I guess I should elaborate a little more for all y'all faithful Yelp readers. I tried a couple of different bagels at Noe Bagel. The sesame and everything bagels are both generously coated, with a beautiful outer crust that has just the right texture. The inside is soft and chewy. It's a classic New York-style bagel that will satisfy even your strongest bagel cravings. The mini bagels maintain that same excellence, just in a smaller form. Because of their size, the crust-to-center ratio gives you more of the micro-blistered snap that I love about bagels. Personally, I'd choose two or three minis over one regular bagel. The cream cheese is also excellent--well-balanced and smooth. My favorite is the blueberry cream cheese. It has just a hint of sweetness that brings out the richness and creaminess of the cheese. And, like many spots in San Francisco, they offer a sourdough bagel. It's quite different from their sourdough bread, but I enjoyed it. If you're visiting, I'd recommend giving it a try. For my everyday go-to, I'd stick with a classic sesame or plain bagel, but Noe Bagel has enough variety to keep things interesting if you want to switch it up regularly. As a bonus, they sell day-old bagels by the bag for $4. You can freeze them, eat them as-is, or repurpose them into bread pudding. You'll end up with an interesting dish thanks to all the different bagel varieties mixed together--but that's part of the fun!

Was it a cinnamon and sugar sprinkled morning bun that has peach compote filling - or was it another delectable pastry? You definitely have to find and get that one. Everything was delicious, thank you Sisters! We've happily added you to our circuit.

l's caffe has something special that many other businesses can't easily imitate: the ability to make you feel like you are part of a community, that you're a local. (ok, so I am part of the local community, but they remember your orders and some of them even make an effort to learn your name). this has granted them many favors in the way of yelp reviews, i'm guessing, which includes my own. the drinks (coffee, tea, fresh squeezed oj and carrot juice) are all superb, yes, superb. and the way they give you the loose-leaf tea is something you'd expect from a tea house, very cool. the food is mediocre. i've eaten eggs benedict which have been ok, but the potatoes on the side were about one-star worthy. they do have pretty good lox though, which is important for a supplanted jersey jew, but the bagels are just average. what i would do to make this cafe better would be to stabilize all of the tables so that they don't rock. i often sit down and the tables slightly move on their plane to knock half of my coffee onto the table for a direct hit with my computer. almost all of their tables need readjusting, but that's an easy fix. i do really like that there is some art on the walls, but i wish there was more! they seem so community oriented (being a venue for events and having an area for flyers) that i think dose of art could be upped, as they live in such a beautiful, colorful and artistic neighborhood. lastly, the interior decor just isn't as welcoming and comfortable as the people, but this is a very minor gripe. read more

Trying to stand out as a good coffee shop on 24th Street amidst the barrage of unique and delicious spots is about as easy as finding cheap rent in this city. Though Ls Caffe might not visually attractive or drawing the same lines as such neighborhood gems as Philz, Ritual and Dynamos, there's just something about it that has slowly but surely made it my favorite coffee shop on this street. The environment inside is relaxing and studious, conducive to extended reading sessions without the distractions of a buzzing coffee shop. The people who work there are incredibly friendly and attentive. Their Americano's (double or triple) are simply good, delivering a perfect late-night homework buzz. They have great crepes. They have good bagels. Best of all: They serve Anchor Steam in nice tall glasses that they bring out to your table; foamy amber towers of deliciousness. If you live near 24th street and you want to find somewhere that doesn't feel like it's some new elite thing, go to Ls, take a seat and stay for a while. read more

Very cute. I've walked by this place several times on the way home from work and always think "free wi-fi, well, I should check it out sometime." Sometime finally came today as I needed a distraction- (read: TV-) free environment to get some work done. The organic food was tasty... I had a vegetarian sandwich on foccasia, a mocha and a chocolate chip cookie. The lady working the counter today was super friendly, moreso than anyone I've ever ordered food from in San Francisco (and that includes the French waiter at Levende Lounge who went on and on about e. coli in spinach and on the skin of watermelons) before now. Since today was Sunday, it was pretty slow in there through the afternoon, but I appreciated that it was quiet and laid back. Now, if only they had a patio or sidewalk seating where I could smoke, eat nummy food, sip latte drinks, and work on my laptop at the same time... then it would be perfect. At least the trade off is a two minute walk home. read more

Stopped in here the other day during my lunch break on a cold rainy day. The place looked nice and the staff was really nice, but I have to say for how much I paid for my sandwich and drink ($12.00) I wish it would have been a little better. This is my favourite cafe anywhere. Nice ambiance and artwork, and the owner and all the staff are sweet and friendly. They have great almost-new-york-style bagels, and I really appreciate getting my coffee in a ceramic mug rather than a paper cup that you get at so many other places. Good job, L's! read more

I stopped by on a Monday afternoon around 2:30 PM looking for a place to post up and do some light studying. When I arrived the place was mostly empty. The woman working the counter was extremely pleasant and promptly took my order. I kept things simple and got an Americano and a Cheese Danish to snack on while I took care of some stuff for work. The Danish was nothing crazy but satisfied my sweet tooth and the Americano was standard. More than anything, my favorite thing about the place was the ambiance. This definitely feels like a locals joint. If you find yourself in the area and are looking for a quaint place to catch up with friends or just a place to spend some time and relax this definitely checks the boxes.
