We loved our meal there, and the restaurant will be dead in six months…read more The ambiance is just gorgeous. They did such a great job it makes me believe they blew their budget on it. It feels North African with a modern spin. All the seating is comfortable and makes you want to lounge. Our meals were great. Expensive, but great. It was the little things that gave us pause: forgetting they were out of Guinness and trying to give me a glass of something else as if I wouldn't notice, my son's filet (which was incredible) didn't have the sauce he ordered with it and brought out the sauce five minutes later, the landscaping was all dead and thrown together. Like I said, minor things, but taken in totality makes you go "hmmmm". It was Friday night and the place was very empty. I think they may have miscalculated their demographic to cross the bridge for an elegant meal. The reviews really lambaste the slow service and I think it's actually intended. This is fine dining, not Texas Roadhouse. You're spending a lot of money on an over priced piece of meat for the experience. They want you to sit back, sip an espresso martini and chat. Take your time. Digest and laugh. Trust me, you're paying for it so you may as well enjoy it. The food was outstanding. Just wonderful. I was the first one to order from the new menu and the two lamb shanks meal was sinful. Lots of small app plates to occupy a teenager, too. All in all a great restaurant that I'm afraid will die too quickly to remedy the small problems that have popped up. I'm crossing my fingers for them.

Years ago this resort was Stonehenge and everything was glorious. The dining room was special with…read moreamazing food.Apparently it closed and was bought and renamed.Although the outside still looks lovely, the inside lighting is very dark.I stayed here due to its proximity to a party I was attending in the area. The hostess informed me upon check in that the dining room and bar were closed due to lack of staff. Okay, but it's Saturday! Luckily I had eaten at the party so I decided to use the pool.It was a bit of a walk to get to the pool. One needs to leave the front of the hotel and through the parking lot, following a path to the pool.Apparently, there is no way to access the pool without making this journey. It's okay during the summer but limits use in winter.Inside the pool one other family informed me that the hot tub wasn't very hot.I tried it for myself and it was lukewarm. At least the jets worked. The ladies room is lacking safety mats and doesn't have a specified changing room, just two toilets. There was a door with no door knob and when I opened it saw what is apparently a spa.As it was closed and dark I closed the door.As I entered the pool area there were tools just laying around. For 300 a night, one expects a higher quality experience. The room itself didn't have any info. about the area and didn't have a welcoming vibe. There should be a safety mat in the bathroom. In the morning I was hoping for the advertised breakfast.Upon entering the breakfast area I saw a bunch of appliances lined up but hardly any food to eat. There wasn't even a coffee station. There was a sad small Keurig maker. All they offered was cold cereal, stale tiny croissants, fruit that looked sad, grapes still in their package...not even cleaned or presented. In the fridge there was just milk.No juice! The other family that came in with kids told their mom they were hungry and asked"where is the food?" They left.I ate a stale croissant, and drank a Keurig coffee and left hungry.I've stayed at hotels all across the country and have never seen such a disgraceful display. If you're going to charge 300 a night then make an effort! Sincerely, Maryjane Schram
