I've lived in NYC for 10 years and Halloween is a big festivity for me back home. I thought to…read moremyself....What was there to do for Halloween since I am not originally from Lowell? I searched a few places that may potentially have events going on but it wasn't guaranteed so my cousins and I decided to check out The Lass Stop. I was here the previous week after a wedding and the venue and bar space was beautifully decorated. We decided...let's check this place out for Halloween! I'm sure glad we stopped by since everyone was in their Halloween attire and the music was on point! We didn't have a reserved table but they were kind enough to put us in a booth where we could see everything. The owner was kind enough to introduce himself to us and even offered us a green tea shot! One for the win! The waitress was amazing and although it got really busy in the later part of the evening, she never forgot us and was always attentive. I love Cambodian food (especially finger food to snack on while drinking) and their menu did not disappoint. So about the drinks....it was some of the best and most creative drinks that I've ever had! I've been to the Red Door in Paris (second best bar in the world) and this place beats it by a mile long! My cousins and boyfriend throughly enjoyed this place and we are definitely going to be regulars here! I hope they have holiday theme events here...uh humm (Ugly sweater Christmas weekend....Santa con.....New Years Eve)

First time dinning here. The dynamic of the restaurant was not it for us. My two friends and I got…read morethere around 10pm. During the dining experience the music was on blast like the club. My guess they were transitioning to club scene. Threw us off. I originally ordered the braised oxtail, it took the waitress 40 min to tell me they do not have the oxtail. It also took them 45 min to make 3 cocktail. We were one of two table dining, and there were about 5 ppl at the bar. There were 2 bartenders. I settle for the jerk chicken. The food was mid. I took a couple bite and packed it. My friends pack their food and abandon them in my car.

It looked dark from the outside, and they were doing a ton of decorating inside (for an apparent club night) that almost looked like construction from where we were looking. We went in and asked if they were takeout only, but they hesitantly offered us to dine in (no one else was seated). So we accepted and were sat near the front window where there was a loveseat and armchair near a table. It was a bit haphazard, but it worked. I ordered a modified rasta pasta with tofu and the friend got the butternut squash stew. The food was very good and they accommodated us pretty well when all was said and done. This place so so remarkable, that I had to comment about it. Let me see... what can I say about it?…read more Well... the location is great, and the coffee at breakfast was OK, the bartender Joe was social and friendly. Oh... and the manager Tabitha was compassionate about the foreign object I got in my eye while trying to fix the bathroom sink. It took three emails and two telephone calls to correct my reservation. I am certain the person who answered the call the first time was simply too lazy to make the reservation. She told me that she didn't think you were any rooms but she will call me back in 10 minutes. She didn't call back in the hotel census was about four people. It took more than an hour for the maintenance man to arrive to fix the sink. This was on a Monday afternoon with absolutely no one else in the hotel. I must say the maintenance man was very helpful and friendly, and that he fixed a problem immediately. He also said that "they should be paying you to stay here". The beds are uncomfortable. Homeless people come up to the third-floor to fill up the bags with ice from the ice machine (which indicates that security is lax). For breakfast there are some day old pastries, granola bars, yogurt, orange juice and coffee. There are spoons for the yogurt but there are no knives and forks to cut the pastries. There was one visitor from New Orleans who was attending the folk festival who couldn't find the breakfast area because there is no sign directing people. During the school year this is a dormitory and some rooms set aside for the hotel. In the summer, this facility is mostly a hotel, they bare-bones hotel. There is no restaurant amenities and not too good, and there is no television. That is there is a television but you have to use one of your paid subscription services to use it on Roku to watch any television. The old adage of you get what you pay for holds true. I advise going somewhere else and driving into Lowell if you need to.

Keep in mind. Its not fair to rate a 3 star hotel for not having 5 star accomodations…read more Staff was very friendly, but trying to call them was a chore. The rooms are barren. A tiny tv, a mini fridge and a desk. The bathrooms need an overhaul, and the beds are old spring beds that are loud and not very comfortable. That said, the price was right and immediately available, and located right bybthe auditorium we had tickets too (Blippi), Had bread and pastries for breakfast available. Its an old dorm for the university so its what you expect. Only proper complaint i have. Is the main door does not fit in the way. Its an inch and a half too short and a half inch short on width which allows the other wise black out capability of the room (window curtains wrre perfect) to light up the whole room from the hallway.
