The absolutely WORST ....Horrible treatment. Tried calling multiple times to reserve a table well in advance of the date. I was put off 2 times saying we had to call at 21 days in advance. I was willing to put my credit card to reserve the date/time since I was sure of our attendance. I called 24 days in advance now there are absolutely no tables!!!! The manager Is very RUDE and policy is ridiculous No worries! we will have a wonderful celebration at another famed park restaurant across the park with FAR better food and service. read more

Nice lively place. Pool tables, 2 bars and plenty seating everywhere. Love the live bands there. The bar tenders were great. Love the atmosphere there, would recommend this place to anyone that's wants to try a new place to get out and have drinks. Drink prices are good- Be prepared for a cover charge if you go on a Friday & Saturday, but it's worth it to see the live bands. read more

Had great experiences there until a friend of mine was approached by a bartender and was asked to tip more. "You didn't tip enough." She was already given an appropriate tip but my friend ended up giving her all the cash she had out of humiliation. A horrible approach to making tips. They've lost my business. read more

One of the things I love about Lowell/Dracut are these local bars that seem to sprout out of nowhere. Back to the Boathouse is no exception; I grew up in the area maybe 15 minutes away and just realized that this place existed. It's a townie type of bar, and that's why I like it. They have good entertainment lined up, cheap drinks/beer, and is a good place to get together with friends. read more

Love this bar, definitely one of my favorite places to hang out on a Friday or Saturday night. There's a couple of pool tables and dart boards, and a main bar and a back bar. On Friday and Saturday nights there's always a band playing, they have an entertainment schedule posted on their website. Some of the bands are really good and actually develop quite a fan base, I make sure to check the schedule and go when a band I really enjoy happens to be playing. There's usually a cover of $5 or $6 on Friday and Saturday nights. Drinks prices are pretty reasonable, I only drink mixed drinks and they're usually about $6. They're pretty strong, too! read more

We were here for the b4b cancer event. A different band on stage every hour from noon until 2a. Great cause. Well stocked bar and the bar tenders were attentive. They have done a great job fixing this place up! It's very nice and clean in there with large TVs to watch a game and a new stage for bands. The food at Rebel Kitchen is great! Unfortunately, the service is terrible. I have been a few times now and the bartenders seem to have no experience serving anything other than beer or wine. They messed up a scotch and soda (tasted sweet??), they never seem to notice when you need a refill. It's also unclear if they consistently offer table service. A couple of months ago my husband and I went in when it was pretty close to empty. The bartender saw us come in and sit at a table. She proceeded to clean tables for 5 minutes not even greeting us. We ended up going to ask if we can get a drink and once we finished our first one we sat for a long time with an empty glass (again had to go up to the bar to get her) We were there last weekend and sat at a table while the two bartenders stood there talking to each other and eating. We finally went up there to order our own drinks and they looked a bit annoyed that they had to do some work. Since Rebel Kitchen takes care of the food part, the bartenders only need to work on drinks and they fail. The last couple of times I have seen the owner there so I'm not sure why he isn't paying attention to this. After the first bad drink last weekend, we headed to another bar and stayed for three hours eating and drinking. Unfortunately, they lost our business that day. This is definitely not a place for a family to go to lunch. It might be fun on a Friday or Saturday night, but it was very dark, the atmosphere was foreboding and the view into the kitchen made me think "it's not worth the risk". Needless to say we walked in and walked right back out. read more

This is seriously my most favorite bar in all the land. Wednesday nights are Corn Hole Tournaments (5$, but can win cash prize) and Karaoke. Mid to Late 30ish crowd. Thursday nights are for the younger crowd with Beer Pong, or something of the like. Friday and Saturday nights the Boathouse always has the BEST bands!! And for a 5$ cover, I feel like I am at a real rock concert most weekends. I have become a loyal patron because of the strong music scene here. The bartenders are fabulous, fast, friendly and funny! And lastly, don't forget your breakfast sandwich at last call for the ride home! I also like how they support a lot of local benefits for cancer, kids, injured on job or accident. I just seriously LOVE this place. Oh and it is on the lake, so it is pretty to drink on the deck during the day and early evenings. read more

Great place to visit during the week and a busy crowd on weekends. They have two bars to accommodate for busy nights. They offer food, TV's, pool tables, in-door cot hole, darts, a deck along the lake and a Different event each weeknight. Saw a band play here. Place isn't family friendly, ITS A BAR!, staff was super helpful. Bartenders were fast and made delicious drinks. Nice big place to hang out on a Friday/Sat night. Pool tables were good. Bathrooms were clean. Plenty of place to sit down. If totally see a band play here again. Hope they keep getting good bands. read more

My friends and I enjoy the bands there on the weekends and the DJ has great in between music. Last month they had the fog machine on and my friend asked if they could shut it off. She was told they would turn it down. By the time I got home I had a severe reaction to the fog machine, I stopped breathing and went into full asthma respitory shut down, for a month I had to be on all kinds of meds. I was in a chemical fire but didn't know the adverse affects it would cause. My Dr. said how bad those things are for everyone, the singers , the dancers the employees etc... When I called to speak to a management, but spoke to a bartender , I was told the she herself had asthma and it didn't affect her, I don't believe she was dancing like we were near the machine,but I don't know. We were not the only ones who don't like it every one there hates the fog machine!!! We were told to call before we came in next time, that was a joke, then we went in to see a band this Saturday and once again my friend asked politely if they would be using the fog machine? The Sound guy JEFF told her to " Go FUCK OFF!!!! And that we shouldn't come in there if we didn't like it." I have never seen her upset before and we are regulars who tip very well to the girls. there are different types of fog machines that use different chemicals, they need to be aware of the hazards to not only their costumers, that support them but their own employees who have to breathe it in every weekend. I just ask that the owner do some research on what type they have and if it is being cleaned after each use. Also many establishments and haunted houses amusement parks have notices of use of fog machines, WARNINGS. The Group we go dancing with will not be going back to this dive bar, not because of the stupid fog machine, but of the gross neglect and uncaring rude employee who should have been fired on the spot for talking to such a wonderful person like she was a piece of garbage, the four of us left very upset. I am saddened to realize that a machine is more important than common courtesy and the health of everyone. I have called to speak to management three times, no one is ever there. The last bartender I spoke with said the owner would call, I'm still waiting. read more

Seriously consider this to be one of the worst bars I've ever been to. They haven't done anything to clean it up since I attended a birthday bash with friends when it was formerly "Deb's Lakeview Lounge." There's a stench as soon as you walk through the door that's very unappealing, and it looks extremely dirty and dated inside. They could use a good cleaning, few coats of paint and maybe updating the decor. The drinks are too strong- I'm SURE the bar is losing money because of the way the bartenders over pour (Can you say get John Taffer & Bar Rescue in here?) and quite frankly, the "locals" that frequent this place do not make it all that appealing or friendly either. You feel as if you're being stared down from the first second you walk in. Having said that all, it does put out some very good local bands - hence- the reason for the ONE star above. Other than the bands however, avoidance of this place is key. read more
