One of the salesman saw it, came up and said I shouldn't have been in the street and should have been on the sidewalk. This despite NYS DMV guidance saying, "You can operate these devices on highways with a posted speed limit of 30 MPH or less. You cannot operate these devices on a sidewalk except as authorized by local law or ordinance." But what can one expect from a car salesman except they think cars reign supreme? Dealerships don't generally hire rocket scientists. No child ever says, "When I grow up, I want to be a car salesman."
