Apparently & come to find out, they were supposed to cut down a neighbors pine instead of mine. When I contacted President Jason Blair at the time for financial compensation, he claimed that a sub contractor by the name of Kevin E. Fitzgerald was responsible & would only offer to grind the stump & plant a tree. Jason also claimed the sub contractor Kevin would contact me , but he never did. When I checked on their licenses at the time, neither company or person was licensed. So based on that info, one can assume that neither was insured either. What bonafide insurance company would insure an unlicensed company ? Irresponsible !

I just assumed that there must be a break somewhere in the line and wanted to have an estimate to fix it. Jason looked and listened to the valve when it was turned on and immediately thought that the diaphragm inside the valve was not open all the way. He suggested that I change it to see if that would fix it first. If it doesn't he explained what he would do to fix it and his charges. Of course Jason was spot on correct in his diagnosis and the sprinkler line was intact and worked fine after I changed the diaphragm. Jason was so willing to share his knowledge and recommendations at no charge. I will definitely make use of his service in the future and recommend him to my neighbors. Jason is the real deal!! Habilitat did the design, permitting, demo and construction for a competitive price. Everyone we dealt with was very professional. Good communication from Donny (estimater) and Jackson (clearing hedges & rocks, digging trench for footing, concrete pour, install CMU block wall) - they promptly answered our questions or found out answer if they didn't know. The young men were very hardworking, polite and respectful to us and each other. Work crew very neat - cleaned up work area every day, soaked up concrete water w/sponges, wiped up excess concrete when setting tile. We were impressed and appreciated the hard work, attention to detail and kind spirit these young men brought. ***** to Jackson and his masonry crew but I deducted stars because it took more than 2 weeks for the fencing crew to correct a fencing error.

ABSOLUTE WORST- DO NOT HIRE !! Do not believe the 5 star ratings- read the 1 stars & they all say…read morethe same truth. Elite Masons completely botched our huge driveway replacement & retaining wall. Unprofessional in every way: did not do code requirements for our driveway-no base rock, no rebar, no wire mesh was used for very large sloping driveway (started failing 1 month after it was laid), used untrained workers & no mason. They completely ruined the retaining wall using left over giant chunks from the previous driveway "so they could save themselves on cement costs- as Sione put it"- barley slapped on cement over the big chunks, didn't even smooth it out, and left it rough & incomplete. They improperly poured the whole huge driveway in less than an hour, which is crazy, and Sione used it as a "teaching excercise". Then they used many different kinds/batches of cement mixed in buckets to fix all the swooping, wavy, & uneven problems-making it look like horrible patchwork all over, and they splattered cement all over the house walls & on our brand new front windows (didnt even clean up) that I am still trying to remove. Unsupervised workers were just dropped off each day with no idea what to do that day and they literally broke or wrecked something every single day (we documented it). Within 2 weeks there were small cracks all over, in less than a month giant full length fissure cracks appeared throughout the driveway, it is breaking into pieces, and caving in some areas. Also workers were left late each night at our house & Sione would guilt us and request us to make cash payments directly to his workers left there. Towards the end we had no money left to withhold to get them to come back to make the repairs, and they left cement, cement chunks, cigarette butts, bottles and cans all over our entire front lawn. Sione & Elite Masons have not responded to messages or calls requesting to fix the problems. So we have been left out of money and with a huge failing driveway. These are just a few of the problems- there were so many many more! Do not hire- you will regret it.

I'm very disappointed with the behavior of an A&K Landscaping employee during their recent…read moremaintenance work at a neighboring apartment building. On Tuesday, September 23rd, an A&K employee trimmed a large portion of an avocado tree on my property that overhangs into the apartment's yard. While I completely understand and have no issue with trimming branches that extend beyond the shared fence line, what happened afterward was unacceptable. The employee dumped all of the tree trimmings--equivalent to a full pickup truck load--onto my side of the fence without asking or informing me. When I approached him to ask if he was planning to clean up the mess, his response was dismissive and unprofessional. He said something like, "No, it's your tree and it's making a lot of leaves to clean up," as if that justified dumping a huge amount of debris onto my property. I had to explain to him that you can't cut down someone else's tree and then leave the mess behind for the property owner to deal with. Only after I moved the debris back on their side and a lot of back and forth did he finally decide to take the trimmings and haul them away on their truck. To make matters worse, I immediately left a voicemail and sent a text to the company's owner, Alika Peterson, asking for a call back to discuss the situation. I called again later the same day and followed up the next day as well. As of now, I have not received any response from Mr. Peterson, which only adds to the frustration and unprofessionalism of this experience. I was appalled by this blatant lack of respect for my property and their apparent attempt to get away with it simply because they thought no one was home at 9 a.m. If the tree had been a genuine nuisance, I would have been more than willing to work with the property owner to resolve it. However, it is not the decision of an A&K employee to make, nor is it acceptable for them to dispose of debris in this manner. I hope A&K Landscaping reconsiders how they train their employees on handling these kinds of situations and improves their responsiveness to customer concerns.

From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14. We are extremely pleased with the work and so glad we went with a business right here in Kaneohe. Thank you William, Wen, and team!
