Years ago this resort was Stonehenge and everything was glorious. The dining room was special with…read moreamazing food.Apparently it closed and was bought and renamed.Although the outside still looks lovely, the inside lighting is very dark.I stayed here due to its proximity to a party I was attending in the area. The hostess informed me upon check in that the dining room and bar were closed due to lack of staff. Okay, but it's Saturday! Luckily I had eaten at the party so I decided to use the pool.It was a bit of a walk to get to the pool. One needs to leave the front of the hotel and through the parking lot, following a path to the pool.Apparently, there is no way to access the pool without making this journey. It's okay during the summer but limits use in winter.Inside the pool one other family informed me that the hot tub wasn't very hot.I tried it for myself and it was lukewarm. At least the jets worked. The ladies room is lacking safety mats and doesn't have a specified changing room, just two toilets. There was a door with no door knob and when I opened it saw what is apparently a spa.As it was closed and dark I closed the door.As I entered the pool area there were tools just laying around. For 300 a night, one expects a higher quality experience. The room itself didn't have any info. about the area and didn't have a welcoming vibe. There should be a safety mat in the bathroom. In the morning I was hoping for the advertised breakfast.Upon entering the breakfast area I saw a bunch of appliances lined up but hardly any food to eat. There wasn't even a coffee station. There was a sad small Keurig maker. All they offered was cold cereal, stale tiny croissants, fruit that looked sad, grapes still in their package...not even cleaned or presented. In the fridge there was just milk.No juice! The other family that came in with kids told their mom they were hungry and asked"where is the food?" They left.I ate a stale croissant, and drank a Keurig coffee and left hungry.I've stayed at hotels all across the country and have never seen such a disgraceful display. If you're going to charge 300 a night then make an effort! Sincerely, Maryjane Schram

Wow. Came here last night and just have to write a review…read more I have been drinking and preparing kava for a few years. Always wanted to go to a kava bar, but the east coast never really had this. Last night the stars aligned. We came in not knowing what to expect. We were warmly greeted by Olivia (kava-tender), who explained the menu and brought us a small shell of kava to try. The Polynesian mule is mind-blowingly good. It was so good, we did 2 rounds of this. Definitely will be back to try more drinks. The live music was also amazing. Very talented musician-- played a lot of Grateful Dead, and even Alice's Restaurant. The vibe is very chill, while also warm and welcoming. For context: I am a non-drinker of alcohol, and despise bars/being around loud drunk people. This is a totally different experience, in the very best ways.

The owners husband and wife are very nice and knowledgeable on Kava when they speak you can feel the passion that they have for not only their business but for their beverages. I had the traditional Kava bowl, it's earthy and served on a shell ( maybe coconut) with a small wedge Of pineapple as a chaser, I also tried a lavender tea it was very good you can definitely taste the lavender. This place is a must try in my opinion the ambience, the beverages , the people all make me want to go back.

Five Star Food And Service At The Village Inn!…read more We decided to check out The Village Inn in Dracut MA seeing so many posts that people enjoyed it. It was 4 pm on a Saturday and the place was very busy. We thought we were going early. There was one booth left.... 4 is not early at this place. Sat down and server Charlie came right over to take out drinks order. He came back shortly after with water, the drinks and a basket of 2 crusty rolls that were right out of the oven with a generous amount of butter. You didn't have to ask for bread like at a lot of establishments, or have them say no, we don't have any bread like you see everywhere today. I decided to order the Baked Seafood Platter $26.99! I wanted to try the scallops, fish and baked stuffed shrimp, so what better way than to get a little of each? I was a little skeptical.. lately I have been getting horrible wet scallops that are treated with chemicals. Thought for sure it was going to be another disappointment with the Scallops, but I figured I had the other two items so why not go for it? I got a baked potato and carrots as well. All came on a plate with delicious looking buttery cracker crumb topping. I gotta tell you my first bite was a scallop. The look on my face told it all! I couldn't believe how sweet and delicious those scallops were! They were delicious, and I mean delicious! The fish was fresh (not frozen or old) and delicious as well. The shrimp were smaller ones but also delicious. The baked potato was cooked perfectly and the carrots were fresh and perfectly cooked and seemed to have a hint of maple syrup in them. A lot of places you get carrots and they are either frozen or raw. Not here. My husband decided to try the Prime Rib. He said he called to check and see if they had Prime Rib the night we were going, and a guy told him they have it every night. He got the smaller 16 oz piece for $31.99. Turns out it was super tender, cooked perfectly, the aujus was the real deal and not salty canned beef broth. He also got baked potato and onion rings ($1.49 upcharge). We loved the onion rings as well. Thin slices of onion perfectly fried. He said the 16 oz was more than enough and ate it all. This place is a hidden gem. A lot of comments mention it being dated, etc. It is clean and pleasant. I go to a restaurant for delicious food hopefully at a very reasonable price. The Village Inn fits that bill. Couldn't believe how good the food was and the prices they charge very resonable! When were leaving there people waiting all over the place. Good thing we didn't go later, we may have not waited. Now that we know how good it is, we would wait. There menu is a vast assortment, something for everyone. Our server Charlie was AWESOME!!! Very attentive and knowledgeable. When we mentioned how delicious everything was, he was so happy and said he would let his family know. He also said to try the steak tips they are very good. I have read that their tip are delicious. Finally, we touched on a restaurant that satisfies all points of going out to eat at a restaurant. Food: delicious, Service: excellent, Price: Very reasonable, and loads of parking! We will be regulars for sure!
