my brake pads. Obviously helpful so I don't have this big bill on my hands unexpectedly.) This shop has a great reputation for being honest which is why they have so many customers. Often you will need to wait approx a week to get your appointment as they are so popular. I recently got in a car accident and the owner worked with the insurance company who said the damages were not a result of the accident. Ed was able to explain and show how it was related. Also, going there for my car care, he was able to show in the computer my records and how my car was in awesome shape before the accident. He gave me lots of guidance for the accident. Ed is always willing to help. I have been very pleased overall with my experiences at Autotech. The only thing I wish they would do is have a shuttle for those dropping off cars for service for the day.

Brian just put a water pump in my older Escalade with over 200,000 miles on it. He showed me other problems that need attention promptly & almost certainly saved me from breaking down roadside. There's no substitute for experience & professionalism and these guys have both. You won't find a better repair shop locally. Take a look at the vehicles awaiting repairs - there's usually a state police vehicle or two. Not just anyone is trusted enough to work on those vehicles. Vee Tech Motors 1621…read moreLemoyne Ave,, Syracuse, NY 13208 My girlfriend bought a car from this shop (Vee tech motors) on the corner of dippold and lemoyne ave a little over three weeks ago. When we drove it off the lot the check engine light immediately came on after the car got heated up, we shut it off at a gas station and it wouldn't start back up. We then called Vee and he had us tow it back to his shop which we had to pay the tow fee. He fixed it twice within one day which he printed us out a paper with a manifold code, both times the light came back as we left the lot. We then called and again and Vee told us once we got the title from the dmv he would refund the money. We then let the car sit for two weeks waiting on the title, contacted the dmv along with the state attorney to see if there were any other options. We received the title through the mail, went up to get the refund and vee immediately said no and wanted to fix it again. We dropped it off and he had it for a week. For the week he wouldn't answer any phone calls and he closed shop, we called the dmv and the cops and he finally let us have the car back after speaking with the dmv and again, after driving off the lot the engine light came on and we were forced the bring it back a fourth time. For the last time we dropped it off as we went camping, picked it up six days later and he didnt start to work on it yet. I immediately told them to put it back together and wanted it that day, I told them I'll get it fixed at a dealership and sue them for the cost, they refused to give the car back and my girlfriend and I were forced to wait infront of their dealership for three hours to get the car back. We've tried to get a refund from him or a car of equal value, he declined everything. I then wrote a review on his page and his response was I was a scammer and a Crack head. He also stated I tried to destroy the car to keep the cash from the bank and they would repo the car from him which would then put him at a loss of 6000. I wouldn't even entertain that response. This review isnt to bash him or his dealership but it is a warning to get your car looked at by a mechanic.

I say the warranty I bought? oh that's only powertrain, huh so I go in to see bill and sales rep and service manager and I see they already charged me whether I got it fixed or not 120.00 without ever being told I was going to be charged for estimate if I didn't get work done so I will never buy another car nor will I ever have any service done at this dealer ever again, be careful what service you ask them to do you'll owe them 120 before you start paying for any repairs and without your knowledge till you try to understand the large bill they trying to shove down your throat.
